How to uninstall Windows 7 from the recovery disk?

By mistake, I installed Windows 7 on the recovery disk. I have only windows 7 installed on my Dell Inspiron. However, it is now a multi-boot, as Windows 7 is stored on the operating system and the recovery drive. How delete/uninstall Windows 7 from the recovery drive (more free space on it is exhausted). I already tried to 'Format' and 'Remove the Volume' in the disk management page, but the options are grayed out and I can't access it.

It's probably that you managed to install on the Dell recovery disk victory because it would be too small.

Open the recovery partition in Explorer to view the files.

Use msconfig to remove incorrect boot entry

If Yes, how I've go ahead make a bootable USB.

As someone can tell me if there is a way to retrieve the WINDOWS KEY from the recovery disc.

    Thank you.

    Hello

This can help, but you will need a Vista system to create the working bootable USB key:http://www.askvg.com/how-to-create-bootable-usb-drive-to-install-windows-vista/

As for the product key, it should be on a sticker on the laptop (usually on the bottom). If it is not readable, contact the manufacturer for further assistance. As we said already, the product key is not on the installation disc.

Replace broken laptop optical drives is not too difficult, you can see this as another option.

  • Satellite A100 PSAA9A - drivers and applications from the recovery disk

This laptop was reformated HARD drive and I decided to try Windows 7 (beta), which is currently installed and working well. I would like to install the original drivers and applications from the Toshiba recovery disc but I don't want to reinstal the operating system (XP). Is this possible?

As far as I know that is not possible because applications from the recovery disk and drivers are for Windows XP and they are not compatible with Windows 7.
In addition it of not possible to install the only special drivers or applications from the recovery disc.

You can download all the drivers and tools on the site of Toshiba, but I doubt that it of compatible with Windows 7, but you can try it out and post your result here.

If your goal is to reinstall the operating system there are ways to achieve

We need to tap the F11 key immediately after presswing the laptop power button. Who will call the Recovery Manager unless you have deleted the recovery partition or have done something to the original disk partition scheme. In the Recovery Manager simply choose to recover your PC for the original operating system

Alternatively, you can order a set of HP recovery disks.

  • Satellite A660 - custom install from the recovery disk

I like my windows costs. I do not have programs that I don't really need. I tried to uninstall some of them, but they always leave unexpected pieces behind them. So is there a way to stop the factory reset on A660 before installing drivers and other software. So I can install the readers updated and the programs I want to.

I noticed that I can leave the program that installs Windows regarding the Office when using ctrl-alt-delete. Thing is that it will start again once the computer restarts then I have to remove this program from loading at the beginning upward. Can anyone share ideas?

I would be really nice if Toshiba allows us to decide what kind of programs that we have in our computer.

    Satellite A660 97u model. Windows 7.

    Hey,.

I put t think its bloatware. It s tools can you FN keys, webcam, etc. Laptop with a lot of material requires a lot of drivers and software. In addition, you also get a large number of tools that makes computing easier, like Toshiba Bulletin Board software, burning, etc.
If you remove it n don't like this software, but it s kind of Toshiba to deliver these software with laptops.

But to answer your question: custom installation is not possible because the recovery disk contains a ready image of factory settings, no single file.
This is why you must use a Microsoft disc.

  • How to recover files before using the recovery disk?

    Hello

I have a Toshiba Equium and when I turn it on it loads the screen where you log does not appear, it has a black screen with a mouse, and I need to use the recovery disk to get back to normal, but I don't want to format the hard drive that I have a lot of files so it is anyway to recover the files?

    Hello

In my opinion the easiest way is you remove the laptop HARD drive and put it in a box external HARD disk. Then, you can connect this external HARD disk to a different computer now and have access to the files on your HARD drive and you can perform a backup.

An alternative you can boot from a Linux Live CD and back up your files on a different USB devices.

  • How to install Vista from the recovery disk without defining partitions?

    Hello

I have my recovery disk and I have installed a new 320 gb HHD.
When I installed the recovery disc, it re done the 160 GB partitions in each (2 partitions more the 1 recovery partition)...

But I want to dual boot with XP pro because of software problems and I prefer it sometimes...
    I redid my scores, 1 - 51 GB for XP pro(32bit), 2nd - 51 GB for vista (32 gb) and the 3rd - 210 gb is for storage

How to install with Toshiba vista o/s and stuff that comes with it on the recovery disc, immediately to the 2nd partition without affecting how I configure the hard drive...

