HP 15-n096sa hard drive enclosure

I have recently buy a hp from ebay and they send me winout hard drive. I buy a hard drive, but the problem is that I don't have a shopping cart. Where can I find a shopping cart of 15-n096sa Hp

They ship to the United Kingdom, but the total cost will be a little unreasonable. These car simple rubber covers would work to hold the drive in place, but if you have to have the real thing.

    Hello

The right part for the hard drive kit is 681976-001. The website of the laptop stand is on HP Sweden so run on google.co.uk part number (or your Swedish). I found the cheapest on us amazon for $38 or £42.

  • Windows 7 not recognizing not not hard drive enclosure

I want to access (files) to a XP disc that would no longer start. I bought a hard drive enclosure, installed XP inside drive and plugged into my new computer (Windows 7). Windows Explorer does not display the drive, even after restarting the computer again. Why?

Go to disk management and assign a drive letter to the disk.

  • Impossible to file recovery on a SATA hard drive using a hard drive enclosure.

Removed SATA drive of doesn't have a VISTA desktop and put it in the hard disk SATA enclosure.
Joint casing hard drive on VISTA laptop to try to recover the data.
Laptop says I need to format the hard drive in the box until I can use it.

The drive is physically damaged or too damaged. You can try to connect the drive to another computer to see if the results are different. If this isn't the case, then you have the choice:

1 Hope the drive is not physically damaged and run the data recovery software. R-Studio is excellent and allows to download a demo to see what it would recover before buying.

    2. If the data is critical and money is not a factor, don't even try #1 because whenever the disk rotates, you take the chance to destroy data. Send it to a professional data recovery company. I use a Drive Savers for my clients. General prices run from $500-$ 3, 500. Investors recovered all disk data on a portable player that failed for one of my clients, and it cost $2 700. He thought that it was worth the money; only you know what's worth your data. I understand that some insurance companies now cover fresh data recovery so check with yours. • Y480 - laptop does not start with attached hard drive enclosure.

My laptop started clicking and will boot LAN, so I opened it and looked at the hard drive. All seemed well, it wouldn't be fair to start. Then I removed the metal casing around it and stuck the drive in. Everything started normally. Chkdsk shows nothing wrong with the hard drive, and I'm not sure why remove the dressing would affect startup. All the thoughts/solutions?

  • 2007 Mac Pro HD hard drive enclosure?

Hi, I have a 2007 Mac Pro, which I was not able to use for more than a year because my monitor has ceased to recognize it after that I tried upgrading my OS.  It may be a graphics card problem. I do not know.  I didn't spend the money on a new graphics card for such an old computer, and I already have a newer laptop now.

At this point, I want to just put my old Mac Pro HD in an external enclosure so I can hope to access my data again.  I bought a box at Amazon based on previous research, but after the opening of the Mac Pro and looking at the HDs, the speaker, I purchased seems to be quite the size wrong.

The HD is a Western Digital Caviar SE16.  Can someone tell me what kind of HD casing, I can get this would be?  I want to really just to get my old files and be done with the old Mac Pro.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

The Western Digital Caviar SE16 is a SATA standard 3 1/2 inches.

Any attachment for a SATA 3 1/2 inch will work.

    What case did you buy?

Was it for a SATA 2 1/2 inches or the older PATA/IDE drives?

  • To install the new eSATA / SATA to USB 2.0 hard drive in an external enclosure but the computer does not recognize the drive in disk management

I have an old computer with installed Microsoft Windows XP SP2 and 3.  I bought a new hard drive and also a new external hard drive for her case.  I have correctly installed the hard drive inside the enclosure, and I think that I have installed correctly (in the motherboard SATA port) eSATA port, according to the manufacturer's instructions.  I plugged everything... first eSATA, then power and power switch.  I restarted the computer, and I chose to analyze disks in disk management.  However, the new drive is not recognized.  The SATA port on the motherboard could not work or did I buy the bad, perhaps, hard drive enclosure for my system?  Or something related to the software?  Thank you.

