How to write a letter, then print

I don't know what I have to do to get to were I can write a letter and print it on my computer

Hello luci37388,

Thanks for posting on the Microsoft answers Forum.

There is not a Suite of products included in the operating system of Microsoft Office. However, if you bought a computer a sales establishment OEM to retail, they may have included Microsoft Works or Microsoft Office as part of an overall agreement. You can then use Word or Microsoft Works to type a letter.

Included in all versions of Windows 7 it is Notepad to create text and files Wordpad which has the most complex available formatting. You would get to them by going to Windows Start button, select all programs, and then select accessories. When the list grows, you can select Notepad or Wordpad to write your letter. Then, you can print using the print options. You must have already added your printer.

If you have more specific questions, or if I did not answer your question, please reply back and let us know.

Sincerely,

Marilyn

    You type a letter in a word processing program (Microsoft Word, Corel
    WordPerfect, OpenOffice, etc.). Do you have a word processing program
    installed?

    If you have not installed Word processing program, you can use
    WordPad, which ships with Windows. But note that WordPad is a very
    primitive processing program (really more a glorified text)
    Editor in Chief) and gives you much less control over the formatting to a real
    processing.

    Hi Luke,.

    If you are familiar with the French keyboard layout, you can move from the keyboard to this provision.

    If not, you can acess of the accents you will need the English KB layouts using (for example) option-~, then press e to e, or -e option, then press e to e. see the viewer keyboard for other options. Open the keyboard Viewer, and then press option key to display the keys to use for each accent.

    If all the accents you need are not available from an English keyboard, you can still list a French KB language as a 'second choice' and switch to it when you need an accented letter.

    Choice of the keyboard are defined in system preferences > language and text > input sources. If you choose more KB a page layout, the entry menu (a flag) will appear in your menu bar. The indicator shows the currently active KB.

    Ideas: how to convert a JPEG text file to the one in which I can change and then print?

    • You have problems with programs
    • Error messages
    • Recent changes to your computer
    • What you have already tried to solve the problem

    This can be done better with Adobe Photoshop CS5 http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop/compare/ which is about the gold standard for working with documents of the image - but it's a bit expensive.  It also won't be easy even with this program - it is possible but it will take time and effort.

    If you do not Photoshop, you can use the tool text box in Microsoft Word or picture in Microsoft Publisher - even if they are quite a bit more difficult to work with Photoshop (which is hard) and the results will not look as good, regardless of how carefully you use. The advantage of Word on the editor, is that you have the possibility to use a Wordart object and 3D text. So these are the vector graphics as opposed to a bitmap will not appear on your final print rasterized (but this isn't a problem with Photoshop)

    Quality is really about how much the text superimposed on the image - if it is separate, it will be much easier than if it is covering the picture (so the question is how to fix the image once the text is deleted or changed and not only to change the text).  And it may not be a simple matter to simply correct a word or two, if you do not have the same font available - you may need to change the entire text, so it will look right.

    Another solution is to use OCR software to scan the image, and then try to modify the text.  Still, it won't be easy (probably even harder than the options above) but it's a possibility (depending on how the text is mixed with the image).  The problem here is that most of the options just freeware have the ability to make such a complex task, so you would probably need a comprehensive program of recommended.  Here are some options:http://www.simpleocr.com/OCR_Software_Guide.asp.  What you should do the work is also quite expensive and if you choose this option or the above options depends on what other uses you may have for these programs (and the quality you're looking for in the finished product), once again, I don't think something will do the job as well as Photoshop - I have Photoshop (an earlier version) and I never tried to do it before I did a bunch of other things that would seem impossible.  I don't want to attempt this task if the text superimpose the image, because although I think it would be possible, it would take a LOT of time and effort to obtain a finished product of acceptable quality.

    Technically, you could use Microsoft Paint to do this, but the quality would probably (which are certainly) be terrible and I doubt you want to even keep yourself let alone print it or send it to someone else.  In some cases, it might do the trick but it's free (again, depending on where to find the text and especially if she superimposes the image).

    Regarding the conversion of the JPG file, I'm not sure what turn you to who would make it easier to change and change as you suggest here.  Perhaps TIFF, but it helps very much.  Here are some converters of JPG files:http://convert-jpg.software.informer.com/.  Even if you converted to a .doc file, you could just open it and change the text - it is not as simple as that.

    Another option would be to convert the JPG file in a file of CAD and CAD software allows you to edit the image - but I'm not familiar with CAD products so I can't offer recommendations here (except that I heard that most working properly are still more expensive than the above options and they can be used just about everything).

