How to make a picture of Recovery DVD for my Satellite A200 - 1 GB?

Hi Experts,

As I have written before that I divided my 2nd HARD drive partitions in to 2partitions.

Now, I want to make a DVD of recovery unless the manufacturer provided DVD.

The reason I want it is the said USER MANUAL when we restore the provided manufacturer DVD it will FORMAT all Partitions and restore the HARD drive to the original state (when he come there two partitions).

So now, I'm doing a recovery DVD to recover the laptop with on the FORMATTING of the second partitions.
I just want to format only C drive and install the Vista operating system and other software manufacturer provided.
Then other readers will be safe and data on these partitions will be safe.

I ask you help me on this.

It's better if someone can give me instructions for this operation.

Thank you!!! {: 8}

Hello

It's pretty easy, but you must right and Vista compatible program. I use Windows XP edition family Norton Ghost, but on this page you can find useful information on the most recent and the Vista compatible version.

I get the same thing for me. It is very good program and I can really recommend Norton Ghost.

The easiest way is to use a scanner to scan the picture.  Of course if you don't have a scanner, so it is more problematic.  Another way would be to have someone take a photo of the print with a digital camera and upload the image on your computer or on ancestry.com for you.  Take a photo of the print is not the best and takes some skill, but it's a way.  You can also take the printout to a place of photo processing.  If you live in the United States, then Wlagreens, Wal-Mart or a similar place probably can scan the photo for you put the results scanned on a CD or a flash drive for you, then use the results to ancestry.com.

  • Have I not correct recovery DVD for a factory reset?

    Hello

    My laptop is a ProBook s 4540

When I bought it, it came with 4 DVDs:

    • Application and Driver Recovery DVD (windows 7)
    • Operating system DVD Windows 7 Professional SP1
    • Application and Driver Recovery DVD (windows 8)
    • Operating system Windows 8 Pro DVD

At some point I want to Factory Reset my laptop and I wonder if this dvd is to do it since I do not have the recovery with the recovery discs manager.

Have I not correct recovery DVD for a factory reset?

    Hello

Even better. Factory reset will bring more information, including the bloatware. Two sets of DVD (for Windows 7 and Windows 8) are the BEST companions. You will get your machine under control and you can download other software also under control.

We all love having two RST for each operating system.

    Kind regards.

There are many solutions. A more simple: put the text and the items colored in the back and put the 'shape' on it. Configuration of the 'shape' become transparent in a stationary state.

  • Recovery of Windows Vista problem for my Satellite A200 - 10 X

My computer was working OK. To speed it up, I decided to reformat the hard disk using the recovery DVD provided by Toshiba. Recovery failed. I tried several ways but keep having the same problem, i.e. the process is going in a loop.

What happens can be summarized as follows: when I turn on the computer using the DVD in the drive for recovery disk, the computer by loading windows files and then formats the hard drive, but stop about 18 percent through the State. Every time that happens the problem starts (X:\Windows\system32\cmd.exe) at ImageX Tools for Windows; and mentions that Files\Toshiba\HD2Go\sea160s_HD.wmv c: Program... WimCopyF ileEx failed. Other errors are: error restore image. The drive is not ready; and ERROR: ImageX would not apply VISTA E:\05006XSP.swm 2 of ODD Index to C:\. ; Press a key... And the screen turns white. There is another window of the screen when i to this happens, who says the administrator: X:\Windows\system32\cmd.exe open in the BACK. After closing this window of the screen empties and the computer for everything in then opens in a Windows boot manager called window and said that windows could not start, winload could not be loaded because the application is missing or damaged.

If I try to boot from HARD drive recovery, there is no success. I tried turning on the computer while pressing C, or pressing 0 (zero) or F8, but without success. I can't go to the page where I can repair the HARD drive as described in the user manual.

I even tried to load an older version of XP, which has loaded but would not recognize the USBs, or sounds or a DVD player, etc.

    Help, please.

    Hello

Very strange! Are you using the Toshiba Recovery DVD for the first time now?

  • How to make a picture of MS and a recovery CD to my HD using Win Pro 7?

