  I spent countless hours online and search for bugs on the web sites of Microsoft for Windows-8 updates of the anomalies and corrections, with no resolution. HP has no alternative but to contact Microsoft support. I can't find a link email Microsoft support anywhere.

  I have a HP PAVILLION a1007W desktop, which took the windows xp operating system.  I installed the windows 7 Home premium operating system and have found that I can't get online.

  Device Manager tells me that the driver for the multimedia audio controller is missing as well as the driver of ethernet controller.  The driver needed is:

  PCI VEN_1039 & DEV_0900 & SUBSYS_2AO4103C.

  I HAVE LOOKED EVERYWHERE AND CAN NOT FIND THE NECESSARY DRIVER.  Of course, the PC doesn't help if I can't get online.

  On my laptop was windows 8 pre-installeted and because I'm a horrible person I dicided to downgrade my laptop.

Here is Im without windows 8 (cause its pre-installeted and there is no CD) and with windows 7 but without wifi.   To manually install the driver in Device Manager, click the controller E/D PCI needing drivers.

  Click the driver tab.  Click on set to update driver.  Select her browse my computer for driver software method and find the folder of the driver that was created when you ran the file.

  This file will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp66974.

  Make sure that the include Subolders and install the driver.  Then restart.

• LaserJet Pro 400 M401dne problem Duplex - duplex printing on its own from Windows computers.

  401dne's all jobs from two sided printing windows different computers even if I did not turn on "Print we Both Sides" in the properties of the printer from any application.   Problem solved. I contacted HP Support by Chat online and we opted for the PS driver. It works correctly, a face print individual pages, Duplex prints two pages on one. So yes, the PCL6 driver is deficient.

  OEM Windows 8.0/8.1 Professional (Major) comes with downgrade rights.

  Windows 8.0/8.1 Professional Retail doesn't.

  For OEMS of Windows 8.1 a single system locked preinstallation SLP key is a unique 25-digit product key integrated in the UEFI BIOS.

  For Windows 7 OEM SLP credits is entered from the installation media. This key works only if the markers in the BIOS are present, it is that the BIOS is checked by the OEM. For this reason, you need to an OEM license and support OEM installation.

Unfortunately, the auto-negocie port speed is changing between 1000 MB and 100 MB, apparently at random. sometimes two vmnic adapters are recognized as 1000 MB, sometimes it is 1000 MB and the other to 100 MB, sometimes both are 100 Mb. the switch (Extreme Networks Summit X 350-48t) works fine for the other servers, gbit, although the supermicro servers are one with 10 GB cards.

  the extreme Summit X 350-48 networks seems incompatible with 10GE cards. swapped the switch for an FSL 648 Brocade and everything works fine.
