How to uninstall tencent soso internet search provider explore

Hello

Thanks for posting your query in the Microsoft Community Forums.

The problem description, I understand that you can not uninstall tencent soso internet search provider explorer on the Windows 7 computer.

I think that the search provider of TENCENT SOSO was downloaded with the QVOD PLAYER (P2P of China) even if you clear the check box.

To remove the SOSO search engine, I suggest trying the following steps and check if it helps.

Method 1

Check first if any program associated with tencent soso is available on the computer, if found remove them and check.

Uninstall or change a program

http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/uninstall-or-change-a-program

Method 2

Check if there is an option for tencent soso toolbar in Internet Explore.

(a) open Internet explorer, click view and then click on toolbar and check if you can find tencent soso toolbar available.

Check later in the search provider option if soso tencent is available as a search provider.

(a) open Internet Explorer, click the Start button. In the search box, and then type Internet Explorerin the list of results, click on Internet Explorer.

(b) click the Tools button, and then click Manage Add-ons.

(c) in Manage Add-ons, under Add-on types, click search providers.

Method 3

(a) open Internet Explorer, click the Start button. In the search box, and then type Internet Explorerin the list of results, click on Internet Explorer.

(b) click the Tools button, and then click Manage Add-ons.

(c) in Manage Add-ons, under Add-on types, click search providers.

(d) to the bottom of the screen, select the prevent programs from suggesting changes to my default search provider , and then click close.

How can I prevent programs from changing my default search engine?

  • How to uninstall IE8 from Windows XP Pro SP3 system?

IE8 does not appear in the list "Add / Remove Programs".  Simple removal of icons is futile.  REGEDIT is impossible - the entries simply re - appear.  Otherwise only by formatting the hard drive or purchase is 3rd party software, there a way to get rid of IE8 and go back to IE7?  I tried to download and install IE7, but it refusses to be installed because IE8 (or even traces of it) are installed on the system.  I could, I suppose, pay $59 for an online chat with a tech from Microsoft somehow buit, I doubt that the expenditure would be worth it - I would get no response or, at best, no answer that works.

  • Cannot receive emails from Internet service provider. knows how much is new, don't download, since 03/14/14. Why?

CT 24.3.0. Win 7 home premium, 32-bit. automatic updates on. TB has worked perfect since install. After his return from weekend, could not receive emails. TB is connecting to the Internet service provider, it is 1 of n messages; turns-progress bar green, doing nothing. I can use the web mail from the ISP program to receive emails. What has changed.

Tour of e-mail scanning in your anti virus program and try again. If you ever feel the urge to start an email with the word 'suddenly' problem that is almost always anti virus program, unless the service is actually down with the mail provider.

I feel a bit like Miss Marple, saying that the Butler did it when I answer the latter, but no where near as smart.

  • Help please I'm trying to set up my microsoft exchange e-mail account, but it requires a password for my internet service provider. I don't have one. How can I solve this problem?

Where do you find a password for the internet service provider? First of all, I never heard of him, what is it?  When they hung my internet, nothing has been said to need a password. Help, please?

    Hi Sherry,

Contact the technical assistance service from your ISP for help with your account – including the password (which, although I suppose that it is possible (if intentionally the value no password which is incredibly dangerous if they would even which allowed), is incredibly little likely, there isn't - although the installation program can do such that the need to seize every time has been bypassed and this way you apparently).

If this isn't a problem with your ISP or ISP password, then it probably has something to do with the Exchange Server Setup program.  I'm not sure what exactly that you try to configure - an Exchange Server account, or an account customer to remote Exchange, hosting of your email server.  If the question relates to Exchange Server, please see the forum for assistance: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/category/exchangeserver.

But the first place to start is your ISP because no matter the issues by e-mail, you need to know or may need to know your password.

    Good luck!
