How to use the recovery disks that I created?

Original discs of title: recovery

The computer store fixed my virus but when I come back most of my programs computer had disappeared. I did (as recommended) recovery disks when I came to the computer. How can I re - install what is on the recovery discs?

Hi B.Frizzen,

You can use the recovery disc for re - install or repair the operating system. It will not contain the programs you use on the computer.

If you have a backup of the programs you use, then you can restore the same thing now, unfortunately you may need to download and reinstall the applications again.

    Hello world

I was wondering how to use the 2 recovery discs that I burned recently if I wanted to fix my USB ports (as seen in my Toshiba M300 - wire to USB ports)

    Any suggestions?

    Hello

You can use the only recovery disk to reinstall the whole OS!
This means that the use of the recovery disk will format the whole HARD drive and will set the laptop back to factory settings!

Then the installation of the OS should move forward and you should follow the instructions on the screen.

I guess you didn't read the manual again because it explains quite well what is the recovery disk creator.

However, this tool creates the Toshiba restore disk. This disc contains a picture of the factory settings. This means that the Windows operating system that is pre-installed with all the drivers and tools of Toshiba. It of easy to use (just boot from the disc), simply follow the instructions on the screen.

For example, if you install another Windows or Windows peut t start you can use this disk to recover a system that works.

Recovery of Partitions and recovery disks are created by the manufacturer - they are not Microsoft.  We have no information about their configuration or their operation or anything.  Each manufacturer is different (and sometimes even each make or model).  There may be a keyboard command that you run during startup to speed up the process, but I have no idea what this command can be.  You must contact the manufacturer for instructions and assistance.

If you explain the problem more in detail, we may be able to help you fix the system without such a drastic measure; However, if you choose a clean installation is the right solution (don't forget to backup your data that this process will wipe the drive first), then it should solve all problems you encounter, unless they are hardware problems (but you know that soon enough if it does not work).

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

Go to the Sony website and download the latest Vista drivers for your model.

If the problem persists after that, you may have a hardware problem.

  • F11 not opening and cannot restore using the recovery disk

Hi I have a HP dv4 2106tx model recently I am facing a lot of problem on my OS so I decided to restore the system using the recovery disk that I created earlier when I purchaced my laptop recently.

to restore when I restart my system and pressf1 systemdoes not open a windo recoveryrather it boot directly to the windows.

on my hard drive that I have the recovery partition, even I am not able to restore my system.

When you restore the system to factory settings using Recovery Manager of cyberlink it is said that to recover the factory setting system needs to restart on reboot it does not at all.

so please find me the ways to restore my system.

    Thank you

  • Desktop HP pavilion s5-1540: using the recovery disk

I have the recovery disc I made when I got this pc.

Now, I need to use.  I started the pc with the disc, but nothing happened.

Can I get advice on how to use the recovery disk?

Note.  I'm not very computer savy.

I sent my pc in for repair to a place of repair no HP (insurance).  They have installed a generic operating system but there is no program file.  I want my pc as it was when I got it.

I can't get these disks to run.

    any help is much ajppreciated.

Insert the recovery disk 1 in the drive, restart the PC, when you see the HP logo screen start to type F9 on the keyboard, this should load the Boot Manager, and then highlight (using up/down keys) internal CD-ROM drive cd/dvd and press ENTER, it will now boot from the recovery disc 1 and we hope to start the restore process.

It is a long process not to disturb the tactile keys or pc, while he recovers, it will reboot several times on his own, you know when it is done when it asks you to set up the pc for first time use.

Make sure that the recovery discs are clean before you start.

  • Restore using the recovery disks on Inspiron 15 3521 supplied with Windows 8 Pro. Question on the recovery partition.

I created by the user recovery disks.  I created them the day I got the computer and he made three of them.  My brother has deleted my recovery partition just now.  My question is, if I resumed my Inspiron 15 3521 using three recovery disks that I created, be it recreate the recovery partition in the process?   I just need an answer to this question, not responses indicating that, if I have the disks, I don't need the recovery partition, why would I want the recovery partition if I have the drive, etc.  I would like to just a simple answer to the question.  If I use the recovery discs, it will recreate the partition recovery with all the info, she was in it when I got to the computer?  Once the recovery is completed from disks, will be that recovery partition be there as the day I got the computer, so if I wanted to (I don't want to, but I'm just a question) I could still create the recovery of her discs?  Basically, the computer will be exactly as it was the day I got it home, recover partition and everything?  Or, it will restore the computer to the new plant, but not to re-create the recovery partition with everything she had in it the day I got it?

    Thanks in advance.

Yes, it will be if you select the correct option.

  • Re: How to get Corel WinDVD without using the recovery disk?

The update for Corel WinDVD was rather messy and because of this some owners laptop uninstalled to try to install the new software. Now, we ended up with the only possibility of an image recovery, which, in practice, means losing the software.

Updates for the Bluetooth and wifi are also pretty messy.
Is isn´t possible to get this software back without using the recovery disk?

As you probably know recovery image installed on Toshiba laptops is a kind of software that includes the operating system, drivers, tools specific to Toshiba and utilities but also some additional software like antivirus or DVD player application.

All drivers and Toshiba tools and utilities are available on the Toshiba download page, and if you want to install the version of the OS, you can download each of them.
This additional software is not available for download. It's a kind of gift on the owner of the laptop because as the new owner, your machine must be ready to employment with full protection and opportunities to use multimedia content.

If you don't like it, you can remove the system and use your own applications.

Summary: this software cannot be downloaded separately and if you want to have it again, you must install original image of recovery designed for your machine.

If you have any other questions do not hesitate to ask.

  • How to recover files before using the recovery disk?

    Hello

I have a Toshiba Equium and when I turn it on it loads the screen where you log does not appear, it has a black screen with a mouse, and I need to use the recovery disk to get back to normal, but I don't want to format the hard drive that I have a lot of files so it is anyway to recover the files?

    Hello

In my opinion the easiest way is you remove the laptop HARD drive and put it in a box external HARD disk. Then, you can connect this external HARD disk to a different computer now and have access to the files on your HARD drive and you can perform a backup.

An alternative you can boot from a Linux Live CD and back up your files on a different USB devices.

  • How to use the recovery with a new ssd disk after the death of original hard drive

    I thought I had a simple fix/upgrade for my dv5 - 2077cl.

decided to replace the defective hard drive with an SSD. couldn't afford a 240 GB size but it's big enough for my needs.

I installed the new drive easily and cycled through my 4 recovery disc reinstall the minimum overlap. After you delete the last record, the screen goes gray and there is a cursor in the top left corner for more than 10 hours.

I finally it turned off and tried again two times the same results. I removed the DDI and run disk management on it from my other laptop and an external cable to remove the partiion and create a single partition. Tried to install windows xp on a disk that I own this isn't an update or restore disc thinking I might switch to windows 7 32 bit because I own and upgrade the disks also. even if it is a 64-bit system, but I do not have any disk 64-bit except the recovery disks that didn't seem to work.

When I ran the xp it seemed to work but then I got the blue screen that said there is no drivers for the SDS (the error is as follows stop0x0000007B (0xF78D2524, 0XC0000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000))

So I guess I need to have a windows 7 install disk rather than the recovery discs?

the SSD is a Silicon Power S70 240 GB.

    any suggestions?

Recovery discs usually require a hard drive of equal or greater capacity. XP doesn't have SATA drivers Sockets.
