HP 15-g020ca: Internet connection drops frequently

Hi all!

4 months I suffer from this problem.

My internet connection drops every 15 minutes and takes about 2-3 minutes to reconnect.

In the meantime the wifi connection still works and strong (5 bars).

I tried all methods to resolve this problem, dns flush, back, ip address, update driver... I have even to connect my laptop to a dongle wireless usb to see if it's a hardware problem, but same result. I tried to connect to another wifi network but also the problem remains.

Strangely when I connect my computer to my phone internet of the data over wifi it works perfectly.

My phone, iPad are connected to the wifi in my house without any problem.

Any idea? Thank you very much in advance for your help.

It is possible, if the original malware file is on another drive or partition, then when the file is available the malware can reassert himself on the BONE, unfortunately malware detection is not 100% effective, it is generally recommended to use several malware programs, I generally recommend malwarebytes first that it is one of the best After that I also use spybot search and destroy

    Hello

I hope one of you can help me. I have a laptop 13 q Satellite L755 nice for a year and a half.

My problem is that I surf the net and suddenly my internet connection drops down. On Firefox or IE, I have a message with a triangular signal yellow saying: "your connection has be revived."
I'm still waiting on my network but I can't access the internet.

The strangness, is that my family other PC or laptop have no problem on the connection.
This happens on the wifi and cable. At home or other places of connection.
In France and the United States. So my conclusion is that there is a problem with my laptop.

I looked around some forums. It seems that some have a problem with IPv6.
I have disabled the option to use IPv6 on my laptop, but I still have the problem.

Another comment: I play the Kingdom of the fortress online.
Sometimes I disconnect from this game but I can still surf the internet for a few minutes before undergoing a total disconnection.

    Looking forward for your help.

As this happens using WLan and LAN its really hard to say why your connection is interrupted.
Have you tested the internet connection with fresh preinstalled system?
I mean it is possible that some software / updates received or installed in the past it would affect.

  • Internet connection drops

The OS is El Capitan 10.11.3 on both my MacBook Mid 2010 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo 8 GB 1067 MHz DDR & iMac 21.7 end 2012 2.9 GHz Intel Core i5 8 BG 1600 MHz DDR3, connection to the internet with the 5th generation Airport Extreme. The internet connection drops without model except that diagnosis shows a cable ethernet disconnected between the Airport Extreme and the ISP modem. I can install an older Airport Extreme I replaced about 4 years ago because there was no support for WPA security with the same Ethernet cable and the connection does not fall. I can also plug the MacBook with the power cord and connect via Ethernet. Is it possible that the Ethernet WAN port for the modem to ISP is down? The reason why I ask is that I install the older airport with the same ethernet cable. (I have other cat5 cables, but none of them are cross-cable as the cable provider ISP) I don't want to leave the network upward with the old airport because I have no security.  I price a new Airport Extreme and a cable crossed, but I'd feel better spending the money if I can be pretty sure that the 5th generation extreme is a failure. Anyone have any ideas?

Some modems are more problematic that others... you must tell us the details.

This modem you have, make and model please?

You don't show us the summary for the AE, but if you run 7.6.4 firmware, it is less stable with some modems than previous 7.6.1 (this is why the old AE does not fall).

Please firmware downgrade to the AE to 7.6.1. For this, hold down the option key while clicking on the version number of the existing firmware. A list... Select 7.6.1 (DO NOT USE 7.6.3. it is poor..).

The latest version of AC AE is even worse... so I recommend you to buy a different brand of router... you can continue to use EI as WAP, as long as you take on their track, it should work ok.

  • Internet connection drops when I turn on the laptop

I use a computer laptop dv7-7250us HP Envy, running windows 8.1.  All my software is up-to-date.  In the last month, everytime I turn on the laptop, the internet connection drops.  Troubleshooting of HP operation resets the wifi adapter.  It's boring run the troubleshooter in the mornings.  Any suggestions on what I can to prevent that from happening.

