How to move existing images to a new folder in windows live photo gallery?

Since the thumbnails from the Gallery of windows I want to select several images, resize the and (move) send these resizing images in a newly created folder. (windows 7) From the selection of these images, etc.  in a step by step fashion how is this done.other then drag and drop one! Thank you!! I like to keep these original images selected.

The first step, make a tag on tags and the legend pane on the right column, selecting Add a descriptive tag, type the name that you want to use, click left white space to save this named tag, if you can't see the right column, left click on the display location tab above the toolbar and click on tags and list of pane captions on the extreme right end until he appears,

Press and hold the (ctrl) key as long as you click on the pictures and they all will be fired to the Blues, this highlights them, you click on it, try to make about 20 an hour or more and then just click again to add a descriptive tag and add this tag that you made, you should type the first letter and it will list Repeat the steps to add more selections.

Once you have all the photos you want in this new folder with a common tag associated with them,

* You can then click on the tab (home) located above the toolbar and select (new folder) listed next to the dark blue button, name it and click on an empty spot to save it. And ignore the my photos and desktop parts.

* Library should still be open, make a left click on the (search) tab located above the toolbar, left-click (tags) list in the toolbar, a drop-down of all your tags appears, click the one that you made earlier,

All photos should be included on this page you selected and labeled.

Left click a photo on this page, hold down (CTRL) and press the (A), this will select all the photos on this page.

Left click hold down and drag to the registration file on the folder tree of file so that it lists the name new folders and drop.

I would burn my master DVD to the hard drive on my laptop, so I can open the video in Windows Media Player. I hope I can edit it and burn videos from family.

Just copy the files from the DVD to a folder on your

When you insert the DVD in your DVD player... close

First... just try to rename one of the. VOB files to

  • Windows live photo gallery: original photos lost the transfer to the new computer

photos to the new computer, and the originals have not been transferred as im guessing they're saved in the software/program that cannot be transferred.

If there is not a way to transfer original and edited photos to the new computer, is there a way to return all original with a single click, so that I can transfer the originals on my new computer?

    Thank you.

Thank you, you saved my originals... I copy paste, but can not work how to connect my pictures changed to the originals so that I can click on my modified photos and click on 'back '.

    Thanks again

    ===========================================
Sorry, but I don't have the exact solution for re - associate the
originals with edited versions.  The only thing I would like to know
to try would be to place the originals in the original Images
    folder on the new system.

Maybe... I say just that maybe if you copied the photo gallery
exclusive database of the old system and used it to replace
the database on the new system. (Just copy and paste the file in)
the appropriate on the new system folder, and when you see
... dialog box you want to replace? with? Select Yes.

Also... you could instead of replace your new database...
rename it... Pictures.OLD for example. So if the replacement
do not re - associate files... you can remove the replacement
and rename the OLD version in what it was and the Gallery
must be as it was before the change.

Depending on the version of your photo gallery might be the database
    Pictures.PD5, Pictures.pd6, Pictures.pd7...

The path to the version of Win XP is:

    C:\Documents and Settings\ > user name<\Local>
    Application Data\Microsoft\Windows Live Photo Gallery\
    Pictures.PD4, Pictures.pd5 or Pictures.pd6

    Windows Vista:

    C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Microsoft\
    Windows Photo Gallery\Pictures.pd4 or pd5 pd6

    Windows 7:

    Windows\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\
    Windows Live Photo Gallery\Pictures.pd6

(Sorry, but I'm not sure of the path in Windows 8 but if you)
do a search for PD6 PD7, you should be able to find it.

The former article is a user experience
with the shifting of the database... maybe it would offer a few ideas:

But the next time I go in this same folder they showup new slot-shaped sticker flower. I can go through the same process and click the show the big icon and they will change to a large icon image.

    ===========================================
Complex issue... but I'll try to offer some ideas.

Data that cannot be rewritten on the photo files are archived in the
Windows Live Photo Gallery database owner (Pictures.pd5).
So... move the files may prevent access to the data.

If you move the files to another computer, you may have some
moviing success the Pictures.pd5 file also.

Sometimes data are not written back to the image files, because they
are read only... and sometimes it's because of the file format.

I had the same problem and just think about it. The image must be saved in the folder "my pictures." Right-click of your screen and go down to "Properties" there, press the 'Desktop' tab and click on the 'Browse' button and select your image in the menu. After you have finished click the 'Settings' tab and click on the "Advanced" button, which will bring up a new window, under the section "compatibility, select the"restart the computer before applying the new display settings' option. • Why "Windows Live Photo Gallery" open automatically every time I have save a jpeg image?

Whenever I have save a JPEG of a website for Windows Live Photo Gallery automatically opens.

This has only started happening recently. How can I stop too?
I went to options and clicked the 'open Windows Live Photo Gallery after importing files' option, but it still appears.
It seems to only be with jpeg images.

    Hello Michael,

Has probably had a modified default parameter. To do this: go to control panel and select default programs. When that opens the first series to select your default programs, when this window opens select Windows Live Photo Gallery in the left column and choose defaults for this program on the right side. When this window opens, make sure that the JPEG is not selected. Save your changes and then OK yourself.

And to the home page by default, select programs associate any type of file or Protocol with a program. When this window opens to scroll to the bottom of the left side of the window until you get registration .jpeg. If the default associated program isn't one you want, go to top right and click on change program... When this window opens, either select a program from the list, select one of the other list of programs, or click Browse and select the program in the Explorer style list that is offered.

Let me know if this solves the problem for you.

    Kind regards

  • lost all the images contained in the "my pictures" file on the hard disk while using Windows Live Photo Gallery

I lost all the images contained in the "my pictures" file on the hard drive.  The files are there but when I open the files they are all empty. It's like some 50 folders and each folder contained about 25 or so images jpg. I lost the using the "windows live photo gallery» I found a thread that someone else has had this problem and only one answer was to check the checkbox 'Show hidden files'. I have done this no luck there. When I open "windows live photo gallery" all records are on the left of the window but empty. I did not send any of these files to the "trash".  Can someone tell me how to recover these?

You ran the scanner of MS too? It will take some time, but it must be done. If a virus is responsible for it must be nuked before he can ravage any more.

Send all the pictures? You can still recover these - and get some help course in order to avoid this sort of thing. External hard drives and online storage are worth a small spending to protect valuable files. I also keep the dvd - outdated image files but enough fix if even they can deteriorate over time (but don't we all!)

Let us know if the scan MS lands anything - run the full scan - it will take time.

    Best - R
