How to remove the external "Password" HDD USB partition?

I recently bought a 2.5 hdd usb2 "Toshiba but when I connect it to my mac it goes up 2 partitions: drive normal HARD and a CD titled"Password. " How can I remove it? I really don't want to use the password feature and the 2 icons are annoying me a lot!
Help, please!

Hello

I guess this is a feature of Toshiba. I saw something similar on the 500 GB 3.5 HDD.
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to remove this software from the external HARD drive.
But I m not 100% sure how it works on the 2.5 HARD disk.
Have you tried to format this HARD drive?

However, check HARD drive manual which comes optionally with this part. There may be additional information

It seems that the machine has a BIOS password. And it seems that there are only 3 options:

1 Google for the procedure how to remove a BIOS password
    2. ask your son for the password
    3. send your machine to an authorized servicepartner and allow them to remove the password, which means that you pay money for it.

  • Tecra M5 - how to remove the Bios password?

    Hey guys,.

My Tecra M5 got a password for BIOS from one day to the other, I never told him to do.

All of my passwords do not work, so how can I reset the password?

    Please help me :)

I never heard that the BIOS password can be activated only then I m wondering really how that can happen in your Tecra M5.

You must understand that the BIOS password is a very important protection and we cannot discuss in the public forum about this.
How to remove the BIOS is not always the same and Tecra, as cell phone business model, is quite complicated procedure of withdrawal of the BIOS and it can be made by Toshiba only service provider.

    I'm sorry.

How can I locate, reset or remove the bios password of Toshiba Satellite C850-B79?

    Hi jai0830

Unfortunately, the unknown BIOS password cannot be removed or deleted without additional assistance from authorized maker Toshiba.
The BIOS password is somehow the level of security that must be passed by an authorized person.
If you n t know this password, you will need to contact the service guy in your country to get removed.

    Hi all

a girlfriend of mine got a Satellite P20 304 with Phoenix Bios.
She wanted that I remove the Bios password that must be entered directly after the Toshiba start screen.
So, I entered Bios with F2, went to security, entered the old password and press enter two times to a new blank password.

The Bios then showed that user password is not defined.
I saved the changes and started to laptop came out, and asked me again a password.
Now no entry (only press enter) or the old password works, still displays "wrong password".

I have a password for the Toshiba Satellite A110-260, but I can't reset the password of the battery

How to reset the bios password

You cannot remove the BIOS password. Something like that is not possible on Toshiba laptops.
A special procedure is required and this can be done ONLY by a (certified partner) ASP.

So my advice is to contact the ASP in your country and ask for help!

  • Tecra A3X - how to remove the BIOS password?

    Hello

I have a Tecra A3x who died before Christmas. I bought a motherboard replacement on eBay. I mounted the motherboard and the powers of the Unit well stop but to a password screen that is black. I tried to find a way to wipe the BIOS and have removed the CMOS battery for about 10 minutes. I read that most laptops have a jumper built in too fix. I've looked in the usual places - memory modules etc. I can t find it anywhere.

Any help would be very welcome.

    Thank you
    John

    Hello John

As you probably know BIOS password is very important security feature and remove the BIOS password can be described on the public forum of the manufacturer s. It is a kind of top secret information.
It is not logical to do this, right?

Each Tecra A3X stolen with BIOS password could be unlocked.
In my opinion, you should contact the person who sells you this motherboard and request password. If he cannot stop, return. At this info in the description of the product on its offer to ebay?

  • Satellite M - How to remove the BIOS password?

    Hello.

I forgot my BIOS password. I tried to do everything to introduce some default passwords like "toshiba" "phoenix" pressing the left SHIFT key while booting to disassemble my laptop and find my BIOS battery to remove it.

The problem is that my battery is stuck on my motherboard and I don't know what to do. I heard that there should be a few riders near the battery that could help me but I cannont find them.

I'm desperate... What can I do?
    Please help me
    Thank you.

Default password doesn't exist and there is no magic default password that can remove existing. Remove the BIOS battery will not help at all. It will not work on laptops, then forget.

BIOS password can be removed in ASP only if the closest contact with ASP and they will help you.
Theory with rider is also not correct because the BIOS removal procedure is not the same for each laptop model.

Sorry, but ASP is your only way to remove the BIOS password.

    Hi Johan

BIOS password is very important security feature. As far as I know on Toshiba laptops, there are several methods for removing BIOS password and it must be done by authorized service provider and if you can prove that this cell phone belongs to you.

On these issues, we cannot discuss in public forum. It's easy to unlock each laptop stolen. Sorry, but I hope you understand how serious this issue is.
