  To use the recovery CD, simply insert the first CD (assuming there are two) in the CD drive and then just turn on your laptop while pressing the 'C' key on the keyboard. This will cause the laptop to load a minimal operating system on the CD that will start the process of recovery of the product.

  You should also be an initial menu that asks you if you want to do a complete system restore or restore 'Expert'. The full restore will delete all of your 'C' drive and will then install the entire system (excluding all the extras you'll have to install afterwards). The recovery of 'Expert' will allow you to partition your hard drive before you install the operating system in the C"" drive.

  I use robocopy in Windows Server 2008 R2 operating system.

  I would like to use Robocopy to copy a disc (z) files on an external drive (f) and want to "full backup" every time regardless of whether the files have been modified.

  How do I do that?

  I tried to use the command

  Robocopy z:\ketchup f:\ketchup/e

  It works very well if there is nothing in this record, but once the initial order has been executed. It will skip all files of unchaged but I want yet it backs up to the top anyway.

  I would like also to add a unique name that includes the date and time I'm it backup (in essense a new backup folder name that contains the date and time).  Hoping to place it under scheduled tasks as soon as I get going.

  I solved this problem in this way:

  In major events, Director of the screen first catch the event and dispatches the event to the fields inside. I don't really know why invoke the navigationClick() method cannot create the button directly act as we click on the button (if anyone knows please tell me), but the code above can act as I had hoped.

  Just to be clear, is the extension of the DMX Zone Manager works with other extensions, including our (project seven). It is a good solution, until we develop our own.

• P2V windows using robocopy servers

  I start a virtualization project where some very large volumes of data must be migrated. The plan is to P2V system first of all partitions, use robocopy to migrate the data from the physical server to the virtual server during a week (while users continue to access the physical box) and finally to make the cut on the virtual machine.

  I wonder if anyone has any suggestions on how best to manage the challenges of active directory/SID by doing this. I thought the following process:

  1. P2V system partitions

  2. Change IP and name on the virtual machine computer

  3. Run robocopy

  4. Remove the source server from domain

  5. Source stop server

  6. Remove the target VM to the field

  7. Add again target server to the domain

  I'm not really sure, but if this hangs together. I'd be interested to hear from someone who has been through this process.

  Rather than make the P2V firstly, why not do finally?

  01. create a new virtual machine with the same number of volumes than your current physical server (a vmdk per flight) and size according to the needs

  02 run robocopy of large volumes, ensuring to copy the ACL to the new virtual machine

  03 planning downtime

  04. all users instantly and last incremental copy of data

  05 P2V system partition

  06. in the meantime, close the new virtual machine.

  07. rename or move the vmdk containing the flight system in the new virtual machine.  The idea here is to replace the system partition with the P2V version.

  08 copying the vmdk from the P2V on the new virtual machine (make sure that the name of the copied file vmdk matches original filename of the vmdk that you have renamed or moved)

  09. now that the system partition was replaced by version P2V, stop the physical source server

  10. put on your virtual computer

  11. clean of the P2V and get right with the correct IP address networking

  12. test, test and test again more

  You could do the P2V firstly, sysprep, rename, Web redirection, etc., but the approach listed above gives you a bit of an easier help.  If something is wrong or doesn't work, you simply close the virtual machine and feed your physical server to the top.  Then you can rename or replace the initial volume of the system on the virtual machine and get ready to try all over again.

  Make sure you copy the .tld and .jar files appropriate for the tag library in the directories for the BPM execution:

  Copy the .tld into /webapps/workspace/WEB-INF

  Copy the jar file of taglib in /webapps/workspace/WEB-INF/lib

  Make sure you restart the workspace after making the above changes. If you are using enterprise, you must rebuild and install le.war/.ear to the workspace and to redeploy.

  HI, please help a total techaphobe. I need to store my photos in iCloud (that is already installed on my iPad, I have Apple ID n all). I tried to select the photos, but there is no option, then save in the cloud. Perhaps they are there already as the AutoSave is enabled, in which case, I need to have access to make sure that there so I can remove from iPad. There is nothing in "iCloud Drive" (I have no idea what Drive is in iCloud). All I can find on the line is either too complicated (it can not be that complicated) try to put myself in place (which I am already), or is completely irrelevant, even the things in apple support. I'm sure it's there somewhere, but it seems that I have to trawl through so much, I hope one of us guys can help me with a frank explanation...

  Go to iCloud.com on a browser and click the Photos app to see if your photos are indeed already in iCloud.  You can also check the Photos app on your iPad as well.

  Another thing to note, you can't delete photos from your iPad, because, unfortunately, is not how iCloud works.  It's a synchronization service and not an archival.  There is not your traditional cloud based.  Which means that it syncs your data on all of your devices that have them at your disposal.  Remove a device and it went on all devices.
