How to select the output device HDMI as audio playback for Windows Media Center device

Output audio media center units

Hello

I'm trying to set up my media center from windows to windows media center of output through a separate audio device audio device by default.

In this case, I have hdmi output that I want to be the output for windows media center and my realtek analog to be the default for all the rest.

So my overall question is how I make windows media center requires is not the default audio device.

Thank you

Andrew

Method 1 is useless. Does that change the audio device by default in the system, what the user seeks specifically not to do.

Method 2 has no effect at all on Media Center.
The answer seems to be no, Media Center only works with the audio output device by default.

    Hello

Thanks for posting the question in the Microsoft Community forums.

According to the description, you need to know more about the Tv tuner and tuner Radio (FM) for Windows Media Center.

To listen to the FM radio in Media Center, you will need a tuner FM connected to or installed on your computer and an antenna connected to the tuner to receive a signal. FM tuners are very similar to TV tuners in fact, many TV tuner cards have a built in FM tuner.

  • How to adjust the date of transition of the slides in a slide show created in Windows Media Center

I tried to set the time of transition from slides in a slide show using Windows Media Center. I went to the period of Transition, tasks, settings, photos and the value 3 (seconds, I presume). Saved settings. Burned DVD. Slides are still in transition to about one every seven seconds, same as before. Put forward that I changed it to 12, by the way. Even then, the time of transition seems to be about one every seven seconds. I'm doing something wrong? I want the transition period between the slides only 3 seconds. Where it's important, my slide show also has music. I use Windows Vista.

    Hi PikaBrian,

Welcome to the Microsoft Answers site!

To disable automatic disk checking at the start of Windows through registry, go to the following registry key:

Important: This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, click on the number below to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager

In the right pane, double click BootExecute.

The default value of the key is autocheck autochk *

    * means that each drive is checked for consistency. Just add /K:C to the end before *. /K switch will disable autocheck on C: drive at Windows startup. If the final value should look like this:

    / k: C to autocheck autochk *.

If you want to add more drives, the key should look like this: (by disabling the drives C and D)

    / k: D / k: C autocheck autochk *.

If you want to restore all default, just replace the key with the default i.e.

    autocheck autochk *.
