How to open .zip files in windows media player? I get the msg file type not supported. MP3 files are in the folder.
Hi I downloaded audio files that you want to create a playlist on windows media player to download to my mp3 player so I can be more mobile to study. When I tried to play on windows media player I get error msg-file type is not supported or the codec is not compatible with the player. They are .zip files. inside are the mp3 files that I need to listen to. can someone help me.
Hello
You need to open ZIP files, which are compressed to make it smaller, then use the content
in the application appropriate - so if the audio or video content can use WMP.
Compress and uncompress files (zip files)
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/compress-and-uncompress-files-ZIP-files
Although Windows has integrated ZIP, you might be more comfortable using a program
with more features (and works with different types of compressed files).
7ZIP - free

Original title: Windows Media Player
When I go to play a movie using windows MediaPlayer all I get is an imagwe again with audio and this message 'network is too busy to read the file to its original quality. Also, all my other media playing programs read the video but are rather "lag". I think the problem is that I already used a program to download torrents called 'BitTorent' and maybe this has used up all my bandwidth or processing speed? Not really sure but would really like it if I could still use WMP and I'm looking for resolution to my problem?
Thank you

I have re-installed sound edge card, updated the driver, checked that it is enabled in the bios. Play other types of sounds.
Wave Systems sounds do not play either and everything by checking the sound scheme system sounds, (Panel > properties of sounds and audio devices > sounds tab) they don't play and the 'play' button is not enabled.
Hi sureshotsd,

Windows Media Player 9 Gets the error message - error Http 500
I HAVE MEDIA PLAYER INSTALLED #9. I HAVE WINDOWS 'XP', SERVICE PACK #3. I CANNOT NOW RAISE ' ARCHIVE. NET'. ALL THAT I GET IS "ERROR MESSAGE ' HTTP500." That's happened?
Never use caps - its considered bad manners, IE. you're shouting.
HTTP 500 is unfortunately for you, a generic error that appears when the program you are using (WMP 9 in your case) cannot think of anything else to report.
Just to complicate things a bit more, it is not a fault on your machine, but comes rather from the server and cannot be corrected on this machine.
However, the upgrading to WMP10 or 11 and see if the same thing happens.
See you soon,.

My habit of open media, Windows Media Player cannot play the file... »
Original title: media open habit
My multimedia files will not open all but a few. When I try to open it it know "Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The player might not support the file type or does not support the codec used to compress the file. "I go to properties it know the file type is"in his (.au) format"I use windows 7 on an HP laptop
The. The AU file was probably created by a Codec that is not installed on your system. You can use VLC player or any what 3rd party software to play the file. If want to read in Windows Media Player, then find out which is the Codec required to play that particular file. REF: How to find which Codecs you need to play any multimedia file

When I copy a CD with Windows Media Player, I get the message pop up after the investigation period is over: "Windows Media Player cannot download the media for this CD information. The other titles, artist, and album will be identified as "Unknown" in your library. For best results, connect to the Internet or manually add media for CD information. »
I know that the message appears when I turn on the setting to allow WMP to connect to the internet to get information about the media, but I don't want WMP does. What I want is a button I can push on the pop-up that says "don't show this message again" (similar to the warnings seen in internet explore). How can I disable this pop-up window without activating the internet connection option.
In case you're wondering, the data from the internet are incompatible in the naming convention so when I rip an audio book, so I can listen to my mp3 player, I can't completely post-processing script because not all of the disks in a set have a coherent on the slopes or even name the disc etc. At least drives marked 'Unknown' is consistent and so easy to script for the reduction to a single MP3 file.

Lately I get the following message if poster every time that someone sends me an email with an attachment. I use to be able to display up to a few weeks before. the message is - Windows Media Player cannot find the file. If you try to read, burn or sync an item that is in your library, the element can point to a file that has been moved, renamed, or deleted.
Does anyone have an idea on how I can display these attachments?
Thanks for your help.
Hi fredleon,
· What is the email client or webmail you are using?
· What is the attachment file extension?
· How do you open the attachment?
· Is it by double-clicking or you choose open with option.
a. save the attachment to the office,
b. right-click on the file and select open with the option to open the attachment according to their file extension.
Example: If the .docx file extension, then it is word document or .pdf, it's Adobe.
You can get the extension of a file by right clicking on the file and go to properties