I have Intel Centrino Wireless - N installed 2230.  I went out to the Intel Web site and most recent driver.

    Hello

I rolled back the driver in Device Manager, and now I'm able to connect automatically when I turn on the laptop.  The driver that works has been dated to August 2013.  The Windows update in June for this caused driver wifi whenever I turned on the laptop.

  • Internet connection drops (loss of connection)

My internet connection keeps dropping on my laptop computer (Toshiba Satellite L355-S7915), after about 30-45 minutes of use and I fix by restarting the computer.  I can't reconnect without having to reboot.  When I disconnect and try to reconnect my wireless internet does not show yet.  I use windows VISTA SP 2 with IE 9.  This does not occur when I use my laptop with XP, so I'm sure this isn't my ISP connection Wi - Fi.

    Hello

This problem can be caused by damaged or incompatible network drivers or third-party antivirus blocks. I suggest that disable you the antivirus and check also refer to article assistance and update the network drivers and check if it helps.

    Step 1:

Disable the antivirus software and check if it makes a difference.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/disable-antivirus-software

Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you do not disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network during the time that your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

    Step 2:

Updated network adapter and check if it helps. See step 4:

  • Windows 7 - Internet connection drops regularly

    Howdy

OK, let's start first. I widely studied this issue, nothing works, is a lot of people saw it and this is not unique to the computer of the person.

The question. I have a Mac Book Pro and it has bootcamp on it, that allows me to partition and run in native mode, Windows 7. Once again, this problem arose for both users of bootcamp and not. When using my Mac, I am able to use both wireless and Ethernet for the internet, no problem. When I'm on Win 7, I lose my internet connection sporadically. If I was on average, about once every 90 minutes or more. It does not matter that I use LAN or wireless, the same incident rate. The error is still the same, I got an IP address not valid. I run the built in Explorer to fix the internet connection tool, he immediately restores then connection and then I'm good for another 90 minutes or more.

I have to use Bootcamp for some projects client and when Im in the middle of such collaboration and Im suddenly started because of internet fall, its super frustrating. There is a lot of info about it on the internet, but no real solution permanent. Help, please.

    Thank you

    B

I found an article that seems to fix the problem, we'll see. I forgot the exact names of things, but I had to go where all network connections and disable everything except the LAN line, there were three against one. Then, I went in the LAN settings and uncheck something in the direction of version 6? It was a box that I simply disabled. I was able to run several hours without a drop, more stable later today.

    Thanks for the reply.

  • Problem with my internet connection drop.

I keep losing internet connection on my laptop Toshiba, he usually drops about 14:00 every day and I reconnect and on 5 minutes later, I lose again, I have two other laptops that do not have this, it's only this one and this one is new, I throw the bad shoots and he tells me that the default gateway is not available fixed. But then 5 minutes later it happens again. Can someone help me? I had this problem for months, I could use the help. Thank you.

    Hi Mike,.
    Thanks for the reply.

Sorry I know this previous method suggested did not help.
I suggest you to reset TCP/IP and check.

Manually assign the IP address and the default gateway and check if it works very well. Before assigning the IP address and the default gateway manually, make a note of the IP address on the computer. To do this open command prompt, type ipconfig and press to enter. This displays the IP address, make a note of it.

To manually assign the IP address and default gateway, follow these steps:

    a. in the system, right click on network icon tray. Choose the open network and sharing.
    b. right-click on the connection to the Local network and click Properties.
    c. double-click Protocol Internet Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and assign the IP address manually.
Example: Old Ip address is 192.168.0.1
    Replace the IP 192.168.0.50
    d. let the subnet mask and default gateway are the same.
    Subnet mask = 255.255.255.0
Gateway by default, would usually 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1
    e. click apply then click Ok and restart the computer and check if it helps to solve the problem.

    I hope this helps.
  • Intermittent problem with IP addresses and internet connections dropped

Once a day or so my PC (Win7) will not be able to access the internet. Connection just drops. I use DHCP for IP addresses.

