How to recover an email that was lost when the windows live mail program closed?

HI -.

While I was almost finished writing a rather long email and detailed...
The Windows Live Mail program I was using was a pop up message that says: "must close this program NOW.
and I have tried everything to try to SAVE my Email before it closes - to send it to air currents - everything!
But at the end of the e-mail program Windows Live comes to close right up.
I re-started...
hopi9ng to find this email in my DRAFTS - but no!
NOT in any folder, or even in that section below where it says "email" etc etc.
It is not the case I can see.
How can I get that back? -My almost half over email, I was writing when the program closed?
If this almost over email exists somewhere?  A place where I can get it back then?
Thanks for any help on this!
-Jack
Windows XP
I have about 6 e-mail addresses one leading is (if this is important) a @msn.com email address and I was working on when he said than necessary nearby.
Once again... Any help, thank you in advance

Can someone tell me if it is possible to recover an email that was in my spam box.  I got click happy and accidentally deleted one that I had to keep.

If you have WinMail set to leave a copy of messages on the server (Tools |) Accounts | Mail | Properties | Advanced), you can set up a second instance of your e-mail account and download the messages of this instance, so that you can receive the message again.  For the future, you can activate this option and set it to delete after a few days, and then you can get messages again if needed.

Otherwise, your only chance is what Bruce has suggested.  See here for information on the message store in WinMail: www.oehelp.com/backup.aspx#wm

Oh, also check your deleted items folder, deleting a message in the Junk folder is moved to the deleted items folder so check here with view | Current view | Show all selected messages.

Windows Live Mail has its own support at the Windows Live Solution Centerforums. Please address any other question you may have on one of the forums on the right side of this page. You are probably asked to give your version of WLMail and Windows so that the answer may be more accurate.

  • How can I recover a permanently deleted email from the junk e-mail folder in the Windows Live Mail client?

    Hello

I got an email that was in my folder of spam on June 1, 2011.  Rather than consider this email, I clicked on the 'X' box that appeared next to my Junk folder in my Windows Live Mail client.  This permanently deleted email in my spam folder.  I wish I had this email restored in order to see what it was.  Is there a way to do this?  Thank you!

If the message is not found in the deleted items folder, it went.

I received an email that appears to come from the Windows Live team and contains MSN icons.  It is said that it is the final notice about a update of 2011 and asks I answered and confirm several pieces of personal information within 2 weeks or my account will be permanently closed.  He asked that I come home from a series of letters to confirm the validity of the email.  It is said that it is because there is a change in the service.  This is spam and if so, how to report, because there certainly seems genuine, but looks very suspicious.  The sender is * address email is removed from the privacy *.

  • Recovery of emails to a deleted account in Windows Live Mail 2011

    Hello

I recently installed MS Outlook on my PC.  As such, I wanted to avoid future e-mails sent on behalf of Windows Live Mail that I now want to use it just for Hotmail.
In order to test the Outlook installation, I thought I want to remove my account from Windows Live Mail in the understanding that it would simply be the future email delivery.  However, it seems surprisingly have removed all traces of the account and all associated records.  These appear to be no cases on the hard drive at all and even do a system restore did not return.
I can't believe for one moment that Microsoft would be so easy to lose so much important data so easily and would appreciate some advice on how I can restore or access these emails.
    Thank you

The warning appears only for POP3 accounts, but it always appear for these accounts. Other accounts (IMAP, HTTP) keep all messages showing in WLMail on the server, so remove such an account will result in no data loss.

If you are using Windows 7, you can restore a previous version of your storage folder.

  • Problem importing email files from Outlook Express to Windows Live Mail. Not all the imported outlook express folders are visible

I followed your instructions and now have "storage folders" visible. However that a single user account recorded message records showing if you keep double clicking and scrolling down. There are 3 other user accounts whose records are not visible. I tried as well by importing and using Windows Easy Transfer for all alphanumeric codes in Outlook Express. I signed into Live Mail using the other our of the user, but this does not solve the problem... Please tell us how to transfer files from my old computer Windows XP to the new W7 mail.

Transfer of data from Outlook Express and Windows Live Mail:

    For Messages:

Copy the * ENTIRE * OE message store folder to a flash drive. (Folders.dbx must be included). Place it on the desktop or another location on the computer using WLMail.

V-2009: open WLMail and: file | Import | Messages | Microsoft Outlook Express 6, and the point where it was saved.

V-2011: Menu button. Import Messages. Microsoft Outlook Express 6, and the point where it was saved.

    Location of OE message store:

In OE: Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.

In Windows XP, Win2K & Win2K3 the OE user files (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder Options icon | Opinion, or in Windows Explorer. Tools | Folder options | View.

    For addresses:

Open the address book in OE and file | Export | Address book (wab) and save it to the desktop. Copy it to a flash drive. Place it on the desktop or another location on the computer using WLMail.

For WLMail 2009: Open list of Contacts in WLMail, (go |) Contacts in the Menu bar) and the file | Import | Address book (wab) Windows and the point where you saved it.

For WLMail 2011: Switch to the contacts window (click on the book icon to the address at the foot of the folders pane, or press Ctrl-3). Click on the import button, select address book (wab) Windows and point on where it was saved.

Note: If you use a CD or a DVD instead of a flash drive, after placing on the new machine you must remove the read-only attribute in the properties before you import.

    For the account settings:

In OE: Tools | Accounts, select the account and export it to the desktop. This will be an .iaf file. Copy it to the new computer and WLMail desktop: tools | Accounts and import the settings from the location you saved the.
