  You can choose the relevant HARD drive of any manufacturer you want, but if you want to re-create the recovery Partition, you need to do a "Factory Reset" with a set of recovery discs - if you don't have these, you will need to order them from HP.

  However, there may well be a workaroud allowing you to reinstall the operating system without having to buy these discs.

  Can you post back with what follows.

  1. the complete model number and the laptop Nr - see here for a guide to the location of such information.

  2 version full of operating system provided with your laptop (that is, Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit).

  3. can you still read the activation key product of 25 characters on your COA label (don't post back with it, just to confirm if it is still readable) - an example of a COA label can be seen here.

  Unfortunately, we will not be able to recover the data because the drive has been formatted. Done with the help of Bitlocker encryption has further complicated the issue. However, try to contact a team of data recovery known who do it for a minimal amount according to the amount of data to restore.

  You could try an undelete program file as Recuva (http://www.piriform.com/recuva) but more frankly, feels that the files have been deleted and you have used the computer it is less likely that the files can still be recovered.

  You can purge the cache of the following option

  Preferences-> Cache-> purge all the Cache now

  You will not loose original photos to the computer. It will remove created bridge Cache of thumbnails / images.

  You can also set no.. a value of days to automatically purge older option preferences-> Cache cache.

  You probably have Windows 7 Home Premium - Microsoft has removed the ability to backup Windows 7 Home Premium network. You must have Pro/Ultimate to do a network backup or install a 3rd party backup program that can backup network.

  Thank you very much for your suggestions! They finally gave me the direction I go solve the problems I had. Basically, the Mac Book Pro based Lightroom irdata files still had thumbnails. Once I removed the and redirected Lightroom external hard disk, smart previews of the external drive work when the player is well off the MBP. Much obliged.

  I was wondering if you have any suggestions on how to backup all the files content and related data of Lightroom that exists on the external hard drive to another external hard drive as a backup? Ideally, it would be great if I could be able to launch security HD since the Mac Book Pro and do the work of Lightroom with the backup image files and intelligent previews correctly. Thanks again.   When you talk about 'temporarily' as record files in the temporary folder and then by restarting the machine will lose files. You can save the file in any location stored as reader or office and then reopen the case should show all of the content without any loss.

  If the files are deleted or lost there's no way to recover those, sorry if this is the case.
