How to transfer bookmarks on my computer from firefox 3.6.10, Firefox 4 (not yet installed) on the same computer?

How to transfer from my computer, Firefox 3.6.1 to firefox 4 (not yet installed) on the same computer, without anything losing favorite bookmarks?

If you want to make sure you have your bookmarks in FF4. You can always back up your bookmarks on your PC and import it in FF4 later:

Bookmarks > organize bookmarks > export to HTML

then save it anywhere in your PC.

All your personal stuff is stored in your Firefox profile. Here are the instructions for the backup of your profile, and how to transfer it to another computer:

You'll want to save your profile on the old PC, then follow the instructions under "Restore to a different location" on the new PC.

How can I move the outlook express emails from an XP PC to an another XP PC that has the same e-mail address without overwriting existing messages on this second PC?

I need to group together all messages from e-mail in a PC and to retire the first PC.

This could be problematic. I guess or OE is over? This would make it easy.

One thing you could do requires some manual work, but much less removal of dupes. For example, the Inbox. In the machine, you are going to scrap, create a new folder and move all messages in your Inbox to it. After you import on the other machine, you can drag the messages you need this folder in the Inbox, and then remove the user created the folder.

And then there are tools to remove the dupes. This one for example.

  • "Firefox is not able to display the toolbar. Reinstall the toolbar"how to re - install Toolbar?

Up above Google on the toolbar, it says "Firefox is not able to display the toolbar. Reinstall the toolbar"I do not know how

== I have installed the latest version of Firefox now and restarted my computer

You don't say which toolbar, but if need be "re-installed", this means that it is not part of Firefox, but an add-on. So I guess that you are referring to the Google toolbar. In this case, you will need to go to the page of the Google toolbar and install it from there.
    http://www.Google.com/toolbar/FF/index.html

If you did not originally install it yourself, then my guess is that you're somewhere other than Mozilla Firefox. In the future, make sure you download Firefox from the Mozilla site. www.Mozilla.com

  • Is it possible to have the 64-Bit and 32-bit operating system installed on the same computer?

    * Original title: installation of window OS

    Hi all

In my system, it's already installed 64-bit Windows 7 Ultimate. I want to install 32-bit Windows 7 Home Premium. Is it possible to have two operating system installed on the same computer? Can I do it?

    PL, guide me positively.

    Best regards

    Kapil Kumar.

The amount of RAM is okay as long as you have a minimum of 2 GB installed. Even if you have more than 4 GB, it would not matter, Windows 7 Home Premium just won't recognize it.

In respect with the both, you can set up a dual-boot configuration. Please note that you must have a unique product key to activate Windows 7 Home Premium.

See the instructions how to set up a partition:

    http://www.groovypost.com/HOWTO/dual-boot-Windows-10-other-versions-Windows/

References Windows 10, but the same instructions for Windows 7 also work.

Click Start, right-click computer, click on manage

    Click on disk management

Select the system partition in which Windows 10 is installed. Right-click, and then click on cut.

Enter the amount of space you want to allocate to Windows 7 or Windows 8.1, then click on cut. The more, the better.

An unallocated partition will now be available. Right-click, and then click New Simple Volume

This will start the wizard new Simple Volume, which will allow you to format, assign a drive letter and volume label.

Once your partition is ready, you are now ready to install Windows 7

Boot from the Windows 7 Home Premium disc, then

    Click Custom (advanced option)

Select the partition we created earlier, and then click Next.

Wait for the copy of the Windows installation files.

    Welcome to the Apple community.

I'm afraid that is what happens when you share an Apple ID.

Ideally you should each have your own ID and use family share for share purchases, but at least you would be better to have your own ID's for everything except iTunes.

I suspect that your problem is that you share an ID for FaceTime, you must either stop this or make sure that you have only and that your caller ID is only your phone number.

    Hi John.

The notebook is not the program to open the images in. Notepad is exactly what it sounds like as a small program to take notes on.

Open your images in a browser or photo viewer program.

  • How to transfer Acrobat Pro XI license from one computer to another

    Hello

I installed Acrobat Pro XI on a single computer, and now I would like to deactivate my license on this computer and install the same license on a new machine.

I'd appreciate any help we can to this action, please.

    Thanks and greetings

    Ali

    Hi Muhammad,

I wish to inform you that you can install Acrobat on two machines using a single license, however, you can use one of these machines at a time. If you want to disable, please follow the procedure to deactivate your license on the current computer below:

    1. Launch the application.
    2. Choose help > deactivate.

    3. Choose one of the following options:

      • Deactivation or Activation to suspend: these options disable the software while maintaining the license information on your computer. Choose one of these options if you want to temporarily disable the software and that you plan to activate again on this computer.
      • Disable permanently: this option disables the software and removes the license of your computer information. If you want to reuse the software on this computer, enter the serial numberagain.

Once it is off, you can install and use the same license on another machine.

    Kind regards

  • How to import bookmarks settings on computer that has been wiped with no backup.

I had to "Refresh" the system of windows due to some problems. Without realizing that I needed to make a backup of my files Firefox to retrieve my profile later, I couldn't. I'm looking to see how I can return all my settings and bookmarks with this installation of Firefox without using a previous backup. In addition, the system restore will not work, as 'refreshing' the system deletes those. Thank you.

Have you ever created a Firefox Sync account to copy your data to Mozilla servers? If this isn't the case, it would be what can be recovered on your hard drive or personal backups.

The usual kind of reset in recent versions of Windows keeps your old user folder but it moving here:

    C:\Windows.old\Users\your-user-name\

You will find this file? If so, your Firefox data are probably here - and here's how I suggest to access:

First of all, it would be useful to set windows to display the hidden files and folders. This article has the steps: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/show-hidden-files

    Then click in:

    Username\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles C:\Windows.old\Users\

Note: you may find a cache under AppData\Local folder, but everything important is under AppData\Roaming.

Here you can find one or several folders named random semi. Who has most recently updated content is probably the one you want to restore from.

    Bookmarks only

Go down the old bookmarkbackups folder and copy the last two backups in a location such as the desktop.

The restore feature will replace the bookmarks in Firefox by default (and what you added since the reset) with all like bookmarks. If you want preserve newly added bookmarks, use the first, export function before the restore, then the import function later. The following articles have details:

    Success?

    Complete restoration

This post has my suggested procedure to resurrect your old wide profile in your new installation of Firefox. Please note the use of the copy instead of move throughout the process. This allows you to try again if it fails somewhere along the way.
