How to use recovery discs to get rid of the hard drive password?

I got this calculation and it asks me to put in the built in HARD drive password, I don't have so I bought the recovery disks. I did what he said but did nothing? Help me please!

Hello

The recovery disk will not remove the HARD drive password. Recovery disk will just reinstall Windows with all the drivers and tools (factory settings), but not remove any HARD or BIOS password disk. Of course the Windows password is deleted installation recovery but that s all.

  • Tecra M5: How to use the HARD drive password when the HARD drive is connected as an external device?

I have a Toshiba Tecra M5 with MK1032GSX hard disk. I put a bios password and HARD drive password. Every day I turn on my laptop with my password a number only once: unlock the disk and bios. The password screen is before windows starts.

One day my laptop motherboard is broken, I bring my pc on the Toshiba support center (less disc) and I'm waiting for him (2 months ago). I need to read my date of the disc, but it is locked by password. The drive is a SATA drive, I put it on a desktop computer and I see it in the bios and in windows resource device, but I do not see in the Explorer.

  • Out of the blow of sleep when the HARD drive password used on Portege R700

    Hello
    I just got a DLI R700 with Win 7 Pro 64-bit
I have a very annoying problem because it must be plus 1 minute to accept the password after the resumption of the mode standby. It would be faster out of the hibernation!
So he wakes up from his sleep in a second, then you can enter the password without any problem but you just can't click on the arrow or press on enter up to what more than one minute. Similarly, it will accept even fingerprints directly at the exit (you get the green check mark) after wake but then expects just over one minute to move in the opening session on the desktop screen.

Through a process of account, I worked on what was going on...
Only, it crashes when you have the password on resume from sleep. CV password sleep turn out and he throws back in Office windows in seconds of wake
This does not happen to resume from hibernation or reboot - scan of fingerprints or password is entered, then goes right into the office in a few seconds
I started uninstalling software fingerpint, vap, power, toshiba - nothing always security management the same. Then I realized the password HARD drive - which was defined using the security of Toshiba and deleted using the same, has been still enabled in the bios. I have this off and everything works fine. I reinstalled the vap, power management and fingerprint software and everything is always very well, so it was defnitely the HARD drive password.
Now it's really fake I want to have a RESUME from sleep password and HDD password protection - I have to choose between one or the other, unless I want to wait more than a minute each time he wakes from sleep which is a real pain! So it's clearly a bug in HARD drive password settings, probably in the bios? I have the latest BIOS installed.
Any ideas on how to get this sort?

Does anyone else have this problem with be either 32-bit or 64-bit. Or everyone doesn't have this problem, that is to say that they hear HARD drive password AND he wakes with password ok in a few seconds?
    Thank you

    Hey Buddy,

It's really hard to say something about what I can only say that I can t noticed this problem on my Windows installation.

By the way: you are using the version Windows from Toshiba or your own installation of Windows?

Theoretically, it could be a problem to install Windows or disc itself are you able to test another installation of HARD drive or windows that you can make sure it is not a software problem?

  • Tecra A6 - how to remove the HARD drive password

I am repairing a laptop Tecra A6 for one of my clients.
For the first time, I fixed it for him, the hard drive was blocked from password and I had to reformat using an online service.

This time, when I took my customer's computer everything he had put on his computer was the fingerscroll / password to connect to the account, there was no protection of password on hard disc tray.
I brought it back to the shop, she booted up and immediately, I wonder a password to unlock the drive.
Somehow, the hard drive has developed a password.

    (1) is there a possible problem with the hard drive?
    (2) at - it a solution without having to wipe the hard drive
    (3) Toshiba has tools or the default password that would unlock it

The hard drive is a Toshiba MK6034GSX 80 GB.

    Any help please?

    Hello

The HARD drive password can be removed ONLY if the old password would be known to you.
If the HARD drive password is not known to you then you will not be able to delete
In this case, the HARD drive is blocked and is no longer usable.

Password, turn on your drive. I know, but cannot remove the password.
How can I remove HDD password?

    I'm here with the solution...

    1. the HARD drive password can be removed by using security help.

