How to save 8 bit PNG?

I found this useful bit of code that uses .NET to capture a screenshot using the coordinates of a mouse click. However, I need to save the PNG 8-bit instead of 32 bit PNG files it currently registers. Does anyone know how to do?

Thank you!

First thought is that you can use the Pixmap flattened draw, and then the picture to Pixmap that has an entry for the depth which could be set at 8, then save the PNG.  NIC eVI incidentally.

I work with CC, I chose the background white, applied a mask and now show the background transparency. But it wont let me save as a png image. What's up with that?

Check the mode of your image and depth of bit - PNG is supported only in levels of grayscale and RGB, indexed in 8 and 16-bit/channel color.

  • How to open 32-bit PNG alpha unpremultiplied?

I have the last Photoshop CC (2014) and I tried to figure out how to import a PNG file of 32-bit with alpha channel embedded, but unpremultiplied in it.  So this is a PNG image with four channels: red, green, blue and Alpha.  Unfortunately, when I open it in PS, I get a picture of three channels (R, G, B) where PS has premultiplied cheerfully alpha in other channels, as you can see here:

    rad3_rgb_021.png

The "glow" is adverse to the Alpha channel.

I know that the Alpha channel is still there because if choose channel-> Split, I get four grayscale images: myimage_red, myimage_green, myimage_blue and myimage_transparency.    So the Alpha information is kept separate, but PS is 'useful' and he premultiplying outdoors.

Y at - it a setting or anything else that can solve this problem?

Note: The reason is that I use the 'alpha' for something else (ambient occlusion) channel in a CG program and it must not be used for transparency at this stage.   (Long story).

Yes, you are badly abusing the word "premultiplied".

There is no premultiplication past here - just says that you have something in the transparency channel which is not transparent and therefore doesn't seem correct when applied as transparent as a PNG, it must be.

Read my previous post about how to extract the transparency channel.

In addition, you must talk to your authors to program CG PNG export to actually conform to the PNG specification.

  • How to save 32 bits off server automation of processes on Windows 7 64-bit

    Hello

I have a server simple automation which registers and works without problems on 32-bit windows platforms, but each run on a 64-bit Windows 7 computer, fails to register.
Running process monitor confirms the DENIED ACCESS during the function RegCreateKey for the GUID (library of types created ok, problem happens when trying to create keys for the interface).
I suspect that the problem is trying to register a 32-bit server on a 64-bit computer. I found articles that deal with 32-bit loading in process servers by using the utilities found in the Windows\SysWOW64 as RegSvr32 folder. I tried anyway, but fails because the server is exe instead of dll or ocx.
I tried manually to create the keys. I can create keys in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT TypeLib, but Windows keeps create me keys in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Wow6432Node, HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT Interface (or indeed HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\) even though I have all permissions.
I would be grateful to anyone who can help me solve this problem.
Please accept my thanks in advance,
    CAnder1

  • How to save a file as a .png 8bits in Illustrator?

Hello to all the masters to HAVE it... I have a task here to save a file as a .png 8bits file in Illustrator? Anyone, can someone help me on this?

.. How can .but I convert a png 8-bit file?

What bit depth are you converting... and how did you create the PNG in the first place?

Conversion between raster image formats would be normally better handled in programs like Photoshop.

  • How could import a 16-bit png image in a table on LabVIEW?

    Hello:

It seems that LabVIEW support only 1, 4, 8 and 24-bit image, I want to import a 16-bit png image in a table (the value is between 0 and 65535), how can I?

    Thank you very much!

    Hi Wanghh

Look at this example of table Image located by launching the example Finder, OR by selecting 'Toolkits' and Modules > 'Vision' > 'Functions' and the opening of the Example.vi "ImageToArray".

If you look at the schema for this example, the Subvi "IMAQ Create" has the option to configure for 16-bit images.

  • How to save a PNG with an alpha right or fat?

