  I just started with my map of series R 7813.  I could create a simple VI in which I could send and receive digital signals.  Now, I would like to do something similar using my 9151 expansion chassis and 9401 module C-series.  If possible, I would like to do this using windows (no RT for now).  Now I'm right click on "my computer" in the project tree and adding new devices to find the 7813.  From there, I have an idea how build a simple VI using the example of OR.  However, I don't know where to look for the expansion chassis or C Series module.  If someone could give me some advice or point to an example, would be great.  I've seen examples example Finder for the 9401, but they seem to use a system as opposed to the PXI configuration compactDAQ.

  The steps that you must take to configure your installation in the project window LabVIEW is as follows:

  Step 1...

  

  Step 2... This step should be automatically filled in with the existing PXI-7813R if it is connected. If you want to configure the target without the smart card, you can simply add a new target as follows.

  

  Step 3... This is the point to which you will add the NOR-9151 expansion chassis:

  

  Step 4...

  

  Step 5...

  

  Step 6... If you have the module connected to the chassis, you should be able to see the module in the list:

  

  Step 7... If the module is not connected, you can simply select 'new target or device' in the menu at step 6 and add a new target as follows:

• PXI-5402 IVI TestStand 4.2 returned "niFgen_InitWithOptions" resource not found

  Hi, I am very new in TestStand.

  I hope someone could help me.

  I have a complete sequence in which an ivi should initiate a PXI-5402.

  (It is an old sequence that I inherited. It is now my job to make it work again).

  We have another system with a PXI-5401 (appears to the MAX as traditional-DAQ) which works very well with this sequence.

  I created a new sequence in order to simplify troubleshooting with just "IVI Fgen" step.

  When in click on 'Validate' and uncheck "Simulate" and hit "Init", I get:
  niFgen_InitWithOptions returned an error:-1073807343 (0xbfff0011). Insufficient location information or the requested device or resource is not present in the system. If the resource descriptor is a name of IVI, it must match the entry in the store of IVI Configuration in a case-sensitive manner.
  Source: TSIviStepTypes [error Code:-31619]

  In NOR-Spy I get following error
  > Status: 0xBFFF0011 (VI_ERROR_RSRC_NFOUND)

  I think that I have configured all correct. Please see attached screenshot.
  I tried different names IVI-logic...
  For this remove as first cause, I direct the pilot Session that appears correctly on the iviConfiguration of reference.

• Calculation of the frequency of real output of a PXI-5402

  I have a card PXI-5402, sitting in a high chassis. I'm only interested in the sine wave output at frequencies up to about 10 kHz. I know that it is possible to request an output frequency and then interrogate the acutal output frequency but I prefer to be able to calculate before hand. All I can find in the literature is a figure of 0.355uHz for the frequency resolution.

  Is there a better description of the frequency resolution? If this is not the case, the resolution is exactly 0.355uHz or is it an approximation (to 3 significant digits)?

  The 0.355uHz value is a theoretical value of the frequency rate achievable depending on the size of the accumulator Phase and clock frequency.   According to me, Fc for the NI 5402/5406 must be 100M and the size of the accumulator is 48 bits. Frequency resolution so = Fc / 2N = (100 × 10 ^ 6) / 2 ^ 48 = 3.55271368e - 7

  Keep in mind that the device has a VCXO frequency accuracy specification of + / 25ppm, if you have no PLL block him to a better source.

  Only the PC engine can do directly co-simulation with Simulink. You cannot use a MDL file directly on a target of RT. This type of co-simulation is certainly not in real time and is not suitable to run on an RT target that performs other urgent tasks. You can have multiple targets in your system definition, then you might have an RT target and a target PC. But you need means of communication between the two target types. Which may include a model or a custom device.

  I have a PXI-1010 chassis with four cards PXI-6115, labeled boards 3, 4, 5, 6, installed in it.  Each of these cards has 4 analog inputs (BNC inputs).  In my current system, all four boards fire off the coast of the entrance on first 3 analog.  I'm using an analog trigger mounted on Board 3, which then triggers a trigger digital beginning on the boards, 4, 5 and 6.

  Now, I would be able to take samples before firing.  I worked on this for a while and that seems to happen is that 3rd Chess Board properly triggers and takes samples of relaxation before, but plates 4, 5 and 6 are somehow trigger too late or early or something - they never record my test signal input of.

  Can someone help me understand where I'm going wrong here?  I enclose my VI and also a picture of the important part of my block diagram.

  It could be that you connect the number of samples per channel in the clocks of the sample for tables 4, 5 and 6. This will ensure that the task creates a buffer on your PC that is large enough to accommodate all the samples you want to read.

  Also, why did you remove the structure of sequence? You need to ensure that the advice of slaves were armed in front of the master bedroom.

  I see that you are looking in the scanning options.  I would like to help.

  As there is no software available for Mac OS X 10.9 HP, you are advised to use the driver of digitization of the OS from Apple.  I'm including a document I would recommend using, title v10.9 OS X Mavericks: installing and using the printer on a Mac.  There is a section called "How to scan with Apple software update driver?"  This should help to address the issue.