    Whatever you decide to do, it won't be easy (and perhaps costly as well).  There are freeware programs that claim to be able to do these things, but you will not be disappointed by the quality (unless the text is separated from the image, you can totally erase what's there and replace it with the one you want).  For them, you can search on Bing, Google,www.tucows.comand www.download.com.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • How to write a custom component

    I have 3 quick questions on How to write a component. Here is the code in my main file I want to write as a component:

    buttonCanvas = new Toile;

    buttonCanvas.addEventListener (MouseEvent.MOUSE_DOWN, buttonMouseDownHandler)

    buttonCanvas.addEventListener (FlexEvent.CREATION_COMPLETE, setcanvasPosition)

    buttonCanvas.width = 300;

    buttonCanvas.height = 30;

    if (i%2==0){

    buttonCanvas.setStyle ("styleName" "style1");

    }else{

    buttonCanvas.setStyle ("styleName" "style2");

    }

    This is the component:

    <? XML version = "1.0" encoding = "utf-8"? >
    " < = xmlns:mx mx:Canvas ' http://www.Adobe.com/2006/MXML "creationComplete ="init ()">

    This.Height = 30;
    If (i %2 == 0) {}
    this.setStyle ('styleName', 'style1');
    } else {}
    this.setStyle ('styleName', 'style2');
    }
    this.addEventListener (MouseEvent.MOUSE_DOWN
    }
    []] >
    < / mx:Script >
    < / mx:Canvas >

    Question 1: What is the best way to pass the value of the variable 'i' to the compoonent? What I have to write:

    buttonCanvas.i = i;
    or can I pass the argument to the component as follows, and if so, how I capture the value of the component? :

    buttonCanvas = new ButtonCanvas (i);

    Question 2: Where is the best place to put the listeners? Should I put them in the main file:

    buttonCanvas.addEventListener (MouseEvent.MOUSE_DOWN, buttonMouseDownHandler)
    buttonCanvas.addEventListener (FlexEvent.CREATION_COMPLETE, setcanvasPosition)
    or should I put them in the component like this:

    this.addEventListener (MouseEvent.MOUSE_DOWN, buttonMouseDownHandler)

    Question 3:If I put them in the component, how to point to the function named "buttonMouseDownHandler" in the main file?

    Thanks for your time!

    Hi SiHoop,

    Well come to your question, here is the solution:

    Question 1: What is the best way to pass the value of the variable 'i' to the compoonent? What I have to write:

    buttonCanvas.i = i;
    or can I pass the argument to the component as follows, and if so, how I capture the value of the component? :

    buttonCanvas = new ButtonCanvas (i);

    (A) you can use the method buttonCanvas.i = i; but not buttonCanvas = ButtonCanvas (i) again because this corresponds to an instantiation of the constructor, and you cannot specify a constructor explicitly for your component as the Flex compiler automatically provides at the time of the compilation;

    Using the second approach, you can pass that I appreciate, but you can use this syntax to get the value I have...

    buttonCanvas = new ButtonCanvas();

    buttonCanvas ["i"] = i;

    Question 2: Where is the best place to put the listeners? Should I put them in the main file:

    buttonCanvas.addEventListener (MouseEvent.MOUSE_DOWN, buttonMouseDownHandler)
    buttonCanvas.addEventListener (FlexEvent.CREATION_COMPLETE, setcanvasPo)
    or should I put them in the component like this:

    this.addEventListener (MouseEvent.MOUSE_DOWN, buttonMouseDownHandler)

    (A) it depends purely on your condition if you want to listen to these events with in your component and make somechanges in your component itself and not to other elements, then you can set headphones for events in the same component.

    But if you want to know or communicate with other components in your component event has occurred then define you the eventListeners in other components as below and update of data or make changes in the other component accordingly...

    buttonCanvas = new ButtonCanvas();

    buttonCanvas.addEventListener (MouseEvent.MOUSE_DOWN, buttonMouseDownHandler);
    buttonCanvas.addEventListener (FlexEvent.CREATION_COMPLETE, setcanvasPosition);

    Question 3: if I put them in the component, how to point to the function named "buttonMouseDownHandler" in the main file?