As far as I can see in the Event Viewer I get these types of errors "the address lease IP 192.168.1.64 for the network card with network 0x406186808C4C address was rejected by the 192.168.0.1 DHCP server (the DHCP server sent a DHCPNACK message)."

My local network is simply: PC-online router (Cisco E1200)-online internet (modem Siemens SpeedStream 4100 DSL)

"When this happens, we run ' ipconfig - release 'then' ipconfig - renew." This usually fixes the problem. Sometimes, this does not solve the problem, and we need also the modem power cycle. In a few minutes find us the internet connection. It's nice to have a manual correction, but we want to solve this problem to happen... as is the engine of our family crazy...

The address LAN IP of the modem is set to 192.168.0.1

The address LAN IP of the router is set to 192.168.2.1

When things are running OK, I usually see it in the ' ipconfig-all the ' results: = 192.168.2.147 IPv4 address (Preferred) [but the IP numbers change slightly] my understanding is that see "Present" in the result is a good thing (but I don't know why...).

Any thoughts on what is happening? and how to permanently solve this problem?

I'm also confused on IPv4 and IPv6. Should I be concerned with any information of IPv6 in the ipconfig-all the results?

    Thanks for the help

Talked with the ISP (ATT). Zig - zag, you were on the problem. I had both modem and router set to DHCP mode... so I had some conflicts. The solution was to define the "bridge mode" dsl modem and configure the router to "PPPoE mode. Everything works now. Thanks for your help.

  • Internet connection drops every 30 minutes

I'm chasing a frustrating problem on one of our HP laptops.

The laptop loses its internet connection after 30 to 60 minutes, and the only way to get it back is to restart the PC.

The PC is a dv6 Pavilion with Intel Core i5 processor chip.

Operating system is Win7 Home Premium SP1

Network adapters that I show are:

    Intel WiFi Link 1000 BGN

    Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter

Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter #2

    Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller

    Antivirus is MS Security Essentials

    Router is a Cisco/Linksys E1500

    The modem is Actiontec M1000

    Is DSL through Qwest

The error message we get when internet stop working, said something about "cannot find DNS", I will copy it down the next time it happens.

The PC only to lose the connection is this.

Reset the modem and the router not to find an internet connection.

The problem occurs if the PC is connected via a cable or wireless

When the PC loses the internet connection I can still see and ping it to other PC, and you can still see the other PC.

Here's what we've done so far without success:

Run the Network Diagnostics can not find the question

    Router and modem reset

Reset TCP/IP and restarted (netsh int ip reset c:\resetlog.txt)

    Off the hidden network adapters:

    6to4 MS card

    Map of ISATAP MS 1-4

    Teredo Tunneling Pseudo-Interface

(all these returned when we restarted)

Change DNS servers on the local network, Wi - Fi and on different servers

Change the DNS from the router to the same servers 2 servers

Restored the PC on 2 previous restore points

    Update Intel WiFi driver

Don't scan last Antimalwarebytes - no problems found

    Turned off the firewall

Removed McAfee (hate this stupid show)

I am at a loss what to do next.   Any ideas?

We try to be methodical obviously, starting with the simple and more complex.

    Thank you!

  • Computer internet connection drop (only configuring a connection)

Good evening.  I am running Win7.  I have a modem/router Netgear connected with BT broadband and Ethernet connection between my computer and the router.

When I switch off my computer for the night and resume the next day, the computer says that I have no network connection.  My wife's cell phone and the son can always access the internet via the wireless connection, and in all other respects, the network is functional.

In order to restore the internet connection from my computer after power off, I have to reset the router.  Once this is done, the computer takes up his internet connection and network with all its cable systems and wireless connections continue to work perfectly.  In my view, that it is a software problem with the adapter to computer network, but beyond my ability to resolve.  Grateful for any help you can give.

