  Click Start, and then type "mouse" in the field "search programs and files" empty, click, in the opened window, select UltraNav, and then check 'Enable Trackpoint', then on 'apply '.

  If it has been disabled in the BIOS, then immediately press F1 when your thinkpad comes on, go to Config-> keyboard / mouse-> Trackpoint-> change disabled automatically.