Long story short, work in broadcasting and a new piece of equipment like the png files.  I know how to save png with transparency, is not the problem.  I don't know how or if this is possible is to save with an alpha right or fat.  At the moment we feather or extend the edges to past the alpha to say a logo and save it as tif, psd, or .tga.  This way once it is indexed on video or something else, the edges look good, no bad black border... it is logical, explaining probably not very well.   But move to png files, I have no idea how to do an alpha right or fat because he sees the transparency.  I mean that if I have feathers on the edges, a png will see this right, since there is no alpha?

    I hope this makes sense?

    > If we don't fill the transparent areas and semi-transparent image with the colored part of the image, we have usually get a dirty key/matte or a lot of fringes.

This means that your other software and hardware is not reading/interpretation of the PNG file correctly.

PNG saves with everything that is in the pixels in the transparent area - because they are supposed to be transparent and not seen.

If you see artifacts in the transparent areas, then something is wrong with the software displaying the PNG, because 100% transparent should not be visible at all.

Almost, it looks like someone could not read the documentation and specifications and try to treat the PNG as premultiplied format.

  • Re: How to save the video file to a DVD-R for Equium A200

I have the Equium A200. Someone can tell me how to save the video file to a DVD-R on my computer in order to use it later, or use it in windows movie maker and must not simply copy on another DVD-R right?

My cursor also has disappered in the suite of windows media, that makes life quite difficult.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you.

You mean, you want to copy the original DVD movie to HARD drive?
Well, you can copy the contents of the entire DVD to the HARD drive. It means that you have to copy a lot of data.
I would recommend shrinking the DVD movies using a tool called DVD shrink.
It would decrease the data and would also copy the content to the HARD drive.

But if you want to use these files later in windows movie maker, so you must convert these using a 3rd party tool.
Google a bit and you should find many free applications that would help you to do this work.

    Good bye

How to save an image (logo) transparent so that it appears transparent on any background color such as a gradient or black?

I save the image under 'transparent' file > new... but when I place it on a background gradient it keeps appearing in white. I'm saving transparent to be effective on any color, such as a gradient or black.  How I really save as transparent?

As suggested by JJMack, make it transparent (or partially)...

Save it as a file in PNG format for a composite web browser with partial transparency.

  • How to save picture as a Jpeg?

I can't work out how to save my image so I can print it!

There are two ways. File > save as or file > save for Web.

Or the other option will save in jpeg format. In the Save as dialog box look down to a box of file type. Click top and you can choose from a variety of file formats including jpg. If you see a bunch of formats, but jpg is not listed, then chances are your in the wrong mode. Jpg is compatible with 8 bits per channel. GoTo Image > Mode, then choose 8bits/channel.

As for save for web - in the upper right of this dialog box you can choose a preset or select the drop-down list for the file format.

I don't know how to save an attachment to an e-mail to Icloud drive but how do I save the body of an email to ICloud?

Save it to the place where? For what purpose? As long as you do not remove it, it should remain in your email. You can move it to a folder by tapping on the icon of the folder at the bottom of the screen as you watch the email. You may also copy and paste Notes, take only a screenshot that would be in your Photos. You could transfer to a remark like Evernote service.

  • How do save about.config after change of smart bookmarks

    https://support.Mozilla.org/en-us/KB/restore-default-Smart-Bookmarks-folders

This should do what is necessary, BUT the change is not saved when I go out. How to save the changes?

Once Firefox treats the request, the preference will be changed again. The files reappear when you expect? If this isn't the case, it is possible that they moved in a subfolder. Unfortunately, it is difficult to find because the search box in the Library dialog box does not have Smart Bookmarks folders.

But you can search for them in a backup of the HTML format. Here's how:

    (1) export bookmarks to a file in HTML format that you save to a convenient location, such as your desktop. See: Firefox bookmarks export to a HTML file for backup or transfer bookmarks

    (2) open the HTML in Firefox and you can use find (Ctrl + f) to search for the missing smart bookmarks folder. Then, you can open this location in the library and bring it back where it belongs.

    A little luck?
