How to start firefox Android aurora in safe mode?

A plugin is causing ff show a blank white page even on the settings pages. So I uninstall the plugin. How to start in safe mode and or reset ff?

No, the problem is still there however I have seen that the FF beta version now offers the new sync since I need to uninstall Aurora anyone difficulty so I decided to go with the beta version. Everything works now, and I guess that since there is no safe mode for mobile versions so it won't really an answer. Then we can close this message of support.

Ok. Thank you guys created and a new profile and restarted and all kind of memory freed, but of course Firefox is practically naked, so is expected.
Checked the plugins and extensions, no major problems that are not there, I could see. I have a Gig of RAM installed around a little more, do not think I can add as many more on my old Dell PC of 2005. So I'll just switch to Firefox Safe mode when memory begins to be tight. How can I start/re-start Windows professional XP in safe MODE? Aid filw I get only instructed on XP Home Edition and the buttons and it tells you to follow the guests do not appear in the professional edition. I need the instructions for Pro.  Can someone help me with this?

    Original title: Safe Mode

You can start either home or Pro in SafeMode by this technique...

Keep F8 hitting twice a second immediately after you have switched on the PC. You should get a boot menu where safe mode is selectable using the up/down arrow keys.

Or, use the msconfig utility. When you do it this way, Windows starts in SafeMode permanently until you reverse the changes in msconfig...

    • Click Start
    • Click on run
    • Type msconfig and press enter
    • Click on the CHEST. INI tab
    • Check the box for/SafeBoot
    • Click OK
    • Restart the PC when prompted

    Here's what I'd do:

Create a bootable CD of XP Recovery Console and start on this (instructions below).

    Enter these commands:

CD-(back up/back to the root directory of drive C)
attrib - shr boot.ini (remove the system, hidden, and only the read attributes)
    Boot.ini.bak ren boot.ini (rename the boot.ini afflicted)

Remove the CD and restart your drive HARD and XP will complain about the missing boot.ini, but have yet to start.

In Explorer, navigate to your C:\ folder and rename the file boot.ini.bak boot.ini (this is so msconfig will be able to find it).

Run the msconfig and remove the afflictions like / SafeBoot and save changes, etc.  (you don't have to restart if you do not want).

If you wish, you can change the boot.ini to hand, but not everyone is comfortable to do this.

I don't know if you're free of virus/malware or not but who has bet that you started at least once.

If your EXE files will not start, see if it will help:

Looks like your Windows file associations have to dispose. This means that XP is not
know what to do with the files by looking at the file extension (for example, .exe for executables,
    .doc for MS documents, etc.).

If you don't have it you, something done for you - most likely malware.

Go to this site WWW by Doug Knox:

    http://www.dougknox.com/

On the left, click on the Win XP fixes, file Association fixed and read the instructions at the top of the page.

Download the EXE File Association Fix on your desktop, unzip the file and apply it by following the instructions at the top of the page, then to restart and test.

How to create a bootable CD from the Console of the Recovery XP (no XP media required):

If you have no XP bootable media (or aren't sure you have) create a bootable XP Recovery CD of Console and don't forget (no support for XP not necessary).

This is not the same as recovery disks that might have come with the acquisition of the system store.

You can make a bootable Recovery Console CD by downloading an ISO file and burn it to a CD.

The ISO bootable image file you need to download is called:

    xp_rec_con. ISO

    Download the ISO from here:

    http://www.mediafire.com/?ueyyzfymmig

Use a new CD and this simple and free program to burn your ISO file and create your bootable CD (do not install UniBlue or the Ask Toolbar - never!):

    http://www.ImgBurn.com/

Here are some instructions for ImgBurn:

    http://Forum.ImgBurn.com/index.php?showtopic=61

It would be a good idea to test your bootable CD on a computer running.

You may need to adjust the computer BIOS settings to use the CD-ROM drive as the first device to boot instead of the hard drive.  These adjustments are made before Windows tries to load.  If you miss it, you will need to restart the system again.

When you start on the CD, follow the instructions:

Press any key to boot from CD...

    Installing Windows... going to pronounce.

