  The "always use Private Browsing" is controlled in Firefox.

  The setting may be the result of the creation of "save the history never":

  • Set Firefox to save your history - or set of custom settings for history to release the setting "Always".

  My two Tablet and phone are set up with the android sync. My computer was wiped out, so I try to sync my browser for devices, but it requires a recovery key. I can't find this anywhere key on devices, and my browser settings clearly know that that's what I'm trying to connect to. Is this possible? Or do I have to generate a new key? I will not lose rather all my settings / etc.

  Hello, if your devices are always connected to the the sync account, please try to pair the computer like this:

  1. on your android phone, go to the application of the system settings and in Accounts & sync (could be worded slightly different on different android devices), go to firefox sync & tap pair a device.
  2. on your computer, go to firefox > options > synchronization > configure firefox sync > I have an account that will show you a 3 x 4 character code that you will need to enter your android device to complete the process.

  Thanks for asking! It seems that you use some custom settings for history and an option enabled lock you in a permanent private browsing mode. Here's what to do:
  Go to Menu > settings > privacy there, uncheck the box that says always "use Private Browsing Mode. See the screenshot if you can't find it.

  You can perform the same operations for downloads in navigation mode as in your regular browser window. There are no pop-up downloads, but should open a separate tab for downloads in private browsing. Alternatively, while in a private window, you can enter topic: download to your address bar, and it should show you your downloads that are spend in your private browsing windows.

  On another note, is there a reason why you are using Firefox version 24? The current version of Firefox is 32.0.2

  All data is kept in memory and not stored in the Firefox profile folder.
  When you open a new private window all the session data is stored in the Firefox profile folder and new data is created for the private browsing session.
  When you end the session mode PB by closing all windows in PB mode then the data is flushed and session data are reloaded.

  In Safari, tap the icon at the bottom right of your iPhone which shows 2 boxes stacked one on the other. After this tapping, tap private in the lower left corner. You can disable private browsing following these same steps.

  1. Yes. Setting "Firefox will: don't remember history ' prompts you to restart Firefox, after which 'always use private browsing mode' will be checked. The option "Remember passwords for sites" will be disabled and unavailable (grayed out).

  As mentioned in the description of the add-on, this add-on can only be disabled / removed when Firefox is safe.

  Use the following steps:

  1. Closing of Firefox
  2. Hold down the SHIFT key and open Firefox
  3. When the "Firefox Safe Mode" window choose 'Boot mode safe' - NOT 'reset Firefox. "
  4. Click on "Firefox" button and choose "Modules". Remove it.
  5. Close Firefox, and then open it again to the top (this is getting out of safe mode)

  The add-on should be gone and you can use Private Browsing Mode even once.