2 using the BIOS CONFIGURATION go to the HARD drive password section which should appear as follows:
    HARD drive password
HARD = built-in HARD disk drive
HARD drive password mode = USER only
    Registered = user password

3 tab in the "User password" field and just enter the old password and then a new twice (once to check) as you normally would. If you don't want a password, simply press "enter" twice

    * Or try this: *.

    Enter the BIOS
arrow to the "Registered" field HARD drive password
    Press
Enter the existing password and then
Enter the new password (or leave it empty if you n t want one no matter what password), then
Meet confirm retype the new password (or leave blank (see above) then)

    That's all...

  • Satellite U400 - how to remove the HARD drive password?

    Hello

I have Toshiba Satellite U400-PSU40E. I put the HARD drive password to test this optoins in BIOS. It woks fine. After that, I remove the HDD password, but when BONES start to start the fist show me black sreen with password and when push enter Os start at startup.

How to remove this black screen (password disk HARD is clear) before you set a password it is not this black screen?

    Hi iliyan_84,

You only set the HARD drive password or another password too?
Normally the HARD drive password can be removed in the BIOS. Therefore, to set a new password and don't enter all the keys. Just press the Enter key to leave the new password disk HARD vacuum box.

Try to also load default settings in the BIOS and if it doesn't work, you must update the BIOS. You can find the latest version on the official website of Toshiba.

    Hello panjok2,

Sometimes recovery CD are dependent on the architecture of a hard drive.  If it is different from the original disc, then we have problems.

In this case, the best thing you could do is contact HP and see if this is the case.  If it is not why this happens, they should be able to help you as well because they are the ultimate authority on their recovery process.

Let us know if you have any questions.

    Hello

    Yes, you can do it!
If the HARD drive has been recognized by the BIOS, then you should boot from the recovery disk Toshiba in order to reinstall the operating system which has been pre-installed by Toshiba.

  • The recovery disks do not work for the hard drive replaced in my Presario CQ4010F desktop PC

    Hi all

I have a Compaq Presario CQ4010F Desktop PC (Windows 7 64-bit) in which the hard drive went bad. I bought a new hard drive which is a 1 to, the failed drive was 500 GB. So, I ordered disks system recovery, four in total. The disk labeled 'Use this first!' appear to be running fine, then prompted me to launch the next disc, which I assume is the 1 of 3 system recovery disk. With the computer, always, I inserted the CD 1 of 3 and have waited and watched as nothing has happened. I restarted the PC with the 3 disc 1 again and that will inspire nothing happened. Any help is appreciated in this matter.

    Hello:

If you can't get the recovery disks to work (don't make sure that the keyboard, mouse and monitor are connected), then you can make your own windows 7 installation DVD and use that to at least get windows 7 installed and your PC back to the operation.

    Here's how.

If you can read the Microsoft windows 7 25-character product key, you can download simple Windows 7 ISO files to burn on a DVD for the version of windows that is installed on your PC, and which is listed on the Microsoft COA sticker on your PC case.

Burn the ISO with the option to burn the ISO on your DVD burning program and burn it at the slowest possible speed that will allow your program. This will create a bootable DVD.

Or use the installation of Windows 7 USB/DVD tool to compile the ISO file that you download from Digital River. Link and instructions below. You need a 4 GB flash drive to use the USB compilation method.

    http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msstore/HTML/pbPage.Help_Win7_usbdvd_dwnTool

Use 25 characters on the PC product key to activate the installation.

The key will activate a 32 or 64 bit installation.

Then go to the support of the PC and driver page to install the drivers you need.

Link to downloads ISO of W7 is below.

  • Recovery of Satellite A215 after replacing the hard drive

I have a Satellite A215 from issues taken to a store, they said the hard drive was going wrong, they extracted the files it could.
I replaced the concert of 80 hitachi Moose with a new concert of 500 hitachi. When I try to launch the boot disc that came with the computer it says loading windows then goes to a recovery mode and I can't function.

Any suggestion would be appreciated. Thank you

At this point, it would be interesting to know if the same thing would happen with 100 GB HARD drive. Do you get the such or similar HDD somewhere for testing purposes?

It's that you can't manipulate image recovery and recovery installation procedure. Either it works or not.
To be honest, I'm a little surprised by your upgrade. I can't imagine that a small car can work with stronger engine 10 times. What do you think?
