How to install Windows XP on my NetBook via USB
Can you tell me how to install Windows XP on my NetBook via USB as there is no CD to my Samsung N100 NetBook?
Go to the Samsung's Web Site, click on the "Support" link and find/download a manual for your computer. Somewhere in the manual (sometimes in the appendix) the procedure of installing Windows XP on your model will be explained. However, having said all that, my bet on the response from Richard Harper and you will probably have to you beg/borrow/steal/buy an external USB CD-ROM drive.

Thank you!Hello @Thufail19,
Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! It's a good place to find the help you need, so many other users, the HP experts and other members of the support staff.
I read your post about installing Windows and he wanted to help!
As long as you have the product key for Windows, you can install via USB or the software disk. Just follow the instructions on the screen. You can check this site to see if your product is compatible with Windows 10: upgrade to Windows 10
If you are not sure about Windows 10, then I recommend installation 8.1 Windows and recovery media creation. You can use this document to help you, if necessary: HP PC - create a recovery Image on disk or save a recovery Image on a Flash drive (Windows 8)
In this way, you can upgrade to Windows 10 If you choose, and if you are not happy with it, you can return to Windows 8. 1. once the operating system is ready to go, you can get the drivers you need for your product at the following site: drivers - HP for laptop - 15-af008ax
Here are a few documents about 10 additional Windows:
HP Notebook PC - upgrade to Windows 10
HP computers - understanding and using Windows 10
HP products - where to find Windows 10 drivers and software for my model?
Please let me know if this information has been helpful by clicking the thumbs up below.

How to install Windows 7 on several desktop computers?
I would like information about how to install Windows 7 on desktop sixteen I just built.
I build them from scratch. I want to know how to install Windows 7 on them.
What type of disc do I need to buy... Do I have to buy 16 disks in Windows 7... or is there a simpler solution?
OK, I'll look into the full retail version. That means, correct me if I'm wrong, what with the commercial full version Windows, I can install it on all built I want, as many times I want, it just cannot be installed on multiple computers that is active.
No, incorrect.
Full version (retail):
-a computer can only be reinstalled many times on the same computer.
-Includes the rights of transfer to another computer.
-Does not require a qualifying earlier version of Windows.
-Expensive
Upgrade version (detail):
-a computer can only be reinstalled many times on the same computer.
-Includes the rights of transfer to another computer.
-require a qualifying earlier version of Windows.
-Expensive, but less expensive full version
OEM System Builder version:
The OEM of Windows 7 versions are identical to the versions commercial full license with the following exception:
-OEM versions don't offer any free direct support from Microsoft technical support Microsoft
-OEM Licenses are tied to the computer first you install and activate it on
-OEM versions allow all hardware upgrades except for an upgrade to a different model motherboard
-OEM versions does not move directly from an older Windows operating system
But, even once, correct me if I'm wrong, OEM, once the computer version dies, the OEM licenses dies with him, and I'll need to buy another license... Fix?
Fix
So my best bet would be to go with the full retail version of Windows 7?
Depends on, which is why it is best to get full retail Windows 7, but they are difficult to obtain.
What version of Windows 7 System Builder? I've never heard of this, but I see it at Walmart.com, etc..
System Builder - aka OEM license.

I would like to know how to install Windows Server 2008 and Windows 7 Enterprise from a USB key, please.
I'm not trying to run either on the USB key, I just need to know how to install from a USB key. I tried Multiboot, grub for DOS and other, but they do not seem to work :/
I am going through a book that uses these two to form Microsoft MCITP: Server 2008 Administrator and if I could install these Via USB, this would save my records and a lot of hassle... basically just for convenience, as everything that I need will be on a stick * lol *.
Otherwise, I'll have to use discs instead :)
Take a look at this:

Adding an SSD as a boot drive - how to install Windows Vista Start
To speed up my new e9105z, I bought a new 80 GB Intel X - 25 M to reduce disk latency and complete the 640GO HARD drive came with my computer.
Drive has been installed successfully, recognized by the PC and formatted with the Windows Vista Disk Manager tool. When I use the BIOS tool to set the Intel SSD as my boot drive, it says that some files of startup is missing, and I come to on the HARD disk as the startup disk.
Bottom line: how to install Windows Vista on the SSD and configure it to start? Did I lose my classic HDD data in the process?
Thank you

Here is where I am/measures taken. HP of course makes this difficult process:
(1) used the CD Creator to make a backup. (Note that the CD - R does not work with the e9105z software. Do only DVD-R). (I tried the system HARD disk recovery image. He simply reinstalled itself on the HARD disk.)
(2) the value of Vista installed on the SSD via backup DVDs. System starts beautifully with SSD. Hooray! I was about to declare mission accomplished, then...
(3) Reconnected my HDD SATA cable, she failed to be the startup disk.
(4) I used disk management to reformat the HARD drive to erase its boot sector. It is always default to the HARD disk, which is more a Vista on it. Now, I must go into the BIOS and choose the Intel SSD as boot drive whenever I turn on manually.
Any idea on what needs to be done to configure the BIOS to finally settle the SSD as my boot drive? The backup system image is still on the old hard drive. Could that be throwing?
The SSD speed is great, but the 6 + hours spent on Vista reinstall, reinstall and reinstall throughout this trial and error process made a royal PITA to do. It seems that HP didn't consider that whether by adding a second drive that is bootable.
Thank you
millergd
You should be able to select the startup disk in the BIOS. Restoring image shouldn't be a factor. If the BIOS settings do not work, I would swap the connectors between the readers.
Good luck

I am currently give up and try to install Windows 7 instead, hoping that he'll be fine
If any of you guys have any suggestions please tell me this is greatly appreciated!

