  For the installation of two Windows OS (called Dual Boot), you first determine what exactly the BONES. Based on this, you can proceed to install the oldest operating system first, then installing the latest OS. Here, in your case, Windows XP first and then Windows 7.
  If you change the order, the latest version of Windows will not work correctly.
  In addition, you can use Virtual PC or VMware to use Windows XP in Windows 7. Windows XP Mode is another version of Microsoft which allows you to use Windows XP in Windows 7 through Virtual PC. You can download Windows XP Mode from here:

  To install Windows XP Mode, you must have Windows 7 Professional or higher, with hardware virtualization enabled in your PC (you should check in the BIOS of your PC). If you prefer Windows XP Mode, you don't have to install Windows XP in the above mentioned way. It installs like any other program on Windows 7.
  Note that if you have Windows 7 Edition Home Premium or lower edition, you can try Windows XP using Virtual PC/VMware or dual-boot.