I have about 100 GB of photos, music, and cam vids on storage, with nowhere to put them, so I can't risk, because some are copy only (so it might be a good idea to let me know how I save this s on my storage spread in the DVD please)

If I can t, then can some1 please tell me how to get my Toshiba OEM vista off this recovery disk or a link for me?

Hope all this makes sense lol... Thank you
    Shane

If you have so much important material best save is to buy an external HARD drive and copy all this stuff here. I recommend buying the small 2.5 external HDD and when necessary, you can take with you and connect to any computer, if you want to view or copy this file. External hard discs connected to other computers with a supplied USB cable.

    Return to your partitions.
When you use the original Toshiba DVD facilities, you will have 3 partitions.
WinRE - partition and it belongs to the Vista operating system. This partition is not visible, and this isn't some sort of Toshiba recovery partition
    -C for Vista partition
Or-d/E to the DATA in the partition. This partition is recorded recovery image in the folder called HDDRecovery
I don't know what model of laptop you have, but this configuration is on all new Toshiba laptops shipped WITHOUT recovery media.

Using Toshiba recovery media, you will be able to get exactly mentioned structure of the partitions. Support to recovery facilities using you WILL NOT be able to install Vista on the second partition.

So if you want to have the dual boot with Windows XP Home edition, you can do following:
-At first, you are going to install Vista with support of recovery and on the second partition, you are going to install your version of Windows XP Home edition
-At first you will be installing WXP and then you can install Vista on the second partition, but you must use the Microsoft facilities drive. Recovery media can not be used.

That's all I can say from my experience with such things.

See if, by your own plain W8.1 installation media, you can reinstall Windows 8.1.

The only downside is the OEM product key in the BIOS.

  • Qosmio G20 - how to reinstall Windows XP without the recovery DVDs?

I am trying to install windows XP on the laptop. I bought the Qosmio without the reinstallation cd. It has no operating system installed on the hard drive at all. Everything is OK, until he asks for raid drivers, then he said: put the disc in the drive "a". There is no player on the G20.
I need to buy a USB floppy to do this, or someone has solutions. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    Hello

As you know already some units Qosmio supports RAID function.
If you want to install the OS from Windows, you must first install the RAID driver.
The RAID driver you will find on the page of the Toshiba driver.

    You have three options:

    1. you will first install the driver disk RAID, and then you could install the operating system from the original CD of Microsoft Windows.

    2. you create a Windows clean boot CD with application called nLite (as mentioned above)
This application allows you to create the CD of the Windows operating system with additional drivers as RAID

    3. buy the original recovery CD Toshiba with the Toshiba service partner in your country

  • How to install Windows 7 from the disc

I need to know how to install the Windows 7 Home premium OEM version from the installation disc. I didn't know when I bought it on EBay, it is a generator system copy. I need to access the custom option to reinstall the full version of Home Premium on the ultimate version, which is not valid because I didn't know he could go only on a single computer. Anyway, if anyone could help me by allowing me to know where to find instructions on how to install Windows 7 Home Premium OEM version from the installation disc, I would be grateful. Or if you can send me the instructions, would be great.

Change the BIOS so that the DVD drive is the first boot device. Save the BIOS change (exit and save) then insert the DVD and follow the instuctions. Note: OEM media can perform an installation "Custom"and clean. "

  • New Windows 7 booted from the recovery disk appears not all hard disks?

So basically, I used my recovery disk. re installed windows very well. But my second hard drive is not displayed. Also, I think that one of the drives are slower, then the other. So which driver should I use as primary and who should I use for backup? Here it shows that 2 drives are not recognized. Ask any more questions if necessary.

    Thanks for the help.

You have one disk (disk 0) with three primary partitions. The 1st is the partition that Windows installed on it. The second partition seems to be empty (open Windows Explorer to check for this, do not forget to set options for the Explorer to view the hidden files and folders) and the third is the "system" Partition which should not be assigned a drive letter.

Not sure why your recovery disk created as 186GB 2nd partition but if its empty that could be deleted and the Windows partition extended in "Unallocated" space formerly occupied by the second partition.

Note: I would call the manufacturer of your PC support team to find out the answer as to why you have this second partition (that you have assigned the drive letter E: to) before doing anything to this partition.
