How to remove network connections

I created too many different network connections.  How can I remove those I want to use?

You're talking about WiFi networks? If so go to system-> network-> wireless-> Advanced preferences. Click on one of the networks you want to remove and click on the sign less at the bottom of the list.

    Hello

I also suggest you to remove all the network connections on the Network Center and sharing. Once done, restart the computer and create a new network connection and check if that helps.

See the link below to disconnect the network connections.

  • How to remove network list showing under 'This PC'

I see a lot of issues with people who want to turn on network sharing features, but I want the opposite. Until a week or two ago I don't have this problem, but a week or two, my computer began to pick up all of the devices on my network. I'm at a University, so there are a lot of computers to detect. It's frustrating, because 'My PC' page and the sidebar is now desperately crowded and it's a pain to sort the devices on the sidebar to find my pictures or my videos, etc. Not to mention that I would not want to risk someone remote access to my computer.

If there is no way to turn it off, is there a way at least a way to make the hidden network locations? I posted a picture to try to illustrate the problem. Red is oriented to the things I want to get rid of.

    Hello

Thanks for posting your query on the Microsoft Community.

I understand how it could be frustrating when things do not work as expected. I will certainly help you in this matter.

I suggest you to check if you are facing the same question in another user account.

If you create the new user account, nothing will be lost, is that the thing that it would be in the other account that you are currently using. However create new user account is a diagnostic stage, if everything works well in the new user account, we can easily move the files and programs for the new user account.

So, for now please try to create the new user account from Microsoft as an administrator from the link provided below. Make sure that you follow the steps mentioned under create a Microsoft account and get back to us with the State, we will be happy to help you.

    Thank you

  • How to remove DB connection username of tablename prefix? (Error ora-04052)

    Hi all

I managed to establish a heterogeneous connectivity between ORACLE 10 g 2 and Sybase ASE 15.0.2 using generic HSODBC. I defined a database link called using CSSTAT:

    create database CSSTAT link to connect to 'fw' identified by ' * ' using 'CSSTAT ';

Using SQLPLUS, now I can query all the tables in the schema "dbo" using qualified table names such as "csstat.dbo.table_name":

    Select *.
    of 'csstat.dbo.table_name '. CSSTAT;

Now, the problem occurs when I have to run this query from a PL/SQL block. When I try to compile this code, Oracle throws an error "ORA-04052' complain that it cannot find the fw.csstat.dbo.table_name object.

The problem is pl/sql compiler is prefacing the table name qualified with DB link username "fw". Is there a way to tell Oracle not to do?

Funny, it is SQLPLUS this query works well, but only to PL/SQL makes it throw an error. How can I go about fixing this?

If you call from the same foreign user account tables, you can use the HS_FDS_DEFAULT_OWNER parameter to precede the actual owner of the object.

  • How to remove the connection identifier Apple Apps.

My wife's iPhone had previously purchased with the help of a now deleted Apple ID applications. I deleted all original applications under the id now deleted and downloaded under its new Apple ID. However it cannot be updated because the iphone continues to request the password for the deleted code. I tried a factory reset, but that did not work. What else can we do to get rid of this app connection to an old deleted ID?

Uninstall applications, reset the phone, and then connect to the new Apple ID, then again in place.

  • How can I remove a connection from network Local to my computer?

I have a connection to local network on my computer (XP Service Pack 3 operating system).  I had this connection turned off for awhile and I also removed the ICON on the desktop for this connection.  For many months, I noticed in the Log Viewer/system event I had a DCOM error every morning when I started my computer.  Sometimes, the computer may pause for a few seconds, the screen would go black, and the system should restart automatically--normally.  I would check the log Event Viewer/system and the DCOM error was there.  At other times, the system should boot normally until he got to the window where I select user or administrator - at this time there, the mouse would be frozen in its tracks.  A restart (by cutting the power supply to the computer) would all walk normally again.  Another check of the event log and the DCOM error occurred once more here.  I have to admit that the problems I identified here are rare visitors to my computer (no more than once or twice a week), but they are of course annoying.  So, I believe that this connection to the unused LAN is at the root of my problem.  Then I decided to activate the LAN connection, restart my computer and see if the DCOM error occurred when starting - no error has been found.  Has it done for me, I decided that the unused LAN connection must go.  I, however, have not found the magical instructions for how to remove the connection to the local network.  I read an article that told me the Device Manager where it should be delete this connection.  So I made a visit to the Device Manager and found the connection LAN listed there - I'm not sure this is the right thing to do.  I also made a visit to the network connections and clicked on the unwanted local network connection - I found that delete is dimmed.  I just seem to be lost as to how to make this connection to the local network to go.  Can someone give me help in this task?  Any help sent my way would be greatly appreciated.

It is a sequel to my last post.  I decided, after that no response was forthcoming to this message, follow the instructions that I have included in this post more soon to try to remove the connection to the local network unwanted from my computer.  FYI, this set of instructions worked perfectly and I have over this connection to the LAN on my system.  I hope that this information will be useful to others you want to remove a local network of their Windows XP Pro SP3 system connection.

    Hello:

    It depends on.

With Windows 8, you right click on the network, you do not want and select forget this network.

With Windows 7, see this link.

    http://www.technixupdate.com/forget-or-remove-WiFi-network-remembered-connectivity-details-in-Windows-7/

If you want to never see the comments network, disable the network comments option in the configuration menu of your router.

The "Guest" is an option on many routers that allows you to have people connect to internet via wifi from your router, but not have access to your home network.

  • How can I remove the Administrative Tools, network connections, printers & Fax and scanners and cameras my desktop icons?

Recently, I installed a trial version of Tune Up Utilities 2009. During one of the scans/tune-ups, he gave me the option to display the Administrative Tools, network connections, printers & Fax and Scanners & cameras icons on my desktop. I checked ok, however, now, I think it's too crowded in my office and you want to remove them... right on the desktop, not everywhere else they are located. I tried everything I know to remove them without success. Anyone knows where is the menu option to display on the desktop so I can uncheck or choose Delete? I don't want to have to change all the .ini files or .bat to because I'm afraid I don't do it correctly and create other problems.

    Hello tellis1230

I don't know what you have tried, but have a look here

    Right-click Desktop-desktop/properties/Office/Customization

    Uncheck what you don't want

  • How can I manually remove a network adapter wireless, hidden and corrupt "Network connections" in Windows 7?

I need to locate and remove a network hidden in Windows 7 device manually.  The device is called "Wireless network connection" but does not appear in network connections.  The reason why I know that its there is when I try to rename "Wireless Network Connection 2" to "Wireless network connection" I get an error that the connection already exists, even if the device has been uninstalled and is not listed.  I have to remove this connection because it is completely corrupt and preventing any wireless with a red X in the system tray.  The adapter works fine on another machine.  I tried showing hidden devices in device but Manager that has not worked.

Open a command line window and type the following two lines:

    Set devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices = 1
    Start devmgmt.msc

In this special Device Manager window. in the menu, click view and then Show hidden devices

Unwanted devices will appear dimmed. You right-click on them from there and uninstall them.

Then return to your network center and rename your adapters for what you want without the sign #.