Press 'R' to enter the Recovery Console.

Select the installation that you want to access (usually 1: C:\WINDOWS)

You may be asked to enter the password (usually empty).

You should be in the folder C:\WINDOWS.  It's the same as the

C:\Windows folder that you see in Solution Explorer.

The Recovery Console allows base as file commands: copy, rename, replace, delete, chkdsk, fixboot, fixmbr, cd, etc.

For a list of the commands in the Recovery Console, type help at the prompt of commands or read on here XP Recovery Console:

There is a pref extensions.enabledAddons you can find on the topic: config page.

One possibility would be to have two versions of a user.js file to initialize this pref with extensions installed and enabled and copy one you need by launching Firefox via a cmd file.
If you are that tight on memory, then you only need to run a version at the time.

It is Pref plugin.state to disable plugins in case you want to do the same, but plugins are used when you visit pages that use them and affecting all the plugins for "Ask to activate" should suffice.

  • How to remove a Trojan horse in Firefox, but OK in safe mode?

Help will be GREATLY appreciated. Thank you very much.

As it does not occur in safe mode, check your extensions to see if one of them is the cause. For more information on how to do that see https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Troubleshooting+extensions+and+themes

Re-directions can be caused by malware. Try to run several malware scanners. It is better to run more as each will be looking for things that the other miss. Some scanners, you can try are:

  • Firefox crashes (even in safe mode) constantly and use 50% CPU while doing

I use Firefox 36.0.1 and Windows XP (32-bit version).

Lately, Firefox made this weird thing where it stops randomly load anything, as if the connection has been broken (it isn't, any other works very well). In this case, Firefox uses 50% CPU, when it is usually revolves around, well, 0%. Restart the browser, or waiting for a few minutes "fixed" the problem temporarily. Same thing in safe mode, too.

I have the feeling that this * might * be related to Flash, since it seems to happen more often when I am watching videos, or stream on the shaking. I tried to disable the plugin-container and update the Adobe Flash Player plugin, with little success. Malwarebytes could not find anything either, and it does not feel like a virus anyway.

Whatever it is, I'm out of options at this point. I had a lot of problems with Firefox for a while now, especially when it comes to videos/animations (I can't play the videos of Vine.co , for example), and it starts to make it difficult for me. I really don't want to switch to Chrome, I don't trust of Google and their browser doesn't have a lot of key functions I like in Firefox (such as the sidebar bookmarks < 3), so I really hope I can get help here.

    Any suggestions?

Chrome is a pain, I tried to go back and difficulty of Firefox (so far), and again, I think I found the problem. I should mention that I tried these 5 suggestions before, btw, and none of them got rid of the problem. Yes, even in safe mode, with a profile is empty, no plugins, no firewall and without tab, it happens again, somehow. And Yes, Chrome will work fine with Firefox running in the background, as I mentioned in my previous post.

What he did for me was turn off Prefetching and IPv6 times in all: config, following the instructions on this this page .

I'm not sure that one did the trick (I kinda afraid to mess with that again, but I could test if you want to, it might be useful to others), but it looks like everything is going well for the moment.

You can try clicking Start > run > msconfig

then when the msconfig window opens go to the Startup tab and there is a startup parameter.

If it is activated/enabled, you must disable, then click on apply and restart

  • Program cannot display web page on start up - replacements all & freeze safe mode

Hi, on my pc startup (Vista) after the initial office, he's going on a blank white page with information i. Message is "the program cannot display Web page". If I try to start the task manager that flashes briefly upward, then the white screen resumes. If I try again, I get a black screen. I don't know how to do BACK guests or find how to work around this problem. I tried several searches but all the answers are in line to remove this or that or a scanner. I don't have access to all programs do. Even the answers on this site so far await you to be able to run other programs of some sort. I'll have to write this on PC of the wife. Any help / suggestions gratefully received.

You can use Windows Defender in offline mode, use a PC secure and download and use:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/what-is-Windows-Defender-offline

And then use removable media or a CD/DVD and create the startup and startup disk in your infected PC and then run a full system scan. You have no need to start your system in this way.
