How to share files with the airport?

Hello

I have the new airport Time Capsule (2 TB).  I would like my wife to be able to access all my pictures, that are in files on my computer that I save on airport using Time Machine.  She uses several products Apple (iPhone, Macbook Air).

What is the best way to do it?

Is there anyway to access pictures in my backup Time Machine?

If this isn't the case, I think I can just create a folder on the Time Capsule and copy files, which would be accessible on the Time Capsule via shared in the Finder.  But I see 2 disadvantages of the present.  I must first of all, don't forget to update this file manually.  Secondly, my photo files are about 70 GB and it seems like a waste of space, to have it on the Time Capsule twice.  So that means less space for my backups, the backup history go back less far, right?

Thanks for explaining!

Tyler

On your computer, turn on sharing files via sharing preferences. In the first list box, add the folders on your computer that you want to share. In the second list box your will see the users default access. Simply add your wife's name to the list. You can create a new account on it to connect to your computer or you can just give your credentials so it can connect directly to your user account. Or you can change the privileges of everyone from r/o r/w.

Depending on the platform, so that the game was up, there may be an available emulator that will allow you to run them. Looking for the name of the platform and "emulator" can give results. If they are DOS based games, DOSBox is an emulator like this.

    PLEASE HELP ME

    Hello

First a simple question: are you sure that your laptop supports Bluetooth?
AFAIK the Qosmio F20-155 was delivered without the BT module.

In addition, if you are not sure if the phone has BT then you can check the bottom of the unit. It should be placed a label BT if the Bluetooth has been installed.

  • How to share files on the isolated virtual machine?

I cloned a VM of production for some tests, so I don't want to connect it to our production network to avoid any conflict of IP etc. In this case, how can I transfer files between my PC and the cloned VM?

The VMtools has a shared folder, but it doesn't seem to work in ESX or ESXi. The only method I can think, at least for the transfer of files in this virtual machine is to convert the ISO on my PC folder so that I can connect as a virtual disk drive in the virtual machine. Are there other methods better to do this?

    Hello

There are several ways to move forward and keep a 100% isolated virtual machine...

    (1) marks a new connected to the VM source using hotadd VMDK. Place the data to be transferred to this new VMDK. Remove the VMDK and remove the source of the VM (hotremove or power down, change the config and startup). Once disassembled/not done part of source VMDK, attach the VMDK to the target VM and transfer files

    (2) use the suggested ISO/FLP method.

Or the other method could perhaps transfer viruses, etc. Not sure why you want to isolate, but do not consider this possibility, if the source files are infected, then the target is infected as well.

    (3) transfer the data via serial port connections. You can make a VM endpoint for anotehr VM setup of serial port devices.

    (4) mount a USB device in the source of the VM. Transfer the files. Dismount and mount the USB key to the target VM.

    (5) place the target VM on a private vSwitch (no connection to Teddy). Create a router/firewall VM and place it on the private vSwitch AND your normal network. Transfer the files through this device of firewall to the target VM. Make sure that the firewall is configured to NOT allow anything but the Protocol selected to cross. Proposed Protocol isn't ONLY SCP, no CIFS, FTP, etc... SCP is the safest to use.

The last of them will require that you trust your virtual firewall and that it is configured in such a way that anything on the private vSwitch cannot communicate with the outside world and that only the transfer of a file protocol is allowed. (or you can also allow RDP/VNC as requires it).

Many ways to reach this solution, but they all depend on HOW you want things to be isolated.

  • [Q] how to copy files with the untouched directory structure of search results of Win7?

Hello, I'm trying to easily copy a group of files found via a search in Windows 7 on another drive, but keep their structure intact directories, i.e.:

    1. search and find files in this directory:
    c:\Testing\My Files\file *. *
    c:\Testing\My Files2\file *. *

    2 copy the search results
    3. stick to
    d:\Testing\My Files\file *. *
    d:\Testing\My Files2\file *. *

You would think there would be a toggle or a framework of Ontario Regulation or something similar to get there.  I can understand the need to make a copy of flat file as it does now... but is there a way to preserve the folder structure when copying?  Thank you-

It's perhaps too tedious for you.

You might select all search results and then shift-right click, select copy in the path. Paste the paths in Word and replace the entire paragraph is back with the Xcopy command for example

    Replace

    ^ p

    with

    "" F:\DestinationFolder/s ^ p xcopy ".