    Hi Donnadream,

Connect the hard drive to another port and check if that makes a difference

Step 1: You can follow the steps mentioned in the article below, which deals with a similar question

A computer that is running Windows XP cannot detect a USB, an Apple iPod flash drive or an external hard disk drive

Step 2: Download and install the latest drivers from the chipset of the computer or the manufacturer of the motherboard and check

Step 3: Hard disk can be turned off in the BIOS; You may want to enable

Important: Change BIOS (Basic input output system) /semiconductor (CMOS) to complementary metal oxide settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. • A drive enclosure hard card SBT-EKU25 will work with a Toshiba Satellite L355D?

As the title indicates, I would like to know if a Sabrent SBT-EKU25 ultra slim USB 2.0 hard drive 2.5 inch pregnant will it work with my Toshiba Satellite L355D model. I've never used a hard drive enclosure before and I just want to be sure that it will work with my computer before buying it.

The housing of the hard drive, it also says IDE/PATA, but I know not really knowing what that means. I would be very happy if someone would inform me on that as well.

    Thank you for your time.

    MissSakura.

    Hello!

I don't know, but as I know that this model comes with a SATA (Serial ATA) hard disk drive & enclosure is PATA (Parallel ATA), so it won't work. but you can try and take your laptop to a computer guy and ask him to be sure if the hard drive can be adapted to your external case. Also, if it is a SATA hard drive you can always go for an external SATA enclosure.

  • external hard drive is missing. But drive turn on!

    Hello

My Iomega external hard drive seems to be missing on my mac. But I see the drive light on when you are connected to the USB port.

I use an old iMac & an Iomega hard drive that worked without problem. I took travel & when I got home, I connected on the iMac, but I don't see the icon. I find deposit on Finder & also I tried turning / slideshow, external drive on Finder.I see all other connected external drives but not this one. I do not see it listed in the disc utilities. I tried to connect to another Mac & still have the same problem. Can someone tell me what is happening?

I've never used the Iomega drivers on the mac, but everything worked well. Do I need to download Iomega drivers?

It seems that the Iomega company is more then what I do and who should I speak?

I use the last BONES of El capitan.

    Any guidance will be appreciated.

    Thank you.

If possible, try a different port or a different cable; the light in the external hard drive enclosure

can work OK, while the data flow uses different threads in the cable. In addition, the housing

(also known as speaker) can have bad elements which could affect the ability of

the internal hard drive. You may need to get a replacement suitable for box

Use with this hard drive inside.

The old drivers of this company would be unnecessary; the recent OS X has all the people.

There are several reasons why the external drive may be badly behave. Between the

cable, taken & /or port and failure internal circuit that connects the drive

inside the computer outside, these can be remedied by the use of replacement cases.

So there are words that can mean 'wardrobe' of 'accommodation' - or "case."

If the unit is based on port-power supply through the USB cable only, other issues can happen.

Most of my closed external hard drives use an external power supply. You can

must obtain and use (please bring extra) quality additional backup included the HD discs.

For examples, see OWC macsales.com. Specifications and information are here.

Sometimes, you can use disk utility to see if you can get an external drive to be 'seen '.

and if so, do 'mount' - sometimes the other question, trying to unmount or eject.

At this point, close to 12:30, I hope the case is something simple. A cable? A port?

    In any case...

    Good luck & happy computing!

  • Problems copying bookmarks from old Hard Drive to new hard drive

The motherboard on my old Windows Vista 64 - bit is dead. The hard drive is still accessible. I bought a new PC with Windows 7 and installed Firefox. I find the.default file for Firefox on the old drive hard and copied and pasted in my new profile on my new hard drive. The old hard drive is connected to my new PC with an external hard drive enclosure. I tried looking for in my old profile user Firefox hard disk of old. I do this by clicking on my old username, go to Program Files (x 86) and only one program file that I found for DNA. Firefox has been installed on my old PC, so I'm surprised that I can't find what it listed under Program Files (x 86) on this drive. If I search the old drive for 'signet', it evokes my bookmarksbackup and other files of bookmarks '.json '. I tired bookmarksbackup copy for my new Firefox profile on the new hard drive and it seems to work, but the old bookmarks do not appear when I open Firefox. I looked at the links troubleshooting for the same problem that others have posted, but they seem irrelevant, because I can't find the sqlite or the directory where my old Firefox settings are stored on my old hard drive. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Firefox settings are not stored in program files, but they are stored under APPDATA.

If you take the newer JSON file you have, open Firefox, press Control, Shift and B at the same time, then go to "Import and backup" then 'restore', then choose file, you can import it like this?

