How to transfer photos from iMac iPhone?

I want to transfer pictures to my iPhone from my iMac, due to storage problems in the past, I try to avoid iCloud, Photo Stream sharing etc.; I find all this very convoluted and confusing.

Can't I just click on photos in the Photos and drag and drop them to my iPhone when plugged into my iMac via USB?

I tried a few suggestions in the forums but I can't, someone can help me with this?

Thanks in advance.

Create a photo album with the pictures you want on the iPhone, then connect to USB, launch iTunes and synchronize the album on your iPhone.

  • How to remove photos from the iPhone SE

    July 2016

Computer: iMac running OSX 10.11.5 El Capitan

    Phone: iPhone SE

Buy the new iphone SE.  All properly transferred from old phone, via iCloud, but the new phone memory is almost full, and I need to remove about 300 photos.

I plugged the phone on my Mac with the USB cable.  The phone does NOT appear as a disk in the Finder, as said the seller of phone.

I was able to import all the photos to the Mac with picture Capture and preview, so the pictures are safe, but neither app shows a way to remove photos from the phone.

'Image Capture help' and several items of third say there are buttons on the bottom of the screen to Capture of Image for "show thumbnails in a list (list view button) or to see large thumbnails (thumbnail view button), or to turn (rotation) or delete (delete key) images."

    NOT TRUE.

The other buttons appear, but not the button 'delete '.

I used an extract for years, and it does not remove images.

So how to delete photos from my iPhone SE?  Do I have to look at all the pictures of 300 and delete each individually?

You can delete several photos at the same time on the iPhone.

You have iCloud library enabled, as well on your iPhone and your Mac? Then you sync the library on your Mac and your iPhone in iCloud. all photos are stored in iCloud, make you adjustments will synchronize to iCloud, and then the changes will be synchronized to all devices, so your photo library will look exactly the same on all devices.

Do not delete any photo you want on any of your devices, if you use iCloud photo library.  To win the storage on your iPhone select "optimize storage. Then the photos on your iPhone will be reduced in the size of the file, but you need an internet connection if you want to see the full versions.

If you want less photos on your iPhone to your Mac, do not use iCloud photo library.  Select only 'My Photo Stream' transfer photos from your iPhone to your Mac or use a USB connection. My photo stream is more economic, in any case, because it's free. iCloud library uses the iCloud paid storage and only 5 GB are free. If your photos need more storage, you will need a paid subscription.

See these support pages: iCloud Photo library FAQ

and: iCloud: get help using my photo stream

If you want to turn off iCloud photo library, be sure to disable 'optimize storage"before do you. Wait for the full versions to download again to iCloud.

How to transfer photos from my phone to computer android

    Hello

Thank you for visiting Microsoft Community.

As I understood it, you want to know how to transfer photos from phone android to the computer.

    Certainly, I understand your concern.

I would suggest trying the following steps and check if that helps.

    1. Download and install the USB drivers for your smartphone to your computer.
    2. Insert one end of the cable into the USB connector on your smartphone mini mini USB sync and the other end to a USB port on your computer.
    3. On your smartphone, hold and drag the notification bar and tap the icon USB
    4. Press Activate USB Storage , then OK.
    5. On the computer, click Start and then click computer. The micro-SD card in your smartphone is listed as removable disk.
    6. Double-click the removable disk to open it. Double-click the DCIMfolder and following the camerafolder.
    7. Copy the photos and videos in this folder to any folder on your computer.

Important: If the removable disk does not appear in my computer, verify if the USB icon is displayed on your smartphone. If the icon is not visible, try to connect the smartphone to another USB port and follow the steps above.

  • How can I transfer photos from my iphone 3 g on my computer

How can I transfer unlimited for my iphone 3g to my computer.

Hello friend.  If you mean the iPhone camera pictures, connect your iPhone to the computer via the USB cable and then open 'My computer', click on that should say 'Apple iPhone' (possibly having a picture of a camera beside him). And then go to the folder "internal storage-> DCIM-> 800AAAAA '. You should find all your photos and videos that you have recorded with your iPhone.

For Mac users, you can use iPhoto to transfer the images from the camera.

If you mean the pictures that sync you to iTunes. You can see this step by step guide, it's on the way to copy photos from iPod/iPhone to computer. It is easy to understand and works well enough for my iPhone 3gs.
  • How to remove photos from my iPhone without deleting icloud photo library?

My iPhone is full and I wanted to remove some photo to release some spaceso I supported the up to iCloud and I started to remove photos. ***? They are endangered to iCloud! Now, they're just gone. It's crazy! Image capture you can import to everywhere, but the function "delete after importing" seems to have disappeared. iCloud is a synchronization system, not just external storage.  Once you turn on photo library all you do with a photo is on ALL of your devices (including remove them).  See the last section in this article on how to recover pictures that you inadvertently deleted:

  • How to transfer photos from pictures to Dropbox?

How can I transfer photos from pictures to Dropbox? I used to be able to drag just when I used iPhoto, but since the upgrade for Photos is not. Anyone has any ideas, other than to return to iPhoto?

    Thank you.

    Kathy

Pictures interface is a little interesting... up in the title bar, there is a set of arrows that comes of years the collection and finally moments. You cannot select an image until you are at times. Once you are at times, you can select an image and it can drag on the desktop. However, I suggest that rather than drag on the desktop that you select the image (or images), and then select export on the file menu. This option allows you to make choices on the photo (s), including where you want to put, if you do not want to put them in a subfolder and a few other nice options.

  • How to remove photos from my iPhone 6 s, without deleting icloud photo library on all my devices with ios 9.2.1?

I just updated my iPhone 6s ios 9.2.1 and whenever I try to remove photos from the iPhone library, it is said that they will remove the iCloud photo library on all devices. I don't want to do, I want to save the photos on my computer, but free up space on my phone. Help!

If you have iCloud library enabled in the iPhone then any photo that you delete from your phone is also removed to iCloud and all devices connected to this library to iCloud. It is not a setting or an option where you can change this while continuing to use iCloud photo library. You can reduce the space required on the phone by activating the settings > iCloud > Photos > optimize iPhone storage. You can suggest that Apple offers more options via: http://www.apple.com/feedback/icloud.html
