How to recover my product key for why 2008

It miss a number or letter of the required 25

Hello PatJacksoWP,

Try the following to see if you can retrieve your product key why 2008.

Customers who have lost their key can easily recover follow these steps:

  • a. connect to your local Microsoft Store website in the USA, UK (for countries of the European Union), Australia, France, Germany , or Canada.
  • b. sign in the store with the same ID that you used when purchasing why.
  • (c) to the top of the page, there are a few rows of links. Click on the link 'account '.
  • d. you will see a page titled "Microsoft Store account - purchase history." The date and time of your order of why should be listed. In the right part of this article, under "elements:", you should see Microsoft Research why 2008, as well as a line that says "license:" and shows your product key.

This came from why 2008 FAQ.

How to recover my product key of windows 8, I installed the windows 10 techniques view without taking backup I need to go back to my windows 8 pls someone help

    Hi Carmen,.

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community Forum.

I understand that you had not taken any prior backup upgrade to Windows 10 Technical Preview and need product key to retrieve Windows 8.

So, first of all, I suggest you to check the product key in email messages when you purchased the license to the product for Windows 8. Once you get the product key, you can create a Windows 8 ISO and reinstall using this product key. See the following article:

To create installation media Windows 8.1

However, if you had bought the system pre-installed with Windows 8. Then, you may need to contact the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) system for Windows 8 discs to restore the older operating system.

Hope this information is useful. Let us know the results for further assistance, we will be happy to help you.

Here are four utilities, which can display your product keys if they are still there:
    Belarc Advisor: http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html
(He did a good job of providing a wealth of information.)

    Also: http://www.magicaljellybean.com/keyfinder.shtml
    and: http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/product_cd_key_viewer.html
and RockXP: http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4138.html which has additional features

To find out which product keys are used:

    Summary

If you have multiple Windows licenses and have installed but don't know which one is in use, use the following instructions to double check.

    Details

Apples of: Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 8.1

    User level: beginner to Expert

If you have multiple PCs in your home or business running different versions of Windows and would like to have on the same version, you can check that you do not use a product key that is already in use. For example, if you bought 3 copies of Windows 7 Professional, installed one, active, but later wanted to update another PC but can't remember which key was used, this trick can be very handy.

    Click Start, type: cmd

    Press enter on your keyboard

At the command prompt, type the following command:

    slmgr - dli

    Press enter on your keyboard

A dialogue window will appear on the screen. This will reveal the partial product key which gives an idea of the product key that is in use. Compare with product keys that you have and it will confirm copy of which is in use. When we're done, click OK and close the command prompt window.

For users of Windows 8 and Windows 8.1:

Press the Windows key + X

    Click on command prompt

Alternative means to quickly launch the command prompt quickly on all versions of Windows:

    Press Windows key + R

    Type: CMD

    Press enter on your keyboard

  • laptop HP 250 g2: how to recover the product key

I want to recover my product key to activate my windows

    noure

    Hello;

Let me welcome you on the HP forums!

You must not be activate Windows on your laptop.

If you have deleted the installation of the OS and replaced by one you what whether you downloaded (for example, a file ISO from Microsoft), that won't work because, most likely, this will be a commercial version and your product key is an OEM from HP version.

That said, you should be able to retrieve the key using this utility: download Windows OEM product key 1.0.0.1 tool

    Good luck

  • How to recover the product key after formatting?

    Original title: ask

Hi, I formatted my hard drive of the PC... and I lost my product key. you will need to recover my product key. What can I do? Help me please!

    Hello

If pre-installed, look for the PK on the COA sticker.

The COA sticker is either or in the battery compartment on the underside of the laptop.

With a desktop computer, it's on the side, the back or the top of the computer case.

If you can't find that, order the recovery media from the manufacturer of the computer that must install without your input of a PK.

    Check with the manufacturer...

    See you soon.

Then right - all I really want to know is how can I buy a product key for Windows 7 online. Whenever I'm directed to a list of local dealers, and I live in China, they are false here. So - I have the disc, who want just the key. How can I do?

  • How to find the product key for a game online on Steam?

I'm playing a game that connects to live on steam. He asked my windows product key which I didn't, but I discovered how to get without going through it. I got about 5 + programs for giving me my product key number anyway. But I always get an error message. I checked it more than 10 times. Still does not work. Is it possible for a person to miscrosoft to give me or I can call and they can give me?

    Hello Elias1724,

Steam ask the product key for the game and not your product key for the Windows operating system.

Where did you buy the game to install it?
You bought the game on Steam? If so, then they would need the product key.
Have you received an email with a link to download the game?

It is not your Windows product key.

    Sincerely,

    Marilyn