  • Satellite Pro C50 - A - 1 K 9 - use of the HARD Drive Caddy

    Hello

When I got my new laptop the first think I did was to install an SSD.

I don't usually use my optical Bay so I am planning to install a HARD drive enclosure.
Someone has already done this, and if so have you had any problems? Also, what are data transfer speeds?

    Thank you

    Fraser

I can't tell you if this extra HARD drive caddy will work in the Satellite Pro C50 series STRANGE Bay - A - 1 K 9 because that depends on the support of the BIOS and the controller.

I read about these updates several times in different forums and to be stone, sometimes it is possible, but in many cases, the BIOS does not recognize this drive caddy HARD and laptop does not start.

In the case where you have already tried these updates, please share the details with us!
I think it would be very interesting for others, if this update worked correctly.

  • Equium A60-692 - no power and removing the HARD drive

The power has gone on my A60-692, the adapter is ok but there is just no no LED on the laptop. I had to get replaced a few years ago so maybe it is related to that of the power connector.

I took to a local repair place, he said, it would cost more to fix this, so I should really find it useful laptop only think about recover my data.

Is it really so hard to fix these things?
How hard is it to make the hard drive out, & how would then access down my data?

    Thank you
    Dave

    Hello

    > I took to a local repair place, he said, it would cost more to fix this, so I should really find it useful laptop only think about recover my data.
I agree with the authorized service provider. My personal opinion is that it s a malfunction of the motherboard and it is a very expensive part. Besides, Equium A60 is pretty old model so it would be better buy you a new laptop and recover your data.

    > How difficult is it to make the hard drive out, & how would then access down my data?
It of not difficult, but I m really wondering why you need access to these data. You don t have a backup? In my opinion the backup is the most important thing you need to do on a computer.
Anyway, normally on the underside of your laptop there is a HARD drive cover which is guaranteed by one or two screws. You must remove this cover and then you can see the HARD drive and you're able to remove it.
Also buy an external HARD drive enclosure where you can install the HARD drive. Then you can connect it to another computer to back up your data. ;)

  • What external case for HARD drive do I need for my Portege 2010

I have a corrupted windows XP, but fear using the repair option due to the large number of photos of my children who have yet to be backed up or displayed in a photo etc store.

I found that you can buy a hard drive enclosure that can then be used via the USB port to download these important files before any repair option. I bought a standard encolsure 2.5 "from Maplin but the connection is a woman on both ends (enclosure and hard drive) and a few shorter pins on the drive of Toshiba wants the encolsure.
How I progress - my wife won't let me live if I can't get these photos off the coast and professional background should not be necessary.

    Help!

    Hi Andrew

Problem is that your Portege has 1.8 HDD and I found just this page where you can pick up some http://www.addonics.com/products/io/aks218ide.asp Info

I hope that you will be able to backup your data.

    Good luck!!!

  • Qosmio - how to access the HARD drive?

    Hello
the Qosmio G30 is completely 'dead' and I removed the two HARD drives.
Anyone know how I could access the HARD disk without having to start the RAID... How could restore data by using the HARD drive as a USB device?

    Thank you
    Mike

    Hello

You want to remove the internal HARD drive and want to connect it as external device using an external HARD drive enclosure?

In this case you will need an external SATA USB controller because the Qosmio G30 supports SATA drives.

  • Is the nessicary to hard drive...

... when I send my laptop in for repair?

I looked up data backup services and prices are absurd. Can I just remove my drive hard when I send to HP for repair? Do need it? What are my chance of losing data if I just wing?

Sorry if this is in the wrong place, but this seems to be the best place to ask.

Had this happen to me, and this is a possible work around: on the one hand, is the BIOS of your computer protected by? If no, go to a computer store and buy a hard drive enclosure USB 2.0 SATA 2.5 with USB (about 10-15 dollars). While off your computer, remove the hard drive. Remove the adapter from the end of the hard drive and the hard drive then plug the HD inside. Put the hard drive in the new enclosure and using the USB cable, plug it into another computer (PC at home, model of friends, whatever...) and navigate to your files as if it were the external storage device, copy on everything you need to save. Just reinstall the HD in your laptop and send it for repair.

    I hope this helps.
