  An iTunes library is an index of media stored on your computer that has been added to the library. iTunes has to know where the files are located in order to transfer them to your device.   It depends on your preferences settings. By default, Bridge is set to store metadata in an XMP file. This is the file that has the same name as the original, but it only use the extension ".xmp" instead of Raw file extension.

  Bridge stores this file in the same folder as the original. If you use Bridge to move the files to another location it selects automatically the xmp files to travel with her.

  If you use the view menu / show hidden files, you will see what Curt meant by XMP are hidden files, all have a document icon.

  If you converted to DNG RAW format this data is written to the file itself, as is the case with other types of files such as jpeg and tiff, that can be managed by the cab.

  I have my app game downloaded from the app store called rack 2 & I transferred to my USB key. Noting that the loading of the game takes too long, I decided to transfer it to my external hard drive.   You should never get too low on your space of hard drive as the OS needs a minimum 10-15 GB of free space at any time to work properly. So, if you do any movie or image/photo, rendering and editing editing works best if you have at least as much vacuum you have temporary files in your project. I can easily raise 100 GB or more temp. files for a one hour film HD, so I keep a lot of empty hard disk space.

  In order to get a few things on your hard drive, the usual space hoggers are therefore, movies, photos, etc. You can move all those who in their library on an external hard drive, and after having checked they are working, delete them from your hard drive.

  Generally, the application work better if they are installed on your internal hard drive; I'm not a gamer, so I'm not familiar with the specifics of the game you're talking about.   TO export RAW files you select them in iPhoto and export (menu, file == > export) using the type is an original option - see export from iPhoto for more details on the options

  as to get them off you primary drive - you can't, unless you remove them form iPhoto and empty iPhoto trash and trash system - iPHoto must always have access to the original to work

  Hello!

  You will need to use a full copy of Windows XP.  Should be a sticker with the product key on the side of your desk or below if it is a laptop.

  Once you have this drive, you can reinstall Windows XP.  After you have installed all the software and drivers, you will be able to transfer all your data to the new HARD drive.

  If you don't have a copy of Windows XP, you can probably get a copy of the recovery from the manufacturing of computer media.  Just to provide the model and serial number and they should sent it.

  There are several options:

  External drive is already connected via USB?  Your new computer sees the old disk when you open Explorer?  Is the drive external HARD in the format identical to the new machine Vista (probably NtfS)?  If this isn't the case, you must first convert the external hard drive to NTFS.  http://technet.Microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb456984.aspx (although written for XP, it works with Vista as well).

  If so, create a new folder on the new disc called 'From Old Computer'. Go to the old drive. Now * COPY * ("hold") the files to the new folder that you created. After getting everything copied on you can turn off the computer and unplugging the old drive to protect its content - where everything is not going according to plan.

  Now you can take your time by placing the files copied, where you want that they finally reside on your new computer.

  If you have problems with 'Access denied', follow these steps on the external drive of the new computer:

  In Explorer, right-click on the drive in question and select Properties

  On the Security tab, click Advanced
  On the owner tab
  Select you realize if it isn't already and
  Check "Replace owner of subcontainers and objects".
  Click OK twice (close all dialog boxes)

  If you have problems setting up the permissions or ownership on the disk external drive files and folders, some information here that might help:

  I realide what follows is not what you asked, but if it is still possible, it might be a better solution than moving the data to the external hard drive.

  If the external hard drive has only the data and you want to transfer settings and data (and perhaps even of programs if they are compatible with Vista) from the old XP machine (if it is always present and contains information on the new computer (which is better because it also transfers your program and other parameters (and maybe your programs) as well as the data (or you can ignore the data if it is the same which is))) already on the external drive))), then use the transfer tool.  Here's how: http://www.windowsnetworking.com/articles_tutorials/Migrating-Vista-using-Windows-Easy-Transfer.html#.  This is how I do the trasfer if I had to do it because it makes the implementation of the new computer much easier and faster.

  As a guess your Seagate is formatted in NTFS. You need to check the site of Seagate to a NTFS driver compatible to El Capitan.
