  Suddenly, Windows Media Center Download the latest TV programming guide.  It worked fine, then all of a sudden it stopped.  WMC wonder if I want to download the latest Guide Listing.  I click on the download option, then he said: 'Guide lists have been downloaded successfully.   I suggest that scan you SFC [SFC system] on the computer that would be a system file corrupt on the computer search and replace.

  a. click Start, click run, type cmd in the Open box and then click OK.

  b. at the command prompt, type sfc/scannow, and then press ENTER.

  Note: Could you prompt to insert the Windows XP CD.

  The sfc/scannow command. analyzes all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with appropriate Microsoft versions.

  2. do you have security software installed on the computer?

  3 when was the last time it was working fine?

  Check and make sure that the background intelligent transfer service is running on the computer.

  (a) click on start toreduce this includes this image, type services.msc in the Search box type services.msc in the dialog box

  (b) right click on the background intelligent transfer service, and then click Properties.

  Ensure that the service status is started and the type of service is automatic.

• Windows 7 Media Center Download EPG

  My guide EPG will not download data and ends July 20, 2015.   I tried to get latest announcements and get the message it completed but no changes are made to the date of end of the guide.  Information Guide page shows Zap2it when I think he should have spent at Rovi.  When you browse the installation program, I get a download error during the step of downloading TV setup data.  I tried to use different Zip codes but nothing works.  I have over the air tuners and I use zip code 98058.  Any suggestions on how to fix this?

  My Qosmio E15-AV101 was shupped with Media Center 2002 SP1. I did the automatic update from Microsoft and also downloaded the SP2 package. Still, the upgrade process fails. When I'm tired, I contacted MS technical assistance for the reason my Media center rejecting the upgrade. Microsoft replyed than the version supplied with Toshiba and other equipment manufacturers are customized to match the hardware manufacturer full compatibility.

  OK guys, that here's what I would have answered as: I have Windows XP Media Center 2005 and use the program guide. When I see a lising for a movie and see the details for this movie she usually shows a copy of the DVD box cover or poster of the film with the inscription. Unfortunately, it only will do with cinema 2010 programs. For films released AFTER 2010, it doesn't show anything at all, except the written information about the film. No box cover or poster of the film at all. (I know that some of these DVDs are already out). Is it possible that the AMG can send an updated movie databases (and possibly CD) for use on the Media Center for all editions via Microsoft Update?

• Update of Windows Media Center electronic Program Guide only to July 22, 2015.

  Electronic Program Guide (EPG of my Windows 7 Media Center PC) ceased to be updated since July 15, 2015. I manually download updated guide to day and it confirms that the download was successful, but the guide has information up to the part of July 22. No information is passed to 20:00 on 22 July.

  This is a temporary problem or should there be a fix for Windows Update?

  Same thing I had, but this fixed it for me.  Run the installation of media center and set up the new TV signal.  Takes a little everything and some channels is different, but the guide whole is back.  Not sure if I need to reprogram my recordings again.  I hope this works for everyone!

  First of all, there is not - and has never been - anywhere to download a legal copy of any version of Windows XP...

  Second, Windows XP Media Center Edition was available as a pre-installed OEM operating system (for example, Dell, HP, Gateway, etc.).  If you wanted a computer with MCE, you should have bought one with MCE.  In the unlikely case where your second-hand computer comes from an OEM and it came originally with MCE (look at the sticker on the box), it is possible, at a distance, the same manufacturer can provide the installation media necessary for a price.