I recently went though a Script virus trouble which resulted in my need to blow away (reformat) the HD and install all my programs under license and all the drivers from scratch.

How to make a disk Image of my drive C and also a bootable CD Windows, in which case I have to do this again?

    You hope that it works?

The day you have your backup/restore tools to work is not the day to know that they don't.

Why not make a little test... pretend that your system does not start for some reason unknown and impossible to fix and to do the image you have created to recover.

With the stuff you have since your last operation (a picture that is stored somewhere and a bootable CD), you can at least run a test to see if you can boot from the CD, and then if you can get there far enough, see if you can at least access the images you created.

Of course, you don't have to actually restore the image - just make sure that you can boot from the CD you have done, and from there, you can at least navigate to and find the image that you created and do things at the point choose to restore your system from this image.

Have you checked that you can at least get there?

I use Macrium Reflect (the free version) and keep my images on an external drive.

I made a bootable USB drive using Macrium.

To make me feel better about all of this, I started my system on the USB and from there I could navigate to and view system images stored on my external hard drive and could choose to restore the last picture, if I wanted to.

Of course I didn't really want to restore that image, but at least I got far enough along to believe that if I ever need to restore from an image at least I had something that I could start now and at least find my backup of images in case I ever need to use.

Will it really work if I ever need to use it?  The only way to know for sure would be to actually try it and see and I could do it one day, but at least it looks promising.

If you are using built in tools MS you could do the same kind of test and if you encounter a problem and it does not you can understand what is the problem and see if you can remedy.

Another thing to consider is that if you have a problem with the MS tools and come to this community help I think that it is extremely unlikely that you will find a lot of help with the exception of the most fundamental aspects.  Microsoft has committed that 'experts' alleged Support Engineer here seem unable to solve even the simplest problems.

If you need assistance with your backup/restore operation I don't think you're going to get a lot of Microsoft because Microsoft is not in the business of backup/restore.  This isn't what they are doing and is not their area of expertise.  You will probably get the best help in using the tools of the companies working in the areas of backup/restore, that's all they do and that's what they are doing throughout the day.

In these communities of MS, volunteers are always your most reliable resource for solving problems.

  • How to make a windows vista recovery partition

Hi I have a windows vista desktop computer and I need to do a recovery partition. There is currently no a. How can I make one? My computer has slowed down at the stop and I need recovered

    Hello

You can't do a recovery Partition.

A recovery partition is copied onto your hard drive from the computer manufacturer at their factory.

If you do not have to purchase recovery disc are to make sure that you do not have alreasdy have a recovery hard disk Partition?

    @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@

There are several methods to reinstall Vista.

There is no Windows Vista downloads available from Microsoft.

You can contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.

They should do this for a small fee.

To reinstall Vista using their recovery disk/s, you start from the 1st recovery disk they provide and follow the manufacturer's instructions to reinstall:

You need to change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order:

How to change the Boot order in BIOS:

    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/fixtheproblem/SS/bootorderchange.htm

"How to replace Microsoft software or hardware, order service packs and replace product manuals.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/326246

And if you have never received a recovery disk when you bought your computer, there should be a recovery Partition on the hard drive to reinstall Vista on how you purchased your computer.

The recovery process can be started by pressing a particular combination of the key or keys at startup. (Power on / start)

    Maybe it's F10, F11, Alt + F10, etc., depending on the manufacturer.

Ask them to the proper key sequence.

And if you do not score a manufacturer of recovery on your hard drive, you should be able to make your own recovery from her disks to reinstall the operating system.

Go to programs > name of the manufacturer of your computer > then their system or recovery tools software topics for them, depending on how it is formulated.

If you can't find any reference to it, contact the manufacturer for advice on how to make these recovery disks.

Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.

If this happens, you may need to try this instead:

You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.

Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.

And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs

Here's how to do a clean install of Vista using a DVD of Vista from Microsoft:

"How to do a clean install and configure with a full Version of Vista '

    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/117366-clean-install-full-version-Vista.html

And once the operating system is installed, go to your computer manufacturer's website and get the latest drivers for your particular model or laptop computer.

And phone Activation may be necessary when you use the above installation method.
