How to recover the admin account

original title; account

Some how my administrator account has been deleted and my single user account is only limited accessability.  How admin account back?

Cannot delete the built-in in Windows XP administrator account.
When you get to the login screen, hit Ctrl-Alt-Del twice. In addition, Safe Mode boot.  This will give you a window to enter a user name and password.  For the user name, type administrator.  Then enter the password, or leave it blank if there is no password.  For more information, see:

'Forgotten your Windows XP Home password? "- Part 3: define a new password as an administrator.

  • Created 2 standard user accounts and now the admin account is inaccessible. How to access my administrator account?

I have Vista Edition Home Premium.  I got the account administrator and only called 'everyday', which were both available on the Welcome screen.  I was usually you log in to the admin account for my daily use of the computer, but realized that it was a bad idea.  I created a new account, he made an admin account and called "administration".  I changed then the administrator account, I had used so far for a standard account and named it 'everyday', which makes the account would connect you to our daily use.  Finally, I created a new standard account called 'secondary' for my husband to use.

Now, when I turn on the computer, only accounts that I am able to connect in the Welcome screen are 'everyday' and 'secondary '.  I tried to find articles that would already be answering my question, but good solutions I've seen do not work or are not completely suitable for my situation.  I know the administrator account exists, I don't know how to connect to it.  How can I access my administrator account now?  Things like system restore and cmd / 'run as administrator' failure because I don't have privileges admin so I can't even begin to perform these tasks.

I tried to access it from the login screen by clicking CTRL + ALT + DELETE but his does not work and also tried to start a cmd as administrator of the standard user account, but his is not accessible. Now I can able to access standard user only, now please tell me how to access my admin account to standard user account that I created.

What you were doing was equivalent to throw out your safe master key. Not a good idea. Here's how you can recover from this error:

    1. Set your BIOS so that it uses the DVD drive as its primary boot device.
    2. Start the computer with your Windows 7 repair CD.
    3. Press a key when prompted to boot from the DVD.
    4. Select 'PC Repair' in the menu.
    5. Select 'Repair' when prompted.
    6. When you are prompted, select System Restore.
    7. Configure Windows to a point before you disabled the admin account.
    8. Instead of disable your own and only the account admin, you now need to create, test, and document an alternative admin account, same as you have a spare emergency House key. This will save you a lot of trouble.
  • I can't perform a restore of the system after the removal of the admin account?

Original title: admin deleted, now impossible to restore

I bought my laptop from my work for personal use and remove the admin users. When you try to download anything it gives me an error now, "the requested operation requires an elevation" when I put my user name and password. How can I solve this problem? Can't even do a restore without credentials. When I looked at the accounts, mine is the only one listed. Is there another way I can find out what is the admin account? My work told me a few options for the password, but was not really sure because they put in place so long ago.

Remove the admin account amounted to throw away the key of your safe. A better idea would have been to create and test an alternative admin account. Here's how you can recover from this disaster:

    7. Configure Windows to a point before you deleted the admin account.
    8. Plan ahead a little and create, test and document an alternative admin account, same as you have a spare emergency House key. This will save you a lot of trouble.

  • cannot access the files of another user with the admin account

I'm on a computer with Windows Vista 64-bit home problems.
I normally have the computer configured to connect automatically to a non privileged user and rarely use the admin account.
Recently, I downloaded an update (Finally, more like a relocation to the latest version) and realized that I need the admin account to install properly for all users that UAC would make things a royal PITA with a zillion prompts.

I quickly disconnected and logged in as admin. Then, I realized that the installation file has been stored in the "downloads" folder in my regular account.
Worse still, I could not access this folder, or I couldn't tab of future security. All I could do was to 'change the property' to my admin account, but I really didn't block me on these issues. Even from Explorer using "run as administrator" gave me problems, although the DIR command in cmd.com would be the list of people.

I used the "change user" function to log my account regular and checked the Security tab and saw that the "Administrators" Group had already read and checked 'total control '. Why can't access the admin account? As an admin with XP, I had free access to everything I wanted to leave that I wanted.

What happens if I was a parent and wanted to check to make sure that my child was not software piracy or download illegal music that would get stuck with the fines because I'm his guardian? How would I go about checking his records?

What happens if I was an employer at a small office using working groups and wanted to ensure that the employee was not downloading pornography?

How can I use the powers of the administrator to access other files (regular) user?
Why do I still need to ask this question? It was automatic under NT, 2000, XP and the various servers at least as high as 2003.

I found the problem, it was ANOTHER problem with Norton Security Suite for Comcast.
I uninstalled and did not only to release 100 GIGABYTES of space, my boot time has been cut to a quarter of the former time, and this problem has disappeared.

Somehow, I blocked my user account (login) and I tried to help but can't find any info. How to UNLOCK the user account. Thank you

    Hello

Click the account icon that was locked and enter the password IF you know and otherwise:

Try Safe Mode - several times, press F8 that you start. The Admin account there is no default password
so unless someone has changed, you should have access there. Then Control Panel - accounts - users
Manage another account - use this down your user account (to the lowest level) APPLY/OK
then go back and reset it to the Admin APPLY/OK - this clearly allows corruption. Do this several times.
Then fix the password in your usual account. Do not forget to leave your account administrator if you
    wish.

If no joy Mode without failure:

Try this - use the hidden administrator account to lower your user account (to the lowest level) APPLY/OK
then go back and reset it to the Admin APPLY/OK - this clearly allows corruption. Do this several times.
Then fix the password in your usual account. Do not forget to leave your account administrator if you
    wish.

