How to upload files to iCloud drive without installing anything on my PC.

I use a PC with Windows 7, and currently, I don't use Apple products.

I have an iCloud account, and I wanted to add some files to iCloud drive and make room on my computer.

How can I use my browser (Chrome) to add files to iCloud by car?

When I go to https://www.icloud.com/#iclouddrive , it tells me to download the software. I don't want to download any software iCloud or sync with my computer, I just want to download my files to iCloud by car so I can make room on my computer.

Thank you!

I can't find any documentation from Apple that says clearly, but I suspect that there is a requirement first activate iCloud drive from an Apple device or iCloud for Windows. Once this has been done, you should be able to download directly using the link you posted (and I'm able to do).

Note that iCloud is mainly oriented towards the synchronization of data between devices rather than having a storage cloud orientation only. There are other services that can be better adapted to your needs.

There is no practical way to do it.

If you do not enable iCloud Drive on your Mac, you can upload files to iCloud by car via the web interface at https://www.icloud.com

But you can access the files from the web interface and won't icloud drive as drive in the Finder.  You cannot use the Finder to access the files. You need to download it to use.

Yes, if you add files to iCloud by car they are stored on your hard drive, as a work around, you can disable iCloud drive and access it through your web browser to iCloud.com > iCloud Drive, it does not use your hard drive.

  • How to recover deleted files from iCloud drive?

Wouldn't see any forum posts on this topic in a year or two, so thought I would ask once again: if I delete a file of numbers or Pages stored in iCloud drive, is it possible to recover icloud drive at a later date?

In the Apple support document below.

If you need to access a file that you deleted in the last 30 days, you can recover it from iCloud.com:

    1. Connect to iCloud.com.
    2. Click settings.
    3. Under Advanced Options, click on restore files.
    4. Browse the list of files in the window restore files.

Files will be deleted to restore the files within 30 days.

  • I don't want to save all my files to iCloud drive

How can I save on my MAC and NOT iCloud drive?  I use Swift Publisher 4, who has started saving all iCloud drive.  The option "save under" does not appear in the "file" pull down only 'save' and that's why it save on iCloud drive... all the minutes she recorded another file, as I work in the app.    It's frustrating!

    Any help would be appreciated?

I'm not sure of this program, but in some programs, if you hold down the option/ALT key when you select the file menu, you get a save as option.

  • Add mp3 files to icloud drive in garageband for ios 9

    Hi all!

This has probably been asked before, but I couldn't find a solution anywhere, so will ask once again, for what its worth.

After the new update to garageband for ios 9, there is now an option to add a track by choosing "import icloud drive." I think this is certainly a new system to have, if it can be implemented. When I tap on it, I am taken to all my music files stored on disk to icloud. I have a s little as .mp3, a couple of large (approximately 21MO) .wav files.

They are all grayed out. I can't select one of them.

Someone at - he found a way around this problem?

    See you soon

    Deese

You can import the .caf file made by music notes. I don't know what other files types are supported.

  • How to access files on my drive Z?

I run Windows 7 Pro and have a secure partitioned drive called Z-drive.  When I try to access this drive, the computer tells me that I don't have permission to view the files on this drive.  This makes no sense because I'm logged in as an administrator.

This partition takes 186 GB of space on my hard drive... it's over 1/4 hard my entire computer space.  I should have access to it.

I called Microsoft support and they told me that I have to pay to get access to my remote computer because Microsoft 7 is no longer supported.  I hope I can get help so that Microsoft does not require me to pay for disk space that I bought when I bought this machine.

Please help me to access this drive.

    Thank you!

It is not on your hard drive.  It does not all the space on your hard drive.

Records management function, your main hard drive is '500 GB'.  The size is in quotes because the manufacturer of the drive, 500 GB = 500,000,000,000 bytes.  Windows, however, uses "kilobyte" means 1024 bytes; "Mo" means 1024 KB; and 'to' means 1024 GB.

    Therefore,.

    500,000,000,000 bytes / 1024 = 488,281,250 KB

    488,281,250 OF 1024 KB = 476,837.16 MB

    476,837.16 MB / 1024 = 465,66 GB

For example, when disk management displays GB 465,76, which translates one about 500 GB drive in disk measurement manufacturer.

The three partitions displayed on your drive hard drive total 465 GB, including 186 for your system drive and 254 GB for your data (which is almost not used, you probably have not transferred your files of data user yet. see http://www.techsupportalert.com/content/how-move-windows-7-personal-folders-my-documents-another-drive.htm).

It seems that you also have a 2 TB WD My Passport Ultra and a 500 GB WD My Book attached as external drives.

My guess is that the 'Z' drive has something to do with automatic SmartWare backup online Western Digital, especially given that you have the SmartWare CD in your CD drive.  Experimentally, disconnect your computer from the Internet and restart.  Is the drive Z still there?

  • How to make photos of iCloud backup without keeping them on your phone?

I want all my photos and videos saved on my iCloud account.  But once they are saved, I want to delete it from my phone.  Is this possible?  When I turn the iCloud library in my settings, it adds to my phone ALL the photos on my drive to iCloud.

Also, where are my photos in my iCloud drive?  When I go to my iCloud app, I see only documents.

I take more than 1,000 photos per month so that ends up being a big problem for me.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

First question - simple answer, no, you cannot delete the pictures from your device once it is in iCloud.  iCloud is not designed as a traditional backup solution, but rather a synchronization solution, i.e. all sync perfectly on all your devices.

If you want to save space on your device, consider using the iPhone Optimize storage under settings option > iCloud > Photos.  Alternatively, if you consider that a traditional cloud database backup solution, consider using a third party such as Flickr, Dropbox or Google Photos option.

Second question - your photos will not be accommodated in iCloud drive.  It will be separate to the title of the Photos app.

    Good luck.