    (A) If you put the eventListeners with the component and if you want to point to the function named "buttonMouseDownHandler" in the main file, then you must do the following:

    In your component

    this.addEventListener (MouseEvent.MOUSE_DOWN, buttonMouseDownHandler);

    private void buttonMouseDownHandler(event:MouseEvent)

    {

    Here, you need to send a custim event to warn other components this thi event has been dispatched

    this.dispatchEvent (new Event ("buttonMouseDownEvent"));

    }

    Now in your main mxml, you have to listen to this event, as shown below:

    buttonCanvas = new ButtonCanvas();

    buttonCanvas.addEventListener ("buttonMouseDownEvent", buttonMouseDownHandler);
    buttonCanvas.addEventListener (FlexEvent.CREATION_COMPLETE, setcanvasPosition);

    private void buttonMouseDownHandler(event:MouseEvent)

    {

    It is the function in your main mxml file

    }

    Hope you understand most... If you have any doubts do let me know...

    Thank you

  • How to change from "let indesign determine the color.

    How do I cange "let indesign determine the color" "let printer determine colors? in the print window, I can choose only "let indesign determine color."

    Thanks for help

    Angelika braun

    You're probably on a no-post script printer printing if InDesign does not give you this option.

    If you select the 'Document' radio and printer profile, select the document profile, InDesign does not perform color conversion.

    Normally, however, it is preferable to use the Adobe color management. This means, by printer profile, select the profile for the type of printer and paper. This should give a more accurate impression.

    If you're still having problems, you can try to export a PDF file, then print to Acrobat.

  • How to write the condition

    Hi guys, I wonder how proceed in Disco Desktop (not admin). How to write exists it as a statement in 'where close.

    Select * from EMP
    where exists (select 'x' emp_1
    where emp_1.sal > 2999
    and empno = emp.empno)

    I thank in advance.

    Hello
    In order to use a subquery in a condition there must be already an existing worksheet in the workbook. If you do not have an existing worksheet, and then you will always see the ability to create subqueries, but you won't be able to use it.

    Here's a workflow to try using SYSDATE:

    1. first of all, make sure you open the Desktop, not more.
    2. create a new spreadsheet table containing only a calculation, SYSDATE - do you this by clicking on continually Next until you reach step 6 of the wizard, by ignoring the message that says that you have no items in the worksheet
    3. in step 6, click on the new button
    4 let the name of calculation as Calculation0 and add SYSDATE in computing
    5. click on the OK button
    6. click on the Finish button - you now have the current date in your worksheet
    7. in the menu bar, select sheet | New leaf and select the Table
    8. once more constantly click Next until you reach step 6 of the wizard, and ignore the message that says that you have no items in the worksheet
    9. in step 6, click on the new button
    10 let the name of calculation as Calculation1 and once more add SYSDATE in computing
    11. click on the OK button
    12. click on the Finish button - you now have the current date in your second worksheet
    13 remain in the second worksheet, in the menu bar select Tools | Conditions
    14. click on the button new to create a new condition
    15. in article , use drop down the menu and select Calculation1
    16. under the dropdown value (s) , you should see create subquery
    17 notice how discoverer has automatically selected Calculation0? It is the only element so naturally it will be selected. However, if you have more that one discoverer selects an item of the same type of data
    18. nothing to except click the OK button a few times now

    What you have done is said that the SYSDATE in worksheet2 depends on the formula in Sheet1, which is also be SYSDATE.

    To prove that this work, go back to the worksheet sheet1, change the formula of SYSDATE -1before returning to sheet 2 and then refresh it. This time, you should get no returned data showing that the subquery works.

    Moreover, any leaves that you create in Desktop using subqueries will still work even if you cannot change the subquery itself and more.

    Best wishes
    Michael

  • How to change the letter on the external HARD disk

    My drive external hard was originally on drive F, and with that, I got all my music iTunes also. However, for some reason, my computer stopped recognizing the F drive; the following message appears when you try to open this drive:

    "The drive or network connection that designates the shortcut 'F Drive.ink' is not available. Make sure that the disk is properly inserted or the network resource is available and then try again. »

    The problem I have now is that the external hard drive is now the G disk and iTunes does not recognize the path (G:\iTunes), I say to use, for example, my music is not loading properly and that a fraction is playable.

    Can someone help me with this?

    Hello

    I would recommend to change the external drive (g) to F letter.
    Do you know how to do this?

    After the external HARD disk is connected, you need to access the disk management and you will see the HARD drive (unique partitions) and other readers.
    Then you must mark the external HARD disk and should change the letter F.

    Perhaps the letter F was reserved for another drive.
    In this case, you need to unlock the letter F by assigning another letter to the reader that uses the letter F.