If you intend to do a lot, you can have a blank Word document with a macro to do the work for you. You would need to remove the last line it will be just a part with 'xcopy' with no file name.

You can then paste the final results in a batch file.

  • How to open files with the .eml extension in Windows 7 Professional

How to open e-mails that have been saved in the .eml format in Windows 7?  I can record e-mails on my server that works under XP and when I click to open the saved email it opens the e-mail.  When I try to open them from the workstation that is running windows 7, it doesn't do anything but open my email program no real email.  It worked for awhile, but now it doesn't.  I tried to change the "open with" and choose Windows Live Mail (my e-mail program on the two compters) but same thing opens just the real Windows Live Mail not e-mail.  Help, please

I found the solution: Set Window Live Mail (WLM) defaults for EML files in Winodws 7:

Control Panal, programs. Set your Defailts to choose default programs, Windows Live Mail, for this program.  Make sure the EML files is checked.

  • Can share files with the XBox 360 to Windows 7, but unable to connect to Windows Media Center

I reinstalled my system of exploitation of 64-bit Windows 7 to Windows 7 32 bit and reinstalled the documents to the user and the location of the program on a separate hard drive data. I was able to add both my XBox 360 on Windows Media Center Extender at least 15 times before that, but it's the only time wherever I reinstalled with 32-bit and moving the location of the documents to another drive (even if I still have them settle there but just by changing the location under properties after the operating system is installed).

When I try to add the Xbox 360 as an Extender, it goes up to like making up the 'contact' on the Xbox loading screen, but then the Media Center on the PC says something in the sense of "Windows Media Center has encountered an error... »

Anyone can shed some light on this situation?

    Hello

You can try to reset Windows Media Center, see these steps.

    (a) click Start
    (b) open the Control Panel, then programs and features.
    (c) click on "Tor disable features of Windows of the URN"in the left pane.
    (d) develop "multimedia functions", uncheck "Windows Media Center". Click 'Yes' to continue and click OK to exit.
    (e) and then restart the computer.

Once the computer is restarted, perform the following steps.

    (a) reopen 'or turn off Windows features turn on'. Enable features. "Windows Media Center". Restart the computer.
    (b) launch Windows Media Center, initialize program.

    Check if the problem persists.

  • Unable to connect to use Windows XP mode on a Virtual Machine, cannot share files between the Virtual Machine and host

Because of the need to run some XP programs, I ordered Win7 Pro and installed a Virtual Machine with XP Mode.

Managed to get it going somehow, but does not connect to my home network (can't see any other computers, which seems to be common with the host of Win 7, but here, I managed to install quick links to other computers - they will not work in XP Mode), even if the Internet connection is working perfectly.

In addition, I can't find a way to share files with the host country, drive C appears to be different from that of the hosts with no common points (where it is currently stored beats me).

I can access a USB key, but only at a price to make it unavailable to the host and the attempt to release his capture when running XP Mode failed.

  • How to share files uploaded in the creative cloud with other members of creative cloud?

How to share files uploaded in the creative cloud with other members of creative cloud?

    Should be easy.  Try this...

    1. In thumbnail view, click the small triangle (pointing down) in the lower right corner of the asset you want to share.
    2. On the blue icon toolbar that appears, click on the share icon (the third icon from the left, just to the right of the trash icon). The sharing dialog box should appear.
    3. In the sharing dialog box, enter the e-mail address of the person with whom you want to share assets, then click on the button send an email - it will receive an email with a link to your assets. OR
    4. You can also copy a link to the asset and paste that in your own e-mail client if you wish.  To do this, click on the link icon (looks like a 'chain' and to the right of the icon to email "envelope")-then click on the button, copy the link.

Note that stock options are not available if your asset is set to 'Private' - you can control if an asset can be seen (or downloaded) by others by clicking the control Public/private (green or red icon "lock").

You can also access the same controls hand, if you click on the file to see him score a point (you can do display thumbnails or list view); Click on the share icon near the top right of the window of the browser (to the right of the name of the asset).

    Hope that helps.

To make it accessible to PC 2, you need to "share". When you type this phrase in a Google search box then you will get many excellent recipes step by step on how to do this:
