FAX not available in Vista Home Basic or Home Premium. It is available in complete edition,
Extreme and business. Microsoft doesn't have a download of the feature to add to the Home Premium version.
You might want to consider Snappy Fax at a low cost:

or the free version of BVRP:

or a full BVRP Classic Phone Tools 9: $29.90

I hope this helps.

Using Vista Home Premium 64 x. In Windows Explorer how to group by name to display with the simple letters like A, B, C, D, etc. instead of A - H, P, Q - Z? In XP, it could be sorted by simple letter, which makes it easier in a folder with many files. Thanks in advance.

Re-installing Dell inspiron 19 has windows 7
People,
I have a Dell Inspiron 19. The Dell of Dell diagnostics disk utilities & drivers say all right. It is a Seagate 320 GB drive. I installed the drive on another computer and used sea tools to erase the disc. Then I created a partition and marked as "bootable".
When I try to use the Dell reinstallation DVD Windows 7 Home premium SP1 64-bit, it crashes when is about to display the windows logo. A few pixels logo show and then it's there. Any ideas? I worked on it for several days. Really a "stumper" for me and I did something like that for years!
Original problem seems to be a massive viral infection (owner had no active antivirus software installation!) which led to the non-bootable computer. After working on this for a while, I decided to just do again it.

How to make a backup of operating system vista Home premium on hp pavilion entertainment pc
I need or want to make DVDs to backup my operating system on an H - P with windows vista home premium on a Pavilion P P C h. Entertainment is the latest version with the built in webcam.
Hello
I'm sorry, but you can make a backup of the computer with Vista Home Premium using the Vista operating system.
Only Windows Vista professional, comprehensive and company have a more advanced backup and restore utility called Windows complete PC Backup and Restore.
For this you will need to program 3rd group.
It is a program that must be bought:
http://www.Acronis.com/homecomputing/products/TrueImage/
There are other free programs to do this, but I them haven't used lately to recommend.
If you wish to only have a way of reinstalling Vista again, HP has a recovery partiton of the recovery disks from.
It's the HP of the information on how to do it:

I have a multimedia keyboard 1.1 microsoft wireless on my desktop using Vista Home premium, and the keys are all coming up badly, when I type 'k' for example I get 'a' or if I type 'p' I get 'v' and give me space '9' someone can tell me how to solve this problem?
Hi Winchesterdream,
Welcome to the Microsoft answers community site.
I suggest you try the following steps
Step 1: Connect the keyboard to a different computer. If the keyboard works correctly on another computer, the port to which the keyboard was connected on the original computer may be damaged. If this is the case, contact your computer manufacturer to find out how to repair or replace the damaged port.
Step 2: Download and install the latest keyboard software
To download the latest drivers for the keyboard that you use, see the following Microsoft hardware Web site:
http://www.Microsoft.com/hardware/download/download.aspx?category=MK
Step 3: Press the SHIFT key to turn five times keys Stick On or Off and check if the problem persists.
Let me know if it works. Good luck!
Hope it will be useful.
Thank you and best regards,
KKS Vijay

Can I download Vista Home Premium somewhere and use the product key I have now?
Original title: ACER GRRRRR! Can I download Vista Home Premium somewhere and use the product key I have now?
I need to reformat my laptop Acer Aspire 5520, but Acer WON'T provide me with the disks required to do... so my question is this; How can I reformat without having to buy a new drive for Windows Vista? I went to the site of the Acers and downloaded all the drivers, applications, and the bios, but I can't find anywhere on Windows. Can anyone help?
Thank you in advance for your help!Hello
It s no vista for free and legally download
with an acer you never drives with him press Alt + F10 when you see the Acer start at startup screen
who should begin the process of recovery back to factory settings
Acer has do provide you with a way to reinstall vista, either way or a recovery (Alt + F10) on your disk partition hard or using recovery discs
and read this:
or borrow a vista microsoft dvd; not a HP, Acer recovery disk etc
Make sure that you borrow the correct 32-bit or 64-bit microsoft dvd to your computer
they contain all versions of vista
This is the product key that determines which version of vista is installed

I use Vista Home Premium on a laptop Dell 1545 Inspiron and Dell 968AIO wireless printer. I can't print the attachments of email but I can print several pages on the internet. I updated drivers and tried everything that other people have told me to try on other forums to the best of my abilities. I'm not otherwise qualified in computer science. Also, I will mention this all started when I restored my computer laptop back to factory settings. I did it because that's all I could think about. As far as coming back on my laptop, he did do the trick. Thus, suggestions, thoughts will be appreciated.

