How to remove unwanted software

I have an iMac 2012 end El Capitan running.  My husband tried to install an update for Java or something like that.  Instead, he ended up a version outdated as well as 3 + files that is screwing up the computer.  The first is 'Advanced Mac Cleaner', although I removed everything that I could find this name, it will return on his own in the "library" folder  I erase it, I go through all the folders that have been recommended and remove all associated to this, but it always reappears in the library folder.

One was a sort of cloud of zip and the 3rd, I don't remember.  I had success in removing these 2 (I think).  Today, during a sort by mail, I got up a little pop window saying he advised me to install something.  I accidentally left it before writing what he says.  A little later, I had another window asking if I wanted more space on my computer.  I left Safari hoping that part of the question, but it wasn't. the winnow was always there and I show that no other application only open at the bottom of the screen.  So that this window go, I first need to click on it and press command + Q

How can I get rid of the "advanced cleaner Mac' for good?  How can I get rid of this annoying pop-up window?  How can I make sure that my system is free of junk?  And Yes, don't let her husband not using the computer again.

'Advanced Mac Cleaner' and 'Zipcloud' are often found together. They result from a 'cloud storage' service questionable who may have been offered as part of a fraudulent 'upgrade video player' or perhaps a Java updater all as fraudulent as you have described. Read Watch out for fake Adobe Flash 'installers' for some examples. The solution to your concern follows. Beware that this kind of threats are constantly changing, so if you are still experiencing problems please write for more specific instructions.

You have inadvertently installed adware. You don't need to download or install anything to fix.

Please see the Apple Support document: stop advertising windows pop-up and adware in Safari - Apple Support. 'Advanced Mac cleaner' will require by following the instructions in the document with the following changes or additions:

  • Under the section possibly delete other adware files, add the following to the list of files to remove:

~/Library/LaunchAgents/com.pcv.hlpramc.plist

  • In addition to the above file, you can find one containing the name 'jdibackup' or 'zipcloud '. If you find these names files delete them also.
  • Restart your Mac. Do not omit this step.
  • Then: repeat the instructions with the following two files:

~/Library/AdvancedMacCleaner

/Library/Application Support/amc

Note the difference in path names. One is preceded by the ~ (tilde), the other is not. As long as you use the method go to the folder , you will find files that need deleting.

  • Then:  (Apple menu) open System Preferences > users and groups > login items. If there is an entry in the list named 'Advanced Mac Cleaner' he remove the login items list by using the [-] (button below less).
  • Then: Open the Applications folder by using the menu go to the Finder > Applications. If there is a folder inside called "Advanced Mac Cleaner", drag it to the trash.
  • Finally: to empty the trash and restart your Mac.

For a description of how this can happen, how to avoid it in the future, and to the actions recommended Apple read How to install adware.

You may have installed ad-injecting malicious software ("adware").

Do not use any type of product, "anti-virus" or "anti-malware" on a Mac. It is never necessary for her, and relying on it for protection makes you more vulnerable to attacks, not less.

    Save all data first.

Some of the most common types of adware can be removed by following the instructions from Apple. But before you follow these instructions, you can try an automatic removal.

If you are not already running the latest version of Mac OS X ("El Capitan"), update or upgrade in the App Store you could adware to automatically remove. If you are already using the latest version of El Capitan, you can still download the current update of the Apple Support downloads page and run it. Still, some types of malware will be deleted, not all. There is no such thing as the automatic removal of all possible malware, either by OS X third party software. That's why you can't rely on software to protect you.

If the malware is deleted in your case, you will still need to make changes to the way you use your computer to protect you from new attacks. Ask if you need advice.

If the malware is not automatically deleted, and you cannot remove yourself by following the instructions from Apple, see below.

This simple procedure to detect any type of adware that I know. Disabling is a procedure distinct and better still.

Some legitimate software is funded by advertising and may display advertisements in its own windows or in a web browser while it is running. It's not malware and it may not appear. In addition, some Web sites display advertising intrusive popup that can be confused with adware.

If none of your web browsers work well enough to carry out these instructions, restart the computer in safe mode. Allows to temporarily disable the malware.

    Step 1

Please triple - click on the line below on this page to select it, and then copy the text to the Clipboard by pressing Control-C key combination:

    ~/Library/LaunchAgents

    In the Finder, select

Go ▹ go to the folder...

from the menu bar and paste it into the box that opens by pressing command + v press return. Open a folder named "LaunchAgents", or you will get a notice stating that the file cannot be found. If the file is not found, proceed to the next step.

If the folder opens, press the combination of keys command-2 to select the display of the list, if it is not already selected. Please don't skip this step.

