How to replace keyboard on Satellite A30 keys?

Can anyone give me a detailed procedure to replace a keyboard key. I already had the spare keys, but I do not know how to replace! a link will be very useful!

Keys stuck on keyboards and you can remove them easily.
The main caps set on keyboard and if you want to turn off you must pull carefully on the key caps.

Sorry, but I don t know how to simply explain the procedure.

    Hello

As far as I know you must remove the battery, HARD drive, optical drive, keyboard and displays first Assembly. After that, you must remove 20 screw on the underside (about 15 black screws, two black screws in the mea optics and bays of battery and four silver screws for the video monitor port and the parallel port).

After this, return the unit and remove the five screws black. Before you lift the top cover of the computer s chassis, remove the following cables:
    -FPC TouchPad cable
    LED/button cable FFC
    -Speaker cable

Sorry but I can't give you more information. This time, I did it for a long time.

    Good luck and be careful

  • Replacement keyboard for Satellite Pro P100-465

    Hello

Does anyone know if there is another keyboard that I can get for this model?

The current keyboard keys a pretty spongy and don't respond well except if pressed hard.
Also, buttons which I use a lot, such as the right change key and enter key are below standard and difficult to use.

I want to set up a keyboard layout different if possible. The keypad is not important to me.

    Thank you
    Mike

Replacement of keyboard should not be a problem. I recommend you contact the partner of service authorized in your country. They should have the numbers for keyboards with a different layout. Using this number, you'll be able to order replacement keyboard.

  • How to remove password BIOS (Satellite A30) - Please help

Hello. In the company I work, there is a Toshiba Satellite A30 having a BIOS password.

I was asked to remove the password and, inside the BIOS, I was able to clear the password (at least that is what I thought at first):

BIOS asked the current password and I typed, then requested a new password and I just pressed the ENTER key, and when I was asked to retype the new password I pressed ENTER again.

After that, I saw that BIOS showed "PASSWORD (clear)" and I saved the changes and exit.

To my surprise, I was asked a password even once, I just pressed the ENTER key and it showed an "INCORRECT PASSWORD" message and the same message when I type the old password!

I don't know if there was a password of Toshiba when the computer was purchased, but the manual that I downloaded here does not mention that.

Is there a way to fix this? I do not understand what can happen!

VERY GOOD THANKS in ADVANCE and thanks again for reading.

    Hello

If the correct password is not for you there is no way to remove them. It can be removed only by the authorized service partner. Please contact them and they will do it for you. I guess it can't be expensive.

  • Replacing keyboard on Satellite C850

How is it difficult to replace a keyboard on a C850?

I have to use an external keyboard due to a spill of coffee.
As I'm several hundred kilometres of civilization and need to use my laptop for business, I can't afford to be without it. Any suggestions please. I did it on other laptops, but this one seems different.

    Hello

You are right. Replacing keyboard on this machine is quite different. The keyboard access is on the underside. Optical disc drive must be removed first. Then, you need a plastic stick to push the back of the keyboard of the slot. Push the keyboard until the corner rises on the upper surface of the case.

To be honest, it can be a bit tricky and you may damage the smallholders plastic. You can try it, but you do at your own risk. Be gentle and careful with this.

  • Need help! How to replace keyboard on hp dv 7

Someone has instructions, or a table guide on how to replace the keyboard on a computer laptop hp dv 7?

It is not recommended to try this unless you know what you're doing. If you do not know how to remove the cover of the accessories, optical drive, and the cover of the switch then do not continue:

Before you start: Remove the battery, cover accessories, optical drive and switch cover.

    1. Close Notepad and look backwards with the front to you.
    2. Remove the screw head Phillips P1 that secure the keyboard to the computer of 12 mm. This screw is located in the compartment of the minimap WLAN. The accessory cover must be removed to access this screw.
    3. Increase the laptop right and open the display panel entirely.
    4. Remove the P0 Phillips head screw that secures the keyboard for the top cover of 3 mm.
    5. Remove the three screws to head wide 2 mm P0 Phillips who set the keyboard to the top cover.
    6. Lift the upper part of the keyboard and slide the keyboard toward the back of the laptop.
    7. Using the minimum force, push the locking bar toward the back of the laptop to unlock the ZIF keyboard on the system board connector.

Important! Be careful not to damage the connector cable and Ribbon ZIF.

  • Replacement keyboard on Satellite L350

A clumsy friend spilled a glass of red wine on my L350 weekend which resulted in my keyboard malfunctioned.
No problem, I don't think should be easy to get a replacement and mount it.

However, as I took the original keyboard of the laptop I am concerned that I have damaged the connection and my replacement does not work when it arrives.

Basically, the black part of the connector has broken - does anyone know if this is considered part of the laptop or that it will be shipped with a replacement keyboard?

