How to open a file downloaded microsoft word to macos sierra

How to open a file downloaded microsoft word to macos sierra

You should just be able to double-click on it since OS X built a decompression software. But unless you are sure that the source of the MS Word file is safe and secure, be careful, because a typical method of malware distribution is through such files.

Try the Apple's Pages. It will let you open Word documents and edit them. While the changes are saved in the format of Pages, the file then export to Word format again.

You do not open PDF files in Word. You need a PDF reader.

    Create a file association.

    1. download and save the attachment to the office.
    2. right click on the saved file.
    3. Select: Open with on the shortcut menu.
    4. click on: choose [default] program.
    5 Foxit or Adobe select:
    6. check: always use the selected program to open this type of file.
    7. click on OK.

This should allow you to open these attachments directly from email address now.

  • How to open a file that was downloaded

I've never downloaded an ebook before, and I don't know how to open it.  Download appears in my downloads folder, but when I click it, it does nothing. Can someone help me? Thank you.

Hey, Tommy, I already have Microsoft reader because I've already read books. My problem is that I can't even the book application open IE or Adobe. It just keeps telling me that the program is a file associated with it for performing this action. As I said, I am computer illiterate and have no idea what it means. Help? Thank you.

You do not have Microsoft Reader - but it reads all formats (files.)  What I suggested that you get a Kindle app tries to open several types of eBooks - including MOBI.  You don't need a Kindle DEVICE to use the Kindle APP.  Simply download and install it.

For local ePub files - you need another application as well:
    http://www.nextofwindows.com/top-3-EPUB-reader-for-Windows-8-tablets/

One of these three should work (go, download, install).

    Hello

    See if that helps you.

There is a program to open this file extension listed here:

    http://www.openWith.org/file-extensions/DjVu/1592

DjVu is a graphics format that can be used as an alternative to the PDF format, whereas the DjVU files are much smaller in size; also compresses DjVU files up to 10 times better compared to JPEG or GIF. However, this format is not as popular as PDF, a dedicated application is therefore required to access these files

How to open a file with the extension .odg using Vista?

    Hi Defiant503,

Thank you for visiting the forums of answers.microsoft.com.

I did some research and a file ending with .odg is an OpenDocument Document OpenOffice/StarOffice (Ver 2) of graphics by Sun Microsystems, Inc.    This means that in order to open this file, you will need this program to open it.  You will not be able to open this file with Vista.

    I hope this information helps.

  • How to open the files .fxm and .fxr with fax windows 7 & scan?

How to open the files .fxm and .fxr with fax windows 7 & scan?  These faxes have been received when I had Windows XP.

    Hello

A file with FXR and FXM file extensions is a Document received from WinFax.

You can open the FXR and FXM file by double clicking on it and let your PC decide which default application should open the file.   If no program opens, the FXR and FXM file, then you have probably an installed application that can view and/or edit FXR and FXM files.

You can use a Notepad or another text editor to open these files.  Number of files is files read-only, which means little matter file extension, a text editor may be able to view the contents of the file properly.  This may or may not be the case with FXR and FXM files, but it's worth a try.

How a FXR and FXM files:
There are two ways to try to convert a file to a different file type:

    a. open the FXR file in its default program and choose to save the file open in another file format.

    b. use a softwarefrom online file conversion to convert these files to another file format.

I don't know anything about Macintosh or its files, but if it isn't
a standard .txt file, simply read it in Word, and then do a backup with regard
Save it as a .doc or .docx file.
