How to reboot Windows 8 Pro mode safe?

I have a set of Steelseries MERC keyboard, an Asus Crosshair IV Formula motherboard, and I've been advised to perform a full scan with my Kaspersky PURE, Malwarebytes and Superantispyware in Mode without failure.  I don't know how to restart Windows 8 Pro mode without failure.  I tried pressing the F4, F6 and F8 keys.  I guess I can do a cold reboot, but I prefer to do this properly.  Thank you.

On your login screen, click on the power icon that gives you three options: sleep, stop and restart.
Hold down the SHIFT key and click on restart.

When the computer reboots, you get a blue screen with options.

Click on troubleshooting-> Advanced Options-> settings-> Enable safemode startup

If you want to enable F8 as previous versions, run the following command as an administrator:

bcdedit/set {bootmgr} displaybootmenu Yes

Problem? My Windows XP PRO is not listed in the control panel. (The system came with the new computer).

I want to uninstall, & replace it with Windows 8.1 pro (disk).

Is it done in safe mode? Also how a clean uninstallation is completed?

MS says that an upgrade is not possible (since '23 programs, etc. need attention').

Original title: how to uninstall Windows XP PRO, which is not listed in the control panel?

Of course, it is not in the control panel. This isn't how it works. You must reformat and perform a new installation of Windows 8.

Your computer will not be able to be upgraded. You must consult the computer manufacturer to see if there is even the disks available to this end for Windows 8. Probably not.

And, even if all the drivers were available, you always have to reinstall ALL your programs and data on the medium of origin or files and backup of the date.

You can not, for at least one (and two possible) reasons.

    1. it isn't clean if you want to have two computers, or you
you want to remove from the old computer and put it on the new. If
you want once, you can't do that - the rule is very clear: there
a copy (or a license) for each computer.

There is nothing new here. This is exactly the same rule that has been in
effect on all versions of Windows from at least with Windows 3.1.

    2. but even if you want it on a single and from uninstall
the old computer, you can't do it. It is because if it came with the
computer, it is an OEM version and the biggest drawback to he a
OEM version, is that its license it permanently binds to the first
It is installed on the computer. He can never legally be moved to another
computer, sold or assigned (except with the original computer).

  • How to install windows 7 pro, when I mistakenly installed the 32-bit version instead of the 64-bit version

I just installed windows 7 pro.  Unfortunately, by mistake I installed the 32-bit program on 64-bit program.  now that I try to install the 64-bit, I get the error message: "this installation disc is not compatible with your version of windows.  upgrade I need the disk to correct installation.  so he said to shut down your computer and reboot the installation disc. »

but when I reboot it just goes directly to the office.  would someone kindly give advice on how I overcame this misadventure?  I know that windows 7 pro on my computer, 32-bit version, but want windows 7 pro 64-bit version.  I still have the discs and software keys... Thank you.
Prior to this installation, I was running 32 bit XP pro

You'll need during cratch because there is no way to upgrade a 32 bit OS to a 64-bit version of Windows.

Check your BIOS to make sure that your DVD drive is set as the first boot device, and then save your settings (if a change was required) and get out.

With the 64-bit DVD in the DVD drive, restart the computer.

Choose the "Custom" option and then delete the existing system and Windows partitions, click next to continue the installation,

Since you enabled the OS using the 32-bit product key most likely you need to activate by phone this time.

  • Windows cannot boot mode safe (Active Directory repair)

Hi, I tried to get into the Mode safe on my desktop Windows 8 and I chose the 'Active Directory repair' option in the msconfig window. After the reboot, all I get is a blue screen with no login field and absolutely nothing to do except close down and restart. Is there a way to disable "Active Directory repair" and return to the normal startup mode without having access to the office. I do not have a Windows 8 DVD with me because I've updated online.

Herea picture of the blue white screen.
    Thank you!

Hold down the SHIFT key when you click restart on the power to the menu screen.  It will take you to a place of recovery, that you can use to run system restore and to 'come back' until you have made the change.

  • How to install Windows XP Pro on W2k on the Satellite Pro 6100?

    Hello

    I brought a 2nd hand Satellite Pro, model version SP6100 (PS610E-029ZV-EN), P4 1.7 Ghz, 512 MB, 30 GB, with Windows 2000 Pro installed.

