HP 15-AF006AX: USB 2.0 port does not work

Hello

I installed window 7 in my new laptop, but the usb port does not work in the case of data transfer.

and I am not finding a driver for this, can you help me for this problem

Thanks in advance

Hello:

The only suggestion I can offer would be to settle the AMD Chipset drivers from the link below the problem.

You want the first file on the Web page.  Install and reboot the PC.

    Hello

You won't lose me. I'm probably in a different time zone you are.  I live in Europe.

If you still have the unknown device follow these steps:

Open Windows Explorer and locate the SWSetup folder.

Expand the folder, find the sp56724 folder and double-click it to open it.

This is where the driver for the device unknown (USB 3.0 host controller should be).

    Call the Device Manager.

Right click on the unknown device and select Update driver software.

In the next window, select browser my computer for driver software.

Now, you can choose to let the operating system locate the software or the path to the sp56724 folder yourself. In both cases, ensure that a signed driver is selected.

  • Usb and Ethernet port does not work after update of windows 8.

I can't keep install my apps every two days after the update. Please let me know what I can do to update without having this same problem. If there is anything I can do so I have to return the laptop.

    Ben.

    Hi Ben,

You can install the Windows updates manually by changing the settings of Windows updates.

    1. Open Windows Update in Control Panel by dragging it from the right edge of the screen, typeSearch (or, if you are using a mouse, pointing to the top right of the screen, move the pointer of the mouse down and then clickingSearch), get into Windows Update in the search box, by typing or clicking onsettings and then type or by clicking install optional updates.

    2. In the left pane, tap or click change settings.

    3. Under important updates, click the following option:

Download updates but let me choose whether to install them.

    4. Under recommended updates, select the give me updates in the same way I receive important updates recommended , and then click OK.

Manually install the Windows updates and find the problem causing the update.

    I hope this helps.

    Hello

I updgrade my OS from windows 7 starter edition to now a windows 7 home basic 32-bit usb port does not work is the (only) in the left near card reader sd and lan.
Can you please hellp me to install it? I have download the drivers from Toshiba for my NB200
    But does not work.

    Thank you

    Paulo

If everything is OK and right drivers all USB ports should work. You cannot install the drivers for each port separately and force one of them to work properly. On this machine, all three ports are the same USB2.0 ports.

    Try reinstalling the chipset utility.

By the way: two other ports work well, right?

    Hello

    > This problem start after a storm in my area some time ago.

Because other devices don't work properly and because procedure didn t get it back help you solve this problem, I think that the problem is related to the hardware malfunction possibly that the motherboard was hit by lightning, which would explain the problems

I think you should ask the maintainer authorized Toshiba in your country to check the motherboard.

But in my opinion, that the warranty does not cover the issues of environmental impact maybe your household insurance could help you

  • El Capitan USB port does not worked well under Yosemite.

Running a VMWARE image of the Linux kernel using a Sentinel of SafeNet USB license dongle canned.
Has worked perfectly under Yosemite unfortunately too long to go back.

The USB port does not work with other USB devices?

I suspect an incompatibility with the EC and the sine of dongle USB EL strengthened using third kexts. They must be signed, and so a softer update for the dongle is probably necessary.

  • Envy of HP Dv7 - 7223cl Windows 7 Ultimate 64 - Bit: USB 3.0 Ports will not work.

When I plug my mouse into one of the USB 3.0 ports, Windows does not sound has indicated that it is connected. I did a clean reinstall there two days and most of my drivers installed, but they do not work. A store local deleted Windows 8 PC and installed Windows 7, a few weeks ago, and USB 3.0 ports was working at this time, so drivers exist. After having some problems, I decided to do a clean reinstall of Windows 7, which has deleted all my drivers and I was able to reinstall most of them, but USB 3.0 ports has not worked since and still not working. I looked on the internet, but I couldn't find the right one. I looked in the management system and found that two devices: PCI Device and SM Bus controller are shown with a yellow sign. After looking under properties, I found that the two do not have their drivers installed (Code 28). Anyone know where to find the drivers for this problem?

Nevermind, it works now. I just had to uninstall and reinstall all components of AMD. Thanks for your information!

  • HDMI port does not work

Original title: HDMI port stopped working after the update.

This morning my laptop did an automatic restart to install updates and now my hdmi port does not work. I tried to restore the system to a previous point, but that has not helped. I have a HP Pavilion dv6.

I worked with a team of online crash analysis and they had update me of the BIOS. That fixed the problem and the HDMI port is now working again. For those of you who have the same problem, go to http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp48501-49000/sp48953.exe .

Update your BIOS can help you too.

    Hi all

Since yesterday, I have my Toshiba Satellite M40-265.

My problem is 2/3 ports USB does not work.
I've tried different USB devices such as memory stick, mouse usb and usb printer plugin.
Just plug the device into the left USB port, if they will be recognised by windows xp home.

Any ideas what's wrong with my laptop?

    Hi Gerold,

It looks like a hardware problem with your USB port. Visually check the ports that do not work and you should see a central plastic ankle against which should be four strips of copper fitting. Make sure that none of the tapes is twisted or damaged, it is quite common for one or several of them have been accidentally bent out of position or ankle Central plastic must be broken.

    Kind regards

Two USB 1.1 ports work fine after cranking up what the laptop goes into mode 'sleep' (automatically or manually).
The restart afret optical mouse connected to the USB port does not illuminate and the XP system displays the error message on the device not recognized on USB port.

Plug the mouse on or off doesn't change anything. Only restart helps.

  • HP DV7 ENVY: USB 2.0 Port does not

    Hello

I have a DV7 HP ENVY with 3 - USB 3.0 ports and 1 - USB 2.0 port. The USB 3.0 ports are working well but USB 2.0 does not work. When you plug a USB stick to the USB 2.0 port power led on the memory stick lights up but the led data is not. The computer does not at all to the inserted USB memory. The USB works fine in other 3.0 ports. I tried also to connect other USB devices, and it's the same thing. They work well on USB 3.0 ports, but nothing happens when you connect to a USB 2.0 port.

I was looking at the USB drivers in Device Manager and haven't noticed anything that seems strange.

I have run the system test diagnostic USB to start the system and got the following codes:

    Failure ID: 9BXQGK-6JK858-QFPK0K-8D0G03

    Product ID: C1W26EA #UUW

No idea if this is a hardware or software failure?
