  (1) fix the WD to another computer with a box USB or SATA / USB and format it. Delete completely all the partitions on the disk in this way.   In my opinion, Windows XP Home edition installation should not be problematic.

  What you need is Windows XP Home SP2 or SP3 and driver SATA edition disc. Without SATA driver disk HARD will be not visible to Windows XP Home edition.

  I think the problem is that you tried to install Win XP without installation of the SATA driver.
  The A210 need driver SATA to recognize the HARD drive.

  You can also check the BIOS settings. There should be an option called SATA mode.
  This can be set between AHCI and compatible and this will allows you to install the Win XP without the first installation of SATA drivers.

  PS: It is advisable to use Win XP including SP3! You can include the SP3 using nLite software!
