Original title: wireless ad - hoc management broadband bandwidth and another question for other users

Hello

Thank you for the update.

It is not a way to limit the bandwidth of the network through the windows. This can be done only between your router and you could contact the router manufacturer for help.

In Windows 7, there is no network integrated monitoring tools. However, you can download and install the link below, below, network monitoring tool that takes care of your bandwidth monitoring network.

Thank you very much for your help, if necessary.

Quite a few questions, send, but I will do what I can to answer them.

I recommend first to buy a router, even if it's one you won't connect to internet and it network with others your PC and printer. This will give you the best features and the results of what you're trying to do.

In addition, the automatic stop of the printer function can be disabled and is not affected by the type of connection. Usually, you can go through the configuration Menu and select tools to change the options there on the energy saving features.

Finally, the auto off function on your computer is a Windows question, but one easy answer. If you're on a laptop, you can right click on the battery in the tray (lower right corner) and change the settings for energy conservation.

You might be better off installing the printer via the USB cord and alternately inspiring when you use it, but which is not optimal if you are printing only a few documents on an irregular basis. A network connection is the easiest to manage across multiple computers, honesty, but you have certain requirements for this connection and limits as well.

  • BlackBerry Torch 9800 smartphones does not detect the wireless Ad Hoc network

I try to connect my Torch 9800 for the ad-hoc WiFi network, I put in place on my Windows 7 PC with Internet sharing.  However, the torch does not list even the SSID in the list of detected networks.  I confirmed that the network Ad - Hoc on Windows 7 is in mode ' Waiting for Users ' and the torch can detect other networks nearby.  I tried clicking on "Other ways to connect" and manually enter the SSID, but it still doesn't work.  I've also confirmed that other devices (an another laptop Win7 and an iPad) have no problem connecting to the Ad Hoc network and Internet connection sharing.  Any ideas?

  • Sharable desktop to any number (say up to 50) of users in Windows XP and Vista when all are connected to a wireless ad-hoc network? Or is there a limit on the number of users that can be shared? ___Thanks

Need to have this configuration in a classroom environment.

I don't know what you mean when you ask a desktop or sharing users.

A network computer can share files and printers with other computers, but there are limits that might make it unusable for you.  Windows XP and Vista allow 5 or 10 concurrent connections by other computers, depending on the version.

You need an operating system of Windows Server or Linux server to allow for more concurrent connections to shared files and printers.

I also fear that an ad - hoc network does not work well with 50 computers.

I have tried (in vain) to set up a network "wireless ad hoc" to allow another pc share my internet connection (which works fine).

Needless to say, it didn't work!  But now... every time I search for wireless networks, my ad - hoc network returns as an available network.  Worse still, it now shows that non-secure, even if I got it.

So I need to remove quickly... but HOW please?

I "removed" control Panel\Manage wireless networks, but it keeps reappearing in the list of available wireless networks to connect to.

    Try this:

Go to control panel > Classic view > Network and Sharing Center > customize > merge or delete network location > highlight the network, and then click on remove.

    I hope this helps.

  • How to configure a printer wireless connected to Time Capsule?

I just bought a printer HP Color LaserJet Enterprise M577z MFP Flow. It has capabilities of wireless printing. So far, I was able to connect wirelessly to one of my MacBook Pro computers, but only by having the printer create an Ad - hoc network that allows up to 5 devices to connect to the printer. But that of not what I want because every computer should manually disconnect the Wi - Fi network, connect to the Ad hoc network, the print job and then reconnect to the Wi - Fi network whenever a print job is required. It is very difficult and frustrating.

What I would like is striking is the printer act like a network printer by wireless connection to my Time Capsule. I can't connect the printer to the USB port of time Capsule because they are far away from each other, and I don't want to use cables throughout my place. But I have no idea on how to do it because I can't find this option in the menu of the writer or configuration of the United Nations the HP utility software.

I hope someone here could help me, please. Thank you!

I have an Epson printer, so some of my experiences may or may not apply.

I also have a time Capsule, and my printer and Time Capsule are far apart.

My current configuration looks exactly what you are looking for: a wireless network provided by Time Capsule than all my Apple devices to a wireless connection, and my printer connects to the same wireless network.

When I first bought the Epson printer, I needed to connect it to the Capsule of time via a USB port.  This sounds as if it were true for you as well.  So, for this very short period. I moved the printer via the USB port next to the printer, the connected Time Capsule, made the setup and then the printer recognized my standard wireless network.  I've returned to steady state, which I use now, with the printer and the far (actually on different floors) Time Capsule.

    Hi Sahid,

Ad hoc networks can only be wireless, so you must have an adapter installed in your computer wireless network to put up or join an ad hoc network.

Check out the link for details on computer-to-computer (ad hoc) network:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/set-computer-to-computer-adhoc-network#1TC=Windows-7

I would be grateful if you can help us with the following information related to the query:

    1. What kind of services to wide band internet connection are you trying to share with other devices? (Mobile broadband, Ethernet or wireless)
    2. What are the devices that you want to share the connection? (Mobile devices, laptops, desktops)

On Windows 7, you can share the internet connection between multiple computers using technology (ICS) ICS Internet.

For reference, you can check the link for how to configure ICS:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/using-Internet-connection-sharing#1TC=Windows-7

Please get back to us with more information related to the internet connection for solve the problem better.