I don't think that you can install Windows 7 with Boot Camp on El Capitan:
- A Microsoft Windows installation media or disc image (ISO) containing a 64-bit version of Microsoft Windows 8 or later *.
From: How to install Windows using Boot Camp - Apple Support.
Windows 10 is simply too new for your Mac, and Windows 7 is too old. It is quite a difficult situation. If you really need Windows, you would need to get a copy of Windows 8, or put to level to an earlier version of Mac OS X with a version of Boot Camp that works in Windows 7.

JohnHello John
It is not easy to understand the whole situation, especially the part with the virus.
In my opinion, Windows XP Home edition installation should not be problematic. What you need is Windows XP Home SP2 or SP3 and driver SATA edition disc. Without SATA driver disk HARD will be not visible to Windows XP Home edition.

Satellite A210-15Y - how to install Windows XP?
I had Windows Vista and I improve it with Windows 7. Now, I really want to install Windows XP.
When I put the Windows XP CD in after awhile I get a blue screen whit an error.pls tell how to install Windows XP on my laptop and if I need some drivers do pls put links of whereIi can get them.
PS Sorry for the bad English
Hello
I think the problem is that you tried to install Win XP without installation of the SATA driver.
The A210 need driver SATA to recognize the HARD drive. You can also check the BIOS settings. There should be an option called SATA mode.
This can be set between AHCI and compatible and this will allows you to install the Win XP without the first installation of SATA drivers. Also check the other threads here in the forum on the same topic!
PS: It is advisable to use Win XP including SP3! You can include the SP3 using nLite software!

Re: Portégé R700 - how to install Windows 7 on new SSD?
Hello!
I want to change my HDD in Toshiba Portege R700 to SSD. How to install Windows 7 on this new SSD? I don't have any Windows installation disc.
Or that it will be possible to move the partition of the old HDD to new SSD (using Acronis, I could move the partition on the new HARD drive)?
I've heard of partition offset and this SSD block should be the same as FAT cluster (the same alignment).
All advice? (I know should I defragment my HARD drive before moving :))
Hey Buddy,
> I do not have any Windows installation disc.
Create the Toshiba recovery disc as mentioned in the manual of the user before you exchange the disc, then you have a Setup disk. The Toshiba recovery disc will restore parameters of the box with all the drivers and tools. It can be used on each disc and how many times you want. After this change the drive and start the Toshiba recovery disc. Follow the instructions on the screen and everything will be installed.
Check this box!

NB100 - how to install Windows 7 without CD player
Hello. I was wondering if anyone knows how to install Windows 7 Pentecost on a CD player.
I have an external HARD drive.
Is - this posibel to make an image on this one to boot from?Hmm, I think that's not possible.
I know that it was possible to install Win XP without the disc.
You simply copied the folder integer i386 to the HARD disk and executed to the Winnt. EXEI have no experience with Win 7 but I also didn t find details that something like that would not be possible so I guess that's not possible

Satellite A505-S6922 - how to install Windows 7 drivers?
I have an A505-S6992 and I try to do a clean install of Windows 7 Ultimate. I created the recovery with drivers and applications disc. In what order should I install and how to install Windows 7 ultimate?
I tried to install by going just to the bottom of the list of applications/drivers, but has encountered an error.
I think that the order of the facilities must be similar or even the same as on Vista.
After the clean install of Win7 continue with:
Chipset
Robson driver
Display driver
Audio driver
LAN
Touch Pad Driver
Card reader
TOSHIBA software modem
Wireless LAN driver
Chicony camera software
Bluetooth stack
Port driver
TOSHIBA Value Added Package
TOSHIBA hardware configuration utility
TOSHIBA supervisor password
TOSHIBA Flash Cards Support utility
TOSHIBA SD Memory utilities
AuthenTec fingerprint utility
TOSHBA face recognition
TOSHIBA ConfigFree
TOSHIBA WPS library
TOSHIBA Assist
TOSHIBA Speech System
CD/DVD Drive Acoustic Silencer
TOSHIBA TRS driver
HDMI Control Manager
Of course, it is order facilities Vista and maybe you won't find listed some stuff on the page to download, but at least you can see how it should be installed.
Next week, I'll get my new Satellite A500 and I'll test the Win7 installation. Please let me know if you will be able to install it with success.
Good luck!
