How to save Microsoft Office on Satellite A300D?

I bought my laptop Toshiba A300D last April. Vista Premium was already installed. When the pop-up Microsoft wonder to record the installation of Office, or lose after 19 more uses, I try and enter the Vista 25 digits which is printed on the sticker on the back of my computer laptop Vista Premium, and I get the message 'wrong number '.

I have never had a CD Rom for the Office to take off in this case.

What should I do, please?

Jimbo_1

Hello!

The 25-digit number that is printed on Vista Premium label at the back of your laptop is the wrong number. This number (license) is for Windows Vista, not for Microsoft Office.

I think that there is a trial version pre-installed on your laptop and if you want the desktop, you will have to pay for it. Toshiba only provides a trial version (90 days I think).

Good bye

  • I just bought a new HP Envy DV6 and can work out how to open microsoft office.

I just bought a new HP Envy DV6 and can work out how to open microsoft office.  When I try he asks me a product key of microsoft Office was preinstalled, so I don't have a product key!  Any suggestions?

What version of Microsoft Office is this?

If its Office 2010, you can buy a copy from amazon.com/software because Microsoft is no longer at the price of Office 2010.

If his Office 365/Office 2013, you can sign up for a trial key to:

  • How to uninstall Microsoft Office trial on Satellite A200?

I have a Satellite A200. It came with Vista Premium, but I've since upgraded to Ultimate. It came with a 60 day trial of Office 2007, which I'm not interested. I installed Office XP (that works). However the emails etc. documents will be opening in Word 2007. Installation because this causes an error, even if it still seems to work when you get rid of the error message.

What I really want to do, is to uninstall the trial. However he won't let me - it goes through 'Preparation to uninstall' and then disappears and nothing has changed and the program is still there. In the Microsoft Office folder, 2 versions seem to have become intertwined. I uninstalled Office XP and tried to uninstall 2007 after that, but still no joy.

Don't know if it has something to do with the fact that the installation did not complete successfully.
Any ideas anyone on how to get rid of it?

    Val

Usually, you should be able to remove applications in Windows Vista-> software settings.

What you could do is to remove the whole Office 2007. The Office usually remains files here:
    C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office

Then you can use a 3rd party freeware application called CCleaner to clean the registry!

    Welcome to the HP Forum.

The easiest option if you have friends nearby (those living with tech), is to borrow a DVD USB drive and plug it into the laptop for a few minutes so that you can download your software.

You can buy this kind of tech pretty cheap, too.

If you have your key, it should be in the CD box, you can probably download Microsoft Office - according to the version - and just use the key you already activate it.

    Thank you

You buy a genuine Windows 7 license. The copy of Windows 7 Ultimate, you have installed is an OEM SLP license that should only be preloaded with a new PC. You seem to have installed a copy of Windows 7 Ultimate that uses an activation exploit that bypasses the product activation.

We know that it is because the BIOS date:

    20090115000000.000000 + 000

Windows 7 was released in October 2009, the date of your BIOS says January 2009, which probably means your system is provided with Windows Vista or Windows XP.

In addition, he is a well known Windows 7 Ultimate license which has been used all over the web:

    Windows product key: *-* - Q6MMK - KYK6X-VKM6G

Do a search on the web.

Thus, you must either charge your version of Windows that came on your computer (Vista or XP) or consider purchasing a license of Windows 7 genuine.