There should be a column in the update Finder window. Click this title two times to sort the content by date with the most recent at the top. If necessary, enlarge the window so that all the content show.

Follow the instructions in this support article under the heading "take a screenshot of a window." An image file with a name starting in 'Screenshot' should be saved to the desktop. Open the capture screen and make sure it is readable. If this isn't the case, capture a small part of the screen indicating that what needs to be shown.

Start a reply to this message. Drag the image file in the editing window downloading. Alternatively, you can include text in the response.

Leave the case open for now.

    Step 2

Do as in step 1 with this line:

    /Library/LaunchAgents

The record which can open up will have the same name but is not the same as in step 1. In this step, the folder does not exist.

    Step 3

    Repeat with this line:

    /Library/LaunchDaemons

This time the file will be called "LaunchDaemons."

    Step 4

Open Safari preferences window and select the tab 'Extensions'. If the extensions are listed, post a screenshot. If there are no extensions, or if you cannot launch Safari, skip this step.

    Step 5

If you use Firefox or Chrome browser, open the list of extensions and do as in step 4.

On oracle staged you can use REGEX_REPLACE to get rid of special characters, for example

    REGEXP_REPLACE (, "[^ [: alnum:]" "]', NULL")

    or

REGEXP_REPLACE (, "[[: cntrl:]] ','") to get rid of nonprinting characters

In ODI 11.x you would put this in the field of the expression of the target model in your interface

The ODI 12, you would use a component of the expression in your mapping

Click the menu and then click on Add ons, which looks like a piece of a puzzle.

Type about:plugins into the Location bar and press Enter to display the About Plugins page.
Each entry in the About Plugins page will have "File:" and "Path:", showing the name and location of the plugin file. Use Windows Explorer to navigate to the folder shown for the plugin you want to remove.

  • How to remove unwanted files from the local root folder of the site?

    Hello

I work with Dreamweaver CS4 on a Windows PC. I have finished my site but I have a lot of files in my local root folder that I don't want to upload to the server. These unwanted files are for most of the photos that I should not be used in my site. I do not understand how to download the site on the server using ftp and remote folder in Dreamweaver. I suppose that if I move the page html files to the remote folder that my photos will not be associated with these html files automatically. I used a Dreamweaver template during the construction of the site. I wish I had a folder with only the necessary files for the site (all html pages and a folder of images) to upload to the server. Is there an easy way to move all my pages and images associated with a folder or remove all unwanted files in the local root folder? As I see it now, I'll have to go through all my pages and write down each title of the photo and then go back and delete each unwanted file. This seems a lot of your time, so I thought that there must be an easier way, I hope.

Any help or ideas will be of course very appreciated, thanks, dluthier

I guess you mean 'work' files, not the images that you use in your Web site.

If they are not related to all pages of your site, you are free to move by using your computer's file management tools. I can give you specific instructions, if you wish, but the short of it is that you do not keep them in the folder root of your site at all.

In my way of working, I have a folder for each client that includes:

    • The correspondence of this client folder
    • Folder to 'Work'... the PNG images, etc., or of the images from the client
    • Record the site root

When I get e-mail, I save the message in the appropriate folder of correspondence, I save the images etc in the folder of 'Work' to the customer and I only save images and other who have already been optimized in the Site folder, keep it as intact as possible.

Even if the general warning must always use the files Panel to move files around, that applies to files which are linked and form part of the structure of your Site. Moving your files 'work' outside of the structure can be carried out safely in windows explore your PC.

That said, if you need to download and there are files you want to download, or to move, you can 'hide' the in the files Panel by right-clicking on the file name and choosing 'Cloaking '.... "in the context menu that appears.

To the point that the image files that are downloaded to the remote site will not 'automatically' be associated with your html files. That is right. Unless you have configured explicitly links or associations between files, images will not associate themselves!

On the subject of 'automatic' way to do this, you can make a link to check on all of your local site. Window > results > Link Checker will bring up the appropriate window, which will give you the choice: broken links, external links and orphan files (this is the one you want). Use the green triangle tower at the left end of the Link Checker to set your auditor... Current Local Document or a set current site.

If you want to make a checklist to ensure that you move them all, you can save the report by clicking on the small icon "Floppy" under the Green turn the triangle. Who will be on a file text and make up a dialog that you save the report, which will show the broken links, external links and orphaned files. After you move the files to your heart's content, rerun the link check and confirm that you moved the files you want to move. Make sure that you DON'T move files consciously... do not move the .htaccess files or .cgi files, etc.

Who will save you from actually having to 'write' file names!
