How to remove engine webssearches?

I managed to integrate the webssearches with my Firefox browser search engine. It is very irritating because I usually use Google. I tried different ways, as explained in the tutorials in many sites to no avail. I want to completely remove this annoying engine. It does not appear in my Add / Remove programs also