Go to Device Manager and uninstall your network card.  Restart the computer and it will reinstall it.

If that does not resolve the problem, I suspect that your router has a problem.  I notice that you tell us that your router wireless works well, but your (and only you) wired is not.

You can also try to change the cable, but it rarely makes a difference.  Try also using a different router port.

Replacement is not big an investment and typically brings benefits, if you buy well.  A high price on a new router doesn't mean better.  Some of the costs down those are just as good.  The Dlink DIR L 605 is an example of a great router at a reasonable price.

  • internet connection drops BEFSR81

MY wired dsl-cable befsr81 router is giving up my connection whenever I try to download a file. I tried the latest firmware and also reset and restart my entire network without result. Whenever the router is running it down my internet, but when I use my cable modem my connection works fine.

[NOTE] I used to run a befsr41 and he had the same problem and then I went down the firmware to Version 1.45.7 and which corrects the problem, why is there not an option to downgrade to my Befsr81?

(Mod Note: edited post for the respect of the directive.) (Thank you!)

Well after test my network works for more than three days in a row, I found the problem.   First let me preface what I say.

#1: I know that this correction is exactly what was causing my problem and not something else that just happened to heal because I can reproduce this problem over and over again.

#2: I'm not a noob, you have to ask, "Is the router plugged into SIPPS plug" LOL I've run Windows95 and linux game servers at Lan tournaments and data centers remotely via SSH for more than 7 years.   I think you get the point.

#3: this is the dumbest bug or whatever you want to call it I've ever seen with any type of hardware/software in my ten years of using computers and operate networks.  AND IT LINKSYS'S FAULT.

    OK here's the fix

The blue cat5 cable with my BEFSR81 must be used to connect the modem cable to the router.   I repeat that the blue cat5 cable can be used.

I tried with any other cable I have at home and it is about 14 of them.

When the blue cable runs from the router to the modem cable, the connection is well and all three of my workstations are connected.

But when I use another in more blue ethernet cable that came with my linksys router router abandons connection.

What kind of company are selling their equipment with ethernet cables.

I thought dell was bad company.  Linksys has reached an all time LOW in my book.

[EDIT]  And ook, your solution is ridiculas what the problem is.

  • Internet connection drops wihen loading/downloading files

    original title; HELP PLEASE.

Hi, recently, whenever I download something from my laptop disconnects my internet and I have to reset my router. This does not happen with other computers on my home network. This does not happen on the safe mode with networking, or if I connect to my laptop over directly to the LAN. Can you please help me with this? There is also a site that won't load on my computer, but all other computers are able to access. I use Windows 7.

You should be fine... Free Malwarebytes is only one on demand scanner.  If it makes you feel better, you can disable Kaspersky, while the scan is running if you want.

  • Canning Internet connection drops when the computer is connected to the PS3 via an Ethernet cable.

    Original title: Shared network problem

I am trying to use a shared network, configure as follows. My computer connect wireless to my router. My PS3, however, seems to be really slow when connecting wireless to the router and is at a proper speed when connected via ethernet. So, I have my PS3 connected to my computer with an ethernet cable. I put the wifi connection to be shared. Next, I set up my PS3 to connect to cable internet. Has gone through the steps and connected properly and at full speed too. However, there is a problem. My PC guard 'give up' connection to my router, while remaining connected to the PS3. I have to manually connect to my router again, regardless of the connection automatically option. Almost as if my PC is to use ethernet for internet access, (which he won't get that which is connected to the PS3) and so it loses the wifi connection. This abandonment happens around every 5 minutes or more.

Is it possible to keep my PC connected to my wireless router and still be connected to my PS3 through ethernet to connect my PS3 using my PC?

The problem seems to have 'fixed itself. I tried messing around with the connections that would not work even the bridge. Then I've switched back to ICS and did not have a disconnect since then.

So the problem is now resolved, but don't know how?
Whatever it is, I am very grateful for your help Manasa, it is well appreciated!