My Hp Pavilion Elite M9340F desktop PC was the best computer I've ever owned five computers desktop and portable three. Not only use the personal media drive Bay and two bays of lightscribe disc, I upgraded the video card and the power supply because I run also three external hard drives more (which actually a total of six hard drives run continuously). I want to spend all or just possibly the main hard drive and Windows 7 Home Premium personal multimedia hard disk. Is it better to buy the disc or download the software? In addition, how is it difficult to make the switch? Even with good backups, I have heard horror stories of losing part or all of the files or have things so scrambled that it is almost impossible to find what you are looking for. ANY help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Mr. w. Dillon * address email is removed from the privacy *.
Hello
It's always a good idea to have a paper copy of a disc (for resettlement and repairs).
And Yes, backup all your data as 'can' happen during an upgrade that is supposed to be easy.
This is a very good guide for what you want to do:
Make sure you go from Vista 32 bit to Windows 7 32 bit to be able to do an upgrade.
«How To Upgrade from Vista to Windows 7 Edition Home Premium»
http://www.howtogeek.com/HOWTO/6892/how-to-perform-an-upgrade-from-Vista-to-Windows-7/
And follow these steps first:
Go to the HP website and see if Windows 7 drivers are available for your make and model computer / laptop.
http://WWW8.HP.com/us/en/support-drivers.html
If this is not available, Windows 7 will not properly work for you.
Run the "Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor.
http://www.Microsoft.com/en-US/Download/details.aspx?ID=20
Check if your specifications are compatible for Windows 7:
"Windows 7 system requirements"
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/products/system-requirements
"Windows 7 Compatibility Center" for software and hardware:
http://www.Microsoft.com/Windows/compatibility/Windows-7/en-us/default.aspx
Windows 7 upgrade paths:
http://TechNet.Microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd772579 (v = ws.10) .aspx
And the Microsoft Store where you can get an idea of the price of Windows 7:

For other questions about installing Windows 7, there is a Forum specifically for that because it is the Forum of Installation of Vista, you're in.

Hello
Having some difficulty understanding what it is I should do before installing a new upgrade of windows 7. I have the disk to upgrade, but discovered only today I now have to perform a customized installation because I'm upgrading from vista home premium to windows 7 Professional. So, this means that all program etc. files must also be backed up as well as the usual save multimedia files, photos, etc..
HOW HOW HOW do I save my program files for example office microsoft, mcafee internet sicurity? Is it as simple as the copy on a CD/DVD-R?
IM so confused, please help!
You cannot save programs and then copy them to another system.
You must reinstall them from the original media. Make sure you have all the license keys you need to reinstall before you start.

How can I install windows scanning on my vista home premium?
I need the windows of sweeping capacity with my Vista home premium. HP Director is not compatible with Vista, so I can't scan documents.
Take a look at this support for the HP article form:
http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/document?LC=en&DLC=et&CC=EE&DocName=c01471226
Excerpt:
HP has the HP Solution Center to replace the HP Director in 2004. While HP continues to support HP Director on the products used in operating systems Windows XP and Windows 2000, the Director of HP is not compatible with Windows Vista.
If you recently upgraded to Windows Vista, you will not be able to use HP Director. However, you may be able to upgrade to the HP Solution Center in its place. Follow these steps to download and install the complete software solution, which includes the HP Solution Center.
He also has a solution to "bypass". Scroll down and read it.
I hope the above can help your problem.

Re use Vista Home Premium Upgrade disc
Hello
I bought and Vista Home Premium Upgrade disc and upgraded to Windows XP. Unfortunately my PC has not enough graphics to run Aero and DVD Maker (915 chipset), and I had tried unsuccessfully to introduce a new videocard (power problem). So I gave up with this PC and will probably go back to XP or get a copy of Vista Home Basic which will be OK on this PC.
I did the clean installation thing with the upgrade disk if my old XP system is not affected and can be restored without problem.
My question is:
If I buy a latest PC who has the necessary graphics to run the Home Premium edition, can I re reuse the upgrade disc, or the activation process will fail because of "improved" after having already.
Thanks for your help
Evereti
Hi Evereti,
You can try installing upgrade of Windows Vista on another PC as if you removed completely from Windows Vista to Windows XP PC. You will not be able to use the same copy on two different computers at the same time. It will affect the Product Activation.

Mount a floppy using Vista Home Premium via a usb connection.
I have upgraded from Win 95 to Vista Home Premium and I have a lot of players that have been compressed using Win 95, which I can't access like the Vista must be mounted. They can be mounted on the old system because it will not start. Is it possible that they can be mounted or accessible via Vista? Thank you very much.
Buy a USB floppy drive. If you will be able to decompress, I can't say. It depends on what you mean by "compressed". MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!
