  Hello again, I must have been tired yesterday when I posted the message above. This morning I found the solution myself. It seems that the profile has only a tab titled "Se" (in Dutch. I guess that in English, you would say "Additives or something". And there, I found the way Thunderbird must manage different files added. And for the PDF, it says 'download '. I changed it to 'open with Adobe Reader' and everything works well again. My concern now is: why this was changed without notice me? Thnaks anyway if someone started to find an answer to my question.