Any idea where I can get a replacement for the part black, if necessary.

    Any advice would be fantastic.

    Thank you.

    > Basically, the black part of the connector broke - does anyone know if this is considered part of the laptop or that it will be shipped with a replacement keyboard?

I m not very well what part you mean.
Usually, the keyboard is connected to the connector s motherboard with a flat cable.
    Do you mean the cable?

If so, then the cable is part of the keyboard and the new cable should arrive with the new keyboard. But the connector on the motherboard is not removable, and if you damage this part, you will need to replace the mobo ;(

  • How to change keyboard on Satellite P100?

    Hello
Yesterday, I had an accident: spilt Coke all over my satellite p100-115.
Now my keyboard sticks to many buttons. I wanted to clean up. The first button, I've pulled out was RET. But now I can't it again.
Is there anyone who could explain to me how to get out in it the right way?
Or: Is there a way to change the keyboard? If Yes: how much is a new keyboard?

And are there Tips how to clean my keyboard shortcuts? They are also sticky. :/

    Hello

Unique key replacement help much. The entire keyboard needs to be replaced. Like Stefan said please contact partner in your country. You can try to exchange it alone but you will lose the warranty.

I recommend you to make a call and ask how much the replacement will be fresh.
In any case, the keyboard is set with 6 screws and placed undercover KBD, but is not easy to remove this cover. It is fixed with a screw and I don t know exactly where this screw is placed.

  • Replacing keyboard on Satellite M30

    Hello!

I dropped accidentally coffee on my Satellite M30. my keyboard no longer works correctly. I tried to clean it with compressed air, who saved a few touches, but there are still some keys that do not work. I discovered that I can buy a replacement on www.sparepartswarehouse.com part, but I live in the Netherlands, and transportation costs are very expensive.
My question is: can I buy a spare directly from Toshiba?

    Hello

I'm not sure about this. As far as I know, you can buy only the things that you can find on the Toshiba site. The pieces of equipment can be ordered by service partners. Try to make contact with the partner in your country and ask them what may be the best solution for your problem.

Maybe you can also buy some already used keyboard.
Check http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com under Support & downloads. You can find the links service partners.

  • How to replace keyboard Acer Aspire V5 - 473P

    Hello

Several key died on the V5 keyboard - 473P for my daughter.  I searched here and everything I found was many customers complain about keyboards failed no responses, so I ordered a keyboard replacement $20 on ebay.

My question is how to remove the Panel superior/bezel that surrounds the entire keyboard and the touchpad?  It seems that any effort to use a thin lever to lift, he would be damaged...  I have to come home from the bottom by removing the motherboard, etc.?

I am trying to fix it cheaply, because it is hardly more under warranty and after removing the bottom of the case, I think it's come crashing down around many of the screw holes (the bottom of the case seems more expensive than the keyboard).

    Thank you.

Hmmm... Your frame + keyboad is this one. If you look at the metal plate (bottom), it is welded by ultrasonic (grey pines resemble mushrooms) and not screwed.

  • How to replace RAM on Satellite 2450?

I own a Satellite 2450-201 and want to upgrade the Ram. The only problem is to know how to access.

    Anyone know?

    Hello

You won't find the memory locations at the bottom of the unit. As far as I know there are only places to drive HARD, battery and slim select bay.
However, this computer has 2 sticks of memory under the keyboard.

    Please follow these steps:
    1. turn off the power to the computer
    2. remove the power adapter
    3. remove the battery
    4. open the screen and remove the small cover at the top of the keyboard
    5. you will find 3 screws. Remove it
    6. carefully remove the keyboard (please don t forget the flat cable)
    7. raise the insulating sheet covering the module memory to appear the module.

Well, it's not very difficult to upgrde the memory and the entire statement, you will find in the user manual that must be installed on your laptop. Chapter 8

  • Replacement keyboard for satellite 1400

Hi, when I start my laptop after a very short time, I have a popup (the menu associated with the left button of the mouse (I think) randomly appearing even when I am not touching the keyboard or the mouse. In word, when I type the z or / keys it always appears! I tried the external mouse and an external keyboard, with no difference. I think it's a keyboard error, comments? I think that the reason why the external keyboard makes no difference is that the internal keyboard is still connected i.e. sound always short-circuit. I am just out of warranty (rats!) Is it easy to replace the keyboard, I'm a little short on cash. Constantly clear the popup having my head.

If I understand you right, your warranty is over. Then you can open your laptop without the risk of losing it.

Open the notebook and disconnect the keyboard. If this does not a difference for the external keyboard, it must be a software problem.

In any case, I recommend to reinstall the latest driver from the download page of Toshiba driver for the keyboard.
