HP 15-r012tx: wifi limited in range, short-range connected

Please HELP me and explain to me pls with the language (no high-tech language)

I just bought HP 15-r012tx, after 1 day that I installed it, nothing happened, wifi worked well. until the second day, suddenly, WIFI LIMITED, after that I tried the solution via google, nothing can solve my problems,

and I found it my laptop can CONNECT to the router TP-LINK 3420, so closely with the router, about 1 to 3 m, but more than that, access will be LIMITED. The signal from the router is excellent (5 of 5).

I did the reset ip via the command prompt, do the DNS manually, but still LIMITED (distal scope). I also do my driver Ralink RT3290 802.11bgn updated Wi - FI adapter and make homelessness hightest sensitivity via the properties (Device Manager)

I did almost everything like the hp troubleshooting, for example 1 of many here: http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-15-Notebook-PC-series/6875200/model/7132738/document/c0452930...

But guess? nothing worked, help me, I'm frustrated because can not far from my router and have to sit in the middle of the scale

PS: my laptop another access from away and the signal bar is maximum (5 5 0f) and works very well.

  • Intel Wifi Link 1000 bgn short range

Hello, I have RMA had my Ideapad Y560 2 times and still have a problem, they stated that the Wifi has been tested and fully functional. Here's my problem.

I can ONLY get connected wireless to my router/modem when I'm in the same room as the router. Once I leave the room, I immediately lose the connection, or it shows as 'Access restricted' and I can not internet, even if the network is still detectable with a range of 4 to 5 bars.

I use Windows 7 Home Premium, I also tried to use GNOME linux boot cd, I've updated to latest drivers, I put wireless in the management of energy for maximum performance in all cases, I disabled the "disable wireless when power economic option" same result.

I called my ISP and they couldn't help either.

If anyone can help me please let me know, I really hope I don't have to deposit to RMA a 3rd time Lenovo customer support is really great, but these guys are making too many errors on the end of the repair.

Nope, I just got back from RMA, I was right it WAS the antennas. Works fine now, thanks Lenovo!

  • iPad does not connect to the Wifi on the range 192.168.0. *.

I have an iPad Mini (ME860BA) on os 9.3.1 that would not connect to my wifi at home.  He began to abandon their studies repeatedly a few months before and then just wouldn't connect at all.  It is on the os 9.3 so I upgraded to 9.3.1 but it did not help.  I was able to connect using a hotspot from my phone but no go on the real wifi. Sometimes it seems impossible to connect and others it seems to connect but without the wifi icon that appear (and internet access). All other devices connect to the House without exception (or question) - it's just my iPad.

I followed every bit of advice I've found - turning wifi off & on, forgetting network, reset all the network settings, hard reboot, reboot normal, turning airplane mode turn off again, go up the brightness of the screen (odd) and finally I restored my router and the iPad to factory settings.  Nothing worked, so I took him to a store of Apple and waiting for the genius to see me I thought I would try to connect to the wifi and it went all right!  I felt a little silly to start with but they still took a look and said that he had 'something' bad, but they didn't know what.  Their best guess was that it was something to do with password authentication because they are client wifi has no password.  I returned home and disabled the security mode of the router - I have a Virgin Superhub running the 2.4 and 5 GHz primary wireless networks - no amount of adjusting the security modes (remove the password, make visible SSID, change of Protocol) makes all the difference.  However, knowing that it worked on wifi from Apple in the store, I was really puzzled.

After ages bother with different parameters (especially in my router), I now know why it does not connect to home... My Virgin router to short on a range of address DHCP IP of 192.168. 0. * and my iPad suddenly won't connect unless the beach is 192.168. 1. * or higher.  (It connected OK for 2 years).  It took weeks to find this out, but at least now I can connect.  I turned on the wifi of comments because it uses the gamme.1.  Everything is good, connects the first time, every time!  I have not tried establishing a password (I was so happy, it connected I left because it was... well as I switch on the MAC filtering, for a little extra protection) I could try side password later and if it still connect, I'll update my post.

My solution is very well when I'm at home but is not going to help if I get the iPad with me - it will be hit & miss if I can get the WiFi also.  Must be set correctly - I see no that it is hardware related, so there must be a bug in the software/firmware.

Anyone having problems connecting to wifi can try the workaround network comments - at least it will get you.

Is there a future fix for this?

Re: iPad wifi suddenly does not save

Change the range on the router you want to connect to.

Help please before I do something for my new Toshiba P50t-A0EE.

I can connect to the net via my router if I use a network cable to my Netgear DGN2200 ADSL unit.
I can connect to the net via my phone Galaxy S2 via WiFi for my Toshiba.
I can connect to the net through 5 other computers in my house using WiFi and my Netgear DGN2200 ADSL unit.
I can get the net wifi with my phone too.

BUT I can't access Internet via WiFi on my new Win P50t-A0EE Toshiba 8.1.
It does not seem to connect, but when I try to access the net, he returned with limited connectivity.