Make another Admin account with your password and use it to fix the others if necessary. (just for
repair, don't use regular account, not a safety valve) always keep a spare ADMIN account.

  • Parental control on the Admin account problems

A few months ago, I created a new account on my computer for work only.  I set the parental controls on the new account and only the work account.  I got by without my computer for work then off the parental control.  Now, I'm unable to download games without him asking for a password.  I don't know what password I had used since I don't end up need it and none I've tried have worked.  So, how can I, as an administrator, disable this feature?  I have consulted the parental control and done everything I have seen/read that was recommended, but it won't allow me to change the settings on my own admin account without establishing a second admin account.  So, how can I remove this feature from the admin, only the admin?  It does not accept any next to the admin account, and even then it won't take my password.

I work at it for a few weeks now and tried everything I can think of.  Today I spent most of the day trying to get this thing to work.

More details on what is happening-
-I'm going to download a game on the net while connected to my admin account
-Everything works until the final stage when he usually asks for a general permission to my antivirus
-A pop up appears which reads: you do not have the necessary permissions to use all the features of the program you are about to run.  You can run this program as a different user or continue to run the program as long as the current user.
-Click on the current user and it closes, download fault.
-Enter a password for the administrator and it says I have a user name or password invalid.
-Enter my username and password and it closes, download fault.

Can someone please help with this?

    Hello KS. GAL.86,

Is the problem with the account of the work that you had created that has activated the Parental control? You can only configure Parental controls on a standard account and not an administrator account.

If so, then create a new account that has not activated the parental control.

Is the issue that you are experiencing that you can not download programs as an administrator?
What is the exact error you get when you download a program?

It cannot have anything to do with Parental control.

Please answer back with more details and information.

    Thank you

  • Need permission admin using the admin account

I was doing annoyed recently how my computer asked "permission to the administrator. I have an Admin account and a guest account, but I use only the Admin account. However, whenever I do anything it requires permission. This includes the removal of files, save files, moving files, rename files, etc. Even with the files and programs. The feature you are referring is called User Account Control, or UAC for short. It is supposed to make your computer more secure, however, if you despise as many other people do, fortunately for you, there is a simple way to get rid of him.

    1. open start > Control Panel

    2. in the search box at top right, type in uacand select change user account control settings

    3. to turn off UAC, move the slider to never notify position. Save your settings and to provide your final confirmation. You will need to restart your PC for the changes to take effect.

  • How to restore my admin account corrupted? (No available backup.)

    Detailed explanation

A few days ago I started my computer and was taken directly on repair screen windows because my computer was seemingly impossible to start. After you run the tool to repair for a few minutes, Windows told me that there was no solution, then I just restarted the computer. After that he started off very well and I thought that everything was resolved. But yesterday, after that I connected with success, my mouse and keyboard suddenly stopped responding. I used the power button to manually restart my computer. I tried to log in again, but I got the error message "user profile Service failed.

Now, whenever I try to login, I get the message "The user profile Service failed" immediately after entering my password. I've logged the standard guest profile and tried to change the registry, according to the first method found here, administrator privileges are required to change the registry but whenever I type my admin password in the administrator privileges prompt, nothing happens (it accepts the password, but then does nothing). So it appears I can not use my admin password for administrator privileges.

Then I booted safe mode and tried to login to my admin account. It actually allowed me to login using the admin password, but whenever I tried to click anything like 'Create an account', nothing happened. So it appears I can connect to the Safe Mode admin account, but I can't do anything on this account.

I'm downloading 15.2 Hiren's BootCD because that this discussion leads me to believe that he might be able to copy files from my admin profile to a new profile without asking me administrator privileges. Another problem is I got lazy, so I have not backed up the files or programs in months, so I need to create a new admin account and somehow copy all my files and programs without losing them accidentally. I have a terabyte of hard drive that is over half full of games and important documents, so I can't lose the data stored in my damaged account.

    Summary

I can't login to my admin account only because it is damaged. I can access safe mode, but I can't do anything in Mode safe (for example when I click on "Create an account" nothing happens). I can't edit the registry profile comments, or do anything that requires administrator privileges because the admin password doesn't seem to work. None of my programs or files are saved. I need a method by which I can repair my current admin account or create a new admin account and copy it on all my files and programs.

    Information System

    Windows 7 Home Premium
    64 bit
Avast! Free antivirus (it is likely is the free version of avast! a virus slip by and corrupt my account?) I've never had any problem with avast! in the past).

I did turn my PC of house built for almost two years now without any major problems. It is pretty quiet most of the time, but I noticed some hum slightly stronger and clicking while starting from the beginning of these problems. There again, I could just be imagine. I can post the exact hardware specs if anyone thinks that profile corruption could be caused by a hardware problem. When I have time I'll pop the case open and see if I can see obvious internal damage.

Original title: Hi I have a windows 7

You must be at least one account Admin on the PC.  It's just the way that Windows 7 works.

The account that you used to make the new Admin account must also be an administrator full - account only administrators can make new accounts.

Of running Windows 7, it is recommended to use a user account Standard for all daily activities.  In addition to that, make two password protected administrator accounts & write passwords.  Make a password reset disk for each account on the PC.

On the removal of Maxewell girl - the account is deleted [this is possible by an Admin]

    1. go to the daughter of C:\Users\Maxewell's and copy all the files of this user that you want to continue

2 using Control Panel, user accounts, manage another account.

3 you can then remove the entire Panel Contorl system, advanced system, Advanced tab settings user profile, select user account profiles - settings button - then click on the button Delete

    4. go on girl C:\Users\Maxewell's and verify that the files are deleted
