How to restore my Satellite 2450 return to factory settings?

Hello

I hope someone can help me with this problem? At first look and some of the related son is reading seems easy but...

I can't access the menu of BIOS at startup upward or via the control panel. Apparently, I should have a supervisor password, which I don't know and have never been! I even tried the menu with safe mode, using the administrator, sign in, even when nothing is.

To make things worse, I contacted an ASP who said that there was nothing they could do.

Help, please!

Thank you

You have the original recovery CD for this laptop model?

Hmm. I m wondering if you checked a few discussions here on the same theme.
    Did you?
There are more that enough son and I m sure you will not need to create this thread after reading some reviews.

Just a tip; the use of HARD drive recovery option will format the system partition, but the D partition (where the HARD drive recovery files are placed) wouldn't be formatted!

How do I restore my windows 7 to its factory settings? as a new installation!

If you have bought and installed Windows 7 yourself, see the following resources:

If it is preinstalled on your computer.

New computers coming often pre-installed with Windows 7 have what is called a recovery partition. This is used to reinstall an operating system in the case of a system failure. See the manual that came with your PC for instructions on how to reinstall Windows.

This is how the recovery partition is available for the most popular brands

For Dell, press CTRL + F11 directly after switching on the device

For HP, press F11 directly after switching on the device

For Toshiba, press and hold "0" BEFORE and during the power upward

    No one will judge you.

Your PC must have a hidden partition which contains an image of the Windows operating system.

Take a look at this link (especially step 3 "restore the software from the computer to the original state")

  • restored my Dell computer to its factory settings, but my backup files will not restore

original title: restoration of PC for windows XP

Used "files and Settings Transfer wizzard" to restore my Dell computer to its factory settings.

I saved my files to an external hard drive.

Restoring to factory settings worked fine however not recover my files backed up.

A message is displayed (the location you specified contains no stored information)

I can see the USMT2 file. UNC on my external hard drive and it's big enough.

Need help to restore my files.

    Hi GeorgeGould,

If it helps, try the step below and check out them.

    (a) access to the following location: C:\WINDOWS\system32 and copy the USMT folder (and all what it) to the location you saved the USMT2. The UNC file.

    (b) now when you run the files and the Transfer Wizard from the settings of the computer that you want to transfer the data, navigate to the location of USMT folder you saved above and click on ""migwiz " and that should start normal files and the wizard to transfer settings from this location."

Note: Be sure to point to the location to the root, for example, if you save your data at X:\nelson\USMT2. UNC, then point the location to X:\NOT to X:\nelson\USMT2. UNC. The wizard should find the data automatically.

You should now be able to successfully complete the transfer process.

    Additional reference on:

Files and settings are not transferred when you use the files and the Settings Transfer Wizard

  • How to restore Satellite L505D-S5965 to factory settings

    Hello Toshiba community

I have a model of Satellite L505D-S5965 and apparently, more the sumer, I don't have an anti-virus. All members of my family had used this computer and now it seems to me that he is infected with a large number of viruses. For example, now that I have renewed my McAfee subscription, my computer does not have McAfee. I double click on it and I just get the pop-up window of McAfee and it appears only in white. Also, when I try to run programs of browser such as Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox, two of them don't open even.

I wanted to ask you is, how can I restore my Satellite L505D-S5965 to its factory settings? I know you might need a recovery disk, but y at - it another way?

You can try to do this by using the HDD recovery procedure > http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD9102IR0000R01.htm

  • How to restore my Satellite Pro A300?

I had to replace the hard drive on my laptop Satellite Pro A300. Before that, I did a complete backup of computer with Windows complete PC Backup. Now I want to restore all of the backup computer, but I have this problem:
When the computer restarts I press F8 and select Repair my computer, and in the System Recovery Options, I click on the Windows complete PC Restore. Then, the window for the selection of available backups. When I click on the next button, I get the following message:
«To restore your computer, Windows needs to format the drive running Windows recovery environment on.» Start your computer from a Windows or a recovery disc install disc to try again".

I don't have a Windows installation disc. When I start my computer from the key to the rescue disk, and then press F8 in boot option advanced, I don't see you option to fix my computer.

How to restore my computer anyone know?

I don't know what is really happening in your computer, but it is a little difficult to restore without Windows installation disc. On another computer, you can download and install Acronis true image and activate it. Acronis, there is an option, the backup copy of Windows convert to Acronis backup. Convert you. Then, create a rescue bootable Acronis Disk support. Converted Acronis backup, you can place them on dvd disc discs or burn flash usb. Insert, Acronos boot media, navigate to the backup and restore. \

It's a bit difficult to explain everything, but in your case, it is best to get copy of windows and do a clean install

  • How to restore the Satellite A135-S4727?

I'll give the Satellite A135 to my sister.
How to restore all the default values with spoil them my warranty or something like that.
    help please

    It's easy:

If you have recovery media, it just put in your DVD/CD player, press F12 when the toshiba logo appears, and then choose the CD drive to boot from.

After that, a Recovery Wizard will guide you trough the rest of the reocvery process. After that, the HARD drive would be like "factory-installed" which means it would be you bought the machine and the OS is like the first day so use.

    Welcome them

  • How to restore a Satellite A300 PSAGOE?

Sorry if this is in the wrong place or has responded, but one of my friends want me to restore its Satellite A300, the only info that she can give me is that it works on Vista and it's a 03uo1yen of psagoe.

She has no records for this laptop. She bought a buffer memory so that I can make a backup of your laptop before you start anything on this subject.
My question is, will she lose Vista and/or all pilots with a system restore? I was hoping to give it "out of the box", but that is not possible.

I thank before any information, you can provide or advice you may have.
    Carla

Hello Carla, and welcome to the forum of Toshiba

At first, I must say that, out of the box, State can be done with the original recovery disk and if you don t have what may be a problem.
If this phone works with Vista preinstalled original there may be able to do this, use the disk HARD recovery option.

It works as described in this Toshiba document - http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD9102IR0000R01.htm
    Please check this option.

In the end, I must say that I was not able to identify this model of laptop and therefore give you more information please be so kind and post here exactly the model number (PAxxx-xxxxx) and the name of the model (A300-xxx).
The two numbers that you will find at the bottom of the thumbnail of Toshiba.

If you have any other questions let us know.
