HP 15 Notebook TS: Erratic Touchpad Synaptic

My synaptic touchpad pointer is in every sense of opening and closing of sites I am activated on or not.  It's erractic to say the least.  I've updated all the drivers and software available.  Now, as I type is pointer leaves what he wants to do.  I tried the software freeze does not work.  Can I uninstall pad driver touch Synaptic and installanother? I spent weeks trying to solve this problem.  Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Hey thanks again for getting back to me.  My model is HP laptop 15 TS, the number is G9D68UA #ABA.  I tried the update some drivers already but it was before I figured out it was the touch screen and not the touch pad that was causing the problem.  I appreciate really help you here.

I just got my new VPCEC390X and experienced erratic touchpad behavior. During the strike, mostly Word and Excel, the cursor moves across the screen and and start to open the tabs, shortcuts, etc. I couldn't also toast in the text boxes (the software registration type) and the address bar of IE and Firefox. I type or left click in the box and nothing happens.

To disable the functionality of plays, but then why have a touchpad online chat? Does anyone else have this problem or a solution? I did all the Windows 7 (64-bit Pro) and VAIO Updates I could find. I even searched manually the touchpad driver and it was the same thing I had, but did not reinstall.

    Hello Jimmy,.
I agree, double tap disabling is a short-term solution. Check the touch pad utility itself instead of the driver. It is possible the default Windows driver installed on our touchpad mouse utility.

  • Touchpad Synaptic on Satellite Pro A100

I have a satellite Pro A100 equipped the touchpad above 2 weeks of age.
I find that using this touchpad is very difficult to learn.

It is designed to pass a large window to a small if it is typed into a corner and active or disables the return if she is engaged again. The idea is fine, but it is too sensitive and is not easy to control everything.
Is question - possible to disable this feature? New driver perhaps?

If this is not the case, is it possible to get a compatible touchpad which does not have this feature, I really wouldn't sell like a new computer.

The Synaptic it mounted on my last computer did not have this feature and has been very easy to use.

    Hi guys

All the features of touchpad could be a bit confusing for someone who has never used the extra functions of touchpad.
I have disabled all the touchpad has because I don't need all the features of this and I mainly use the mouse

But I think that if someone goes to work and uses the features an extended period then usage will be much easier.

  • Satellite C50 - B - 11 L - erratic Touchpad

    Hello

I have a Tosh C50 - B - 11 L for only 2 weeks (to replace an old Tosh Satellite L300, which was very reliable).
I want to throw it away, due to the response of the touchpad. It will freeze or no reagent, erratic, will ignore the taps, etc. Causing destruction at the sites where the cursor is not where he appeared to
be. And is extremely frustrating, as I am simply unable to use the laptop to its potential.

I got the latest driver of momentum. I see that this seems to be a problem, that does not seem to be addressed properly by Toshiba.

Any suggestions? Could I delete the drivers of the momentum and always have a touchpad to work?
Or should I forget it and buy a hardware mouse (which rather defeats the point)

Thanks for your suggestions (I did the F5/F9 nothing helps stuff)

Looks like in there was no one else here for awhile. My question will likely go unanswered as well.

Personally, I think that the touchpad, that you got was made at 3:30 Friday afternoon, recently classified computer of someone with exactly the same type of problems. Turned out there, it was nothing of evil to his computer, it was the wireless mouse get funky.

But there is another thing that is interesting to watch too, she is part of a tutorial to help Google Desktop, I wrote and it may be relevant to your problems as well. Remember, when you go through this process to empty all the fertile Toshiba as well waste and let Windows itself handle all these functions, you will discover quickly that Windows is not all that slow after all.

Mods - please do not hesitate to use all or part of the following as a sticky thread, it will really help a lot of people.

Shamefully, this forum does not allow attachments and has a limit of characters on the message size. Ok. Simply means that I have to split the text on 2 positions. Starting to remind me of my troubles with getting a new BIOS.

    Background programs

It is the most common problem with Windows, programs running in the background. Some programs such as your antivirus software must run constantly in the background so that they can check all files that it is open and make sure that you're not everything to trigger a virus. Some programs will be set up to run in the background so that when you click on the icon to start the program, it seems to start quickly. But most just start in the background so that it puts their logo in the taskbar next to your clock.

All of these programs, and there are usually dozens of them, use main processor and the RAM in the computer to run so you have run the slower your computer gets. Many of these programs are poorly written and very often interfere with each other and with the Windows system, this can make Windows start behaving oddly, perhaps that the Office will not open, maybe the internet will work all kinds of other problems.

The solution is simple, we stop these programs from starting when Windows starts. Should remove all programs, just to keep them from starting automatically, you will always be able to start one of them by double clicking on their icons. Windows built into the program to do this, it's called MSCONFIG. Just of type msconfig in the search bar of program and click it to start it.

I have a laptop HP G72-b63NR, and scrolling touchpad stopped working the other day. Don't know what to do to get it up and running again... Help appreciated!

    Hello

    Try the following.

First, download the latest installer driver Synaptics, on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp50501-51000/sp50703.exe

Then, open windows control panel, open programs and features, right click on the entry "Synaptics Pointing Device Driver" and choose uninstall.

When this has completed, restart the laptop.

When windows has completely recharged, open your download folder, click with the right button on the setup of Synaptics and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  When this has completed, restart the computer again.

Then you will need to configure the options of your choice - to do this, open windows control panel and on the top right, next to the display by: select "large icons".  Since the new layout, select mouse, select the settings tab and then click on the settings button - see the document on the following link for the options generally available.

  • HP Pavilion DV7 laptop: Touchpad, sometimes active, even when the power button is pressed on off (light orange)

I use a wireless mouse (or a wired mouse) preferably instead of the touchpad.   The touchpad has a power button to press - white light indicates on and off Orange light.    After booting, I usually disable the touchpad and mouse wireless, however, sometimes when you type I realize my palms are contacting the touchpad and the cursor jumps around accordingly.    The touchpad is disabled (orange light) but I can control it with a finger, it works like its supposed to as if it is enabled.     Any ideas?   I have not downloaded a driver updated or do anything to try to solve this problem, as I fear, it could actually cause other problems.

Update the driver it is the usual Council for problems - that is the solution here?   Has anyone else had a similar problem.    Most of the touch pad problems I've read is in regards to an erratic touchpad - nothing to do with 'on' or 'off' problems.

    HI @WayneCM,

Thank you for your inquiry. I will do my best to help you!

I understand that you use the power button / stop to turn off the touchpad.  Sometimes, you will notice that your palm is in contact with it and the cursor is accordingly jump around but the rest light orange, to show that he has disabled.  Here is a link for HP Notebook PCs - using the touchpad and ClickPad (Windows 10). Please review the section on "Open the properties of the ClickPad" in figure 4, you'll see there's a button where you can disable the touchpad, until you want to reactivate it. Please let me know if this helped.
