  Problem solved!

  Created a Restore Point system and boldly charged before.  Using the Safari browser, I open the Flash Player download page and installed the version of Safari.

  The Flash Player Plugin for Safari installed correctly with zero negative impact on Flash Player IE8.

  I was too careful... my concerns were unfounded.

There are also a couple of Add ons that should be checked, one for IE and one for FF or other browsers. To check for IE is generally add ons, the Shockwave Flash Object, must be selected. In FF (Firefox) or other browsers, it's the SWF plug-in and it must be enabled. The SWF file should be vs 10.0.45.2 after it(vs 10.0) the SFO would Flash10e.ocx.
