They run a BES server on-site for the Exchange account.

You should be able to access your customer BIS page by going to the following Web site (substitute the name of your actual carrier CARRIER)

http://carrier.BlackBerry.com

http://att.BlackBerry.com

http://TELUS.BlackBerry.com

You will need to create an account using your device PIN and IMEI.

    Hello goldsalltime

I wipe simple does not delete any policy of our BlackBerry. Currently, if you use your BlackBerry purely personal purposes so first make a backup and then follow this Knowledge Base and put it back to factory setting:

KB31291  :   How to reset a BlackBerry smartphone to factory using BlackBerry Desktop Software Settings

After a reset when restoring your backup, do a selective restore, restore only your contacts, calendar, Memo entries. does not restore all otherwise these policies that you just deleted restore back and you have to start over.

Hello and welcome to the community!

There are several different possible things that could match your desires... but there is no command 'format '. Read this for options:

    • KB16307 Actions performed by the BlackBerry smartphone during the removal of the user stored and application data

However, depending on what you actually do, he may need more. For example, if you intend to sell this BB as 2nd hand, then this KB applies:

    • KB05099 Steps to take before selling or after the purchase of a used BlackBerry smartphone

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

    See this KB:

    • KB05409 Transfer a file using Bluetooth technology between two BlackBerry smartphones

Replace the instructions appropriate for your other device instead of the transmitter unit KB section in the KB. Do not jump 'BT help to receive' step on the BB receiver... nothing will transfer if you do.

Unless you are on a company account, you can not and will not need to use it, you need personal or internet e-mail configuration.

  • E-Mail blackBerry Smartphones Exchange Outlook calendars, not Blackberry using Internet synchronization

    * Please move if it is in the wrong forum. *

This user is currently not on our BES connection to our Exchange Server by using the Internet e-mail option. He is currently on an another BES due to a company takeover.

The problem is that his mail correctly comes through but his calendar is not synchronized. I checked most of the obvious and watched options through the KB and couldn't find anything too specific. It is not on our BES so I wouldn't have to touch. It could be a problem with the Exchange, but others with the same situation do not experience this problem.

    Help, please!

Each e-mail account integrated with the BB will automatically have a corresponding schedule assigned... color is automatic. In regards to whether or not the calendar can sync OTA, which is based on the features of the server that e-mail account is working with. To my knowledge, OWA is not one of the servers that supports synchronization of calendar OTA and would require the use of sync USB/BT tethered via the desktop software. You can check that by following the instructions in the KB linked above... as it says at the bottom of the KB, if the feature is not listed, then the server is not able to do that through BIS.

Also I have no idea why others have what they have... maybe they did a wired synchronization? Maybe they have hidden agenda entries left over? Perhaps they received prompt and accepted on the BB? Maybe a lot of things.

Oh... and look what I found:

    • KB29026 Impossible to sync contacts and calendar wirelessly with the built-in Microsoft Outlook Web Access account

    Good luck!

  • How to use gotomypc torch BlackBerry Smartphones. How to install java?

I just bought a blackberry with ATT as carrier torch. I would like to be able to use the torch to connect to www.gotomypc.com , but it says that java is required when using the web browser. How to install java on the torch so I can use the gotomypc Web site? A link to download would be great. Thanks for any help.

You can not install the readers of applet Java on the BlackBerry Torch.

If you want to control your PC from Windows of a torch, you get another protocol of control, such as VNC or RDM.
for VNC and RDM, you can find apps for your torch on App World.

  • Internal error 4238 blackBerry Smartphones, exchange 2007

BlackBerry 8320, Outlook 2007, Windows XP, Exchange 2007 and Blackberry Desktop Manager 5.0.1.28, extreme frustration.

Try to get the Exchange calendar to sync to the blackberry.  Outlook is configured to deliver mail to the mailbox on the server.  AFAIK synch is set up correctly, synchronization begins, ends with the error message "failed to get an Outlook or Exchange.  Lack of network access to the server Exchange can cause this problem ' Journal lists 'Read '' ' to the list of items, so connection to the server at a certain level is assumed, but ends with:

It is one of the only two blackberrys in the Agency (and likely to stay at this rate), so BES installation is not an option.  Outlook works fine, we deleted then recreated the Outlook profile and the sync folder in the folder settings for the application - no luck.

Is there something in particular that must be set on the server Exchange to enable the Blackberry communicate with her?  The specific services that should be running?  The Blackberry is replacing a Nokia that synchronized without problems on the same Exchange Server.

Thanks for your responses and suggestions.

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

Here are a few KB dealing with this message:

    • KB01172 Error 'Unable to get a folder Outlook or Microsoft Exchange' when syncing with BlackBerry Desktop Manager

Just a small clarification here - there is never any direct communication between a BB and the Exchange Server. All require ducts (BIS/OWA, BES, Desktop Redirector).

Good luck and let us know!

  • How sync an Outlook Express blackBerry Smartphones gets impossible to read the error of application data

I have a BB Flip 8220 and try to use Outlook Express as my Contacts Organizer.  I started Outlook express 'vanilla' and have only a folders in Outlook Express.  I have 34 files in my BB Contacts.  When I run synchronize (and again, I am doing this one way, the Express for BB) I get the error "Unable to read application data", "Treatment device address book", "Label 34 of 34 Records".

I read a lot of threads.  I checked the RIM.log file and it said one-way synchronization.  Clues on how to solve this problem?  I'm on Desktop 4.6, I have to go to 4.7?

    Please notify.

    Thank you.

Well, I solved the problem.  What I did was run a backup using the desktop mgr software, I then ran a restore, but I used the advanced option so that I could open the ipd backup file and select just the database of contacts and push than my computer to the device (using the copy button of right arrow in the middle of the Advanced window thingy).  I restarted and then sync and it WORKED!

Do the backup and the restore must have fixed the file corrupted on my phone.  Wonderful.  I was nervous, but it worked well jst.

I click on Setup E-mail > 'Check updates', says > says "updates are ready for your device, choose Yes or no."

If I select No, I can not all go further, if I select Yes I wonder to download the 6.11.0324.1701 version, I leave the box "Set application permissions" disabled and click 'Download '.

The following error message > "com.rim.bis.client" contains a different version of the "net_rim_bis_client" module, which is also used by ' Email Application Setup. If you continue, "Email Setup Application" may stop working correctly.

At this point, I stop. Can someone please help me solve this problem. I use a Mac is said by the way. Cheers.

    It worked! Thank you.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Exchange messaging solutions

    Hello

I have an OWA email and I got this setup on BIS, I want to buy a solution such as the one on www.mailstreet.com. When I've buy the solution will I need a password to activate as BES? My IT Department will have to do something?

    Any answer will be helpful!

    Hello

To dig deeper into their site, I found this:

Although it does not explicitly say, it indicates that you will receive the services offered through BES. In which case, they will indeed have to activate your BB on their BES. And, if your own there it already on BES, this would conflict - a BES by BB.

Now, if, as you say, your current work email OWA/BIS, this place BES activation would not conflict. However, don't be fooled - the tax these people tell you everything are only their expenses. You will also get, your provider, a data plan at the level of the BES... and pay a monthly fee as well.

More information request must be addressed, in my opinion, people you plan to purchase the service of.

    Good luck.