I unchecked the box on the wireless card in the computer where it is said to use the power control.

    Hello

These and similar questions of WLan can be resolved for the most part by WLAN driver update.
Have you tried to update the driver WLan?

I'm not very well the laptop supports the card WLan, but this can be verified easily m.
Go to-> network adapters Device Manager
You will find information on the LAN and WLan cards.

If the laptop supports Intel WLan card, trying to get the most recent update of Intel page.

  • A WiFi limited access on Satellite A200

    Hello everyone

    I have a Toshiba Satellite A200-1IW

I installed windows 7 and put to update to service pack 1 about 5/6 months ago. It has worked flawlessly since. However, since last week the wifi connection is underway at limited access connectivity. To overcome this or I have to unplug and plug back or troubleshoot it. It works fine for about 2/3 minutes and gets back to limited connectivity. There is no problem with other devices that use the same connection except for my laptop.

I did some research here in the forums, so according to the suggestions I've changed settings of power saving for wifi, updated my driver (intel wireless wifi link 4965AGN) network for the last one on the site to intel. Updated my bios to 2.6 and the problem persists.
This problem is driving me crazy.

    Someone please help

    Hello

I had the same problem. It was related to my router.
I have no explanation for this, but after I reset the router, the problem disappeared.
It would be interesting to know if it would work for you too.

More I recommend you test the WiFi connection using open wireless network.
I mean that you can disable encryption and all the other security settings for testing purposes

    Thank you for your support.

    Hi there @extremaratio,

I tried to find out if there was any pilot is also available for Windows 10 and your laptop. Unfortunately, there is no driver Windows 10 is available now for your laptop HP G62-450SL.

At this point, there are two options for you I might suggest:

    • If the Wifi works in Windows 7, you can go back to Windows 7, do all your updates and then try Windows 10.
    • If the Wifi works without a problem in Windows 7, you can return to Windows 7 at the moment until the driver is available.
    • Or you can stay with Windows 10 and wait until the driver is available. For now, I can't give you a timetable regarding when the drivers will be available.

  • HP pavilion 15-e034tx: problem connecting WiFi portable computer (range)

It must be my 3rd question Forum from HP on the same subject. My computer laptop wifi range diminishes every day. Its a hardware problem, they said. The problem started 8 months ago, and my cell phone was in a center of HP service for about 3 months (laptop is under warranty). It's a terrible experience for me going on. They have never fixed-_-

    1. for the first time, they inserted a unsupported wifi card (that was a mistake, they said)-_ -

    2 repeated the same total 3 time > _

    3. insert another (different model) and it was much better with the stove.

    4. now the range diminishes every day-_-

5 - connection prob: Although he could see the wifi n/w refuses to connect to a more long-range (> 15 m)

    6. now a days it feels like they avoid me-_-

  • WiFi limited

Just bought my daughter an Inspirion 7352 July 31 of this year.  Initially worked great connection to Wi - Fi but since a few weeks access limited and not connected.  She needs it for college online.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    A few quick thoughts:

    (1) are other devices able to successfully connect to your Wi - Fi connection, and they are working to speed?

    (2) what operating system do you use?

    (3) recent updates/upgrade of any kind? Successful and did wireless work after the update/upgrade?

    (4) if he is on some flavor of Windows, are all updates to Windows (successfully) applied?

    (5) this problem continues after you have restarted/rebooted?

    (6) a bit of luck running the troubleshooter network (again, assuming that the Windows operating system)?

    (7) if she needs to to connect/get some work done now, you have an option to connect with ethernet (wired) as short term well that understand this?

    (8) could be the fault of hardware. Obviously under warranty. Direct purchase through Dell? Through retailer local? What kind of warranty service came with it? On the site? You spoke of assistance guaranteed to see if they are any use in troubleshooting?

Hope this helps or at least gets you moving to the solution.

  • BlackBerry Z10 WIFI limited notifications

I have a Z10 with ATT 1.0.2074 running. The problem I describe happened before the last OS update.

Home - when my z10 connects to my wifi - it shows connected, but I get a notification that the wifi is limited and I should connect another source. The wifi icon doesn't show in the bar at the top but ATT LTE, the BB logo and the bars are there.

I have tried a reboot Z10, restarted the router - changed batteries - have run out of options.

I run a web server from my home, so the router works fine and if I have a wireless connection to my laptop or tablet, fine. I do not understand the notification "limited." The full message says "wifi access is limited. Some websites are not accessible... etc >

Edit: it doesn't with my wifi to work.

    Any thoughts?

    Thank you

    VIC

I guess if you look at the IP address on your Blackberry when on your WiFi at home, you will see something like:

169.X.X.X, which means that it does not get assigned an IP address from your router.  A simple solution would be to assign a static IP address in the WiFi settings on your Blackberry to your home network.

The other reported similar problems with some routers.