I can't connect to my wireless router. The switch is in the correct position.
I have been informed that there could be a conflict between wireless and Win2000 Pro installation. This is why I want to change my WinXP Pro using the key provided with the new laptop (dual operating system). However, I can't reformat using a WinXP Pro disc at first upward, the disc is ignored and Win2000 Pro. If I use the recovery cd (start with holding C and let go when it runs upward), something starts which I presume to be a sequence installation however seconds I see a reference to a (?) drive z, a brief exhibition of three rows of "invalid drive specification" and it still loads Win2000 Pro.

Can someone advise how (or if!) Can I reformat?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
    See you soon.

Eventually it s a bad boot command but most often it after pressing the C button the laptop should boot from the CD.
You said something done drive and I think that the start of the player has been activated, but the drive is not able to read the media.
For me, this looks like a disk failure.

By the way: check in Manager device if your laptop has installed the wireless network card. In my view, that cannot connect to the router WLan because the map has not been installed. The WLan switch is available because the wireless network card is optional for this laptop. You know?

  • How to reinstall Windows 8 Pro

    Hello

How to reinstall in the same system windows 8 pro with already purchased product key online. I bought one DVD product key. There is a future for guidance only. Because if I'm going to back up the system showing 62 GB size Windows disk. If I backup with 8.5 GB DVD that will work or not. Suppose I'll use 8.5 GB DVD speed appropriate for writing. Please guide me the right way.

    Thank you best regards &,.

    Saifullah.

    How to reinstall Windows 8

    You have two options:

If you want to reinstall Windows 8, which means remove applications and personal files and settings, you can use the reset and refresh. This is equivalent to a clean install.

To do this, follow these steps:

    · Press the Windows key + i on your keyboard to show the charms (if you use a touch screen: touch the right edge of your screen and drag your finger to the left)

    · Click settings

    · Click change PC settings

    · Click general in the left column

    · In virtue remove all and reinstall Windows, click Start

Then follow instructions that will be provided on the screen to reinstall Windows on your PC.

    Option 2:

If you create an installation DVD or a USB bootable, you can use them to reinstall Windows. First, you will need to reinstall license qualification, then begin the upgrade to Windows 8. License of qualification means that you will need to reinstall Windows XP, Vista or Windows 7.

    Option 3:

A workaround for this situation is to create a system image of Windows 8, just after you have upgraded. So if your drive plant, you can simply restore the image on a new hard drive or restore the image on the same drive, if you want to reinstall Windos 8.

See the following for instructions on how to create an image of the installation process of Windows 8:

    http://www.notebooks.com/2009/10/24/how-to-backup-your-installation-of-Windows-7/

(references Windows 7, but the same principles apply to Windows 8).

  • How to downgrade Windows 8 Pro - license keys

In order to exercise my rights to downgrade to Windows 8 Pro for Windows 7 Pro (or business Vista) I need a valid key of Windows 7 Pro. How can I get this key? When I called support license (number of times) I was told that I should use a key of an existing facility, or buy a new one. I explained that by using an existing key (assuming I had a) would have this key reported by Microsoft as invalid, and that buying a whole new license did not exercise my rights under the terms of the license. Time and time again support teams have been unable to provide a solution to this problem.

Looking at the document of conditions of licence, it says:
«Instead of using the Windows Pro 8 software, you can use one of the following versions: Windows 7 Professional or Windows Vista Business.»
    and:
"The manufacturer or installer, nor Microsoft is obliged to provide older versions to you."
My interpretation of this is that Microsoft (and the OEM) will grant the rights for the downgrade, but refuses to give the key needed to do.
How can I get a key to be able to exercise my right of demotion, as stated in the terms of the license?

Hi James, I have been informed by Microsoft that if you get a copy of Windows 7, even if it has been used or granted to another user you can load this copy and use the product key and then call Microsoft explaining you exercise your right of demotion and they will give you an authorization code for the product key that you give them.

What I was not able to do is to correctly load Windows 7, my PC comes up with an error. I wish Microsoft or could someone tell me the exact steps like those that Microsoft have highlighted is incorrect!
