HP 15-r014tx: backlit keyboard not backlit laptop

Hey! I have a 15 HP laptop r014tx. I want to replace his keyboard with backlit keyboard. Can you help me?
Where can I get this keyboard?

Is not possible. A backlit keyboard was not an option on this model series so the motherboard has no place to plug a backlight cable and there is no part of keyboard that includes a backlight and adapt to this laptop. I'm sorry.

  • Backlit keyboard for my laptop.

I recently bought a HP laptop and I was wondering if I could pass the keyboard by purchasing a backlit keyboard. I just want to know if the backlit keyboard would work with my laptop because I read that it is not compatible with any laptop.

Also, I would be able to buy and install a wifi with blutooth card, or my laptop is not able to use it?

    Hello

The first manual/guide on the following link tells you two things:

a montherboards for the series do not have a place for you to plug in a backlit keyboard. You need lights for the keyboard, not you? That's the average, you will need to buy a motherboard also.

    (b) a list of wireless cards compatible with BT (page 1-3). My suggestion, buy a BT - USB dongle for little money can solve the problem one avoid a lot of headaches.

  • HP Pavilion 17-e020dx: can I replace a Keyboard(Non-Backlit) with a backlit keyboard in my laptop HP Pavilion 17-e020dx?

Can I replace a Keyboard(Non-Backlit) with a backlit keyboard in my laptop HP Pavilion 17-e020dx?

    Hello

This series of computers portable your (and many others) have only 1 option for keyboard:

Full-size, island-keyboard with numeric pad in black or white finish. Gesture of support: MultiTouch gestures
activated, two fingers to scroll and pinchzoom as default
    Faucets, active by default
Support for Windows 8 modern trackpad

Therefore, you can not replace the keyboard only, you must also replace the motherboard that supports a backlit keyboard. If necessary, it would be a very expensive upgrade.

    Kind regards.

  • my keyboard on my laptop does not work.

whenever I press a button on my keyboard, it does not. having to use the on-screen keyboard.

    any notice are muchly appriciated.

I tried these steps, and yes it does not say "this device does not work correctly". " but this isn't a plug in keyboard, its my laptop.

    Thanks for these tips if.

Ok. Go to 'Device Manager' look for 'keyboard' you say ' Standard PS/2 keyboard?

Go to the properties of the keyboard again and check the "resources".

You have the correct resource settings?

Are there any 'conflicts' with other devices?

Do a scan for the hardware changes perhaps?

It is possible that you may be able to figure out what to do next for better after looking at these.

  • Hello, please help me. I use a power keyboard for my laptop. I see in the new keyboard is equipped with a num lock key is turned on. I can't use on it please help me disable it. I do not use a NumLock on. Thank you

Hello, please help me. I use a power keyboard for my laptop. I see in the new keyboard is equipped with a num lock key is turned on. I can't use on it please help me disable it. I do not use a NumLock on. Thank you

You say that when you press the NUM LOCK key, the Numlock State does not change (if enabled to disabled and vice versa)?  Have you tried to unplug the keyboard and by ensuring that the keyboard of the laptop does not have enabled Numlock?  If so, turn it off on the laptop keyboard and reinsert the another keyboard and see if the problem is resolved.

If you do not need the Numlock key, it can be disabled at startup with the following procedure:http://www.technipages.com/enabledisable-numlock-at-login-or-startup.html. Once this is done, I don't think he's going to turn on or off and that they the keyboard will start in the off position.  You will not be able to use the key yourself or another, but maybe the problem she is on (which is worse than it to be impossible to be turned on) will be resolved and I hope it will be enough for you.

If the key does not work and you want to be able to use it, the keyboard may be defective.  Try the keyboard on another computer and see if you have the same problem.  If so, the keyboard is defective and must be replaced.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • Toshiba laptop keyboard not working not properly

Today my daughter was doing the work of the school on my old Toshiba laptop purchased in February 2012. It crashed at 12 Dec, Toshiba gave me the whole term on fixig so I had to have local difficulty. Even after it was fixed, it never was the same a awesome laptop turned into something of a child's play. Anyway, I gave this laptop to my daughter and bought another laptop. Once again, the Toshiba worked but was not until I had to do, was not quickly leave and the hard drive was not the same (once it has been repaired), but it was bearable for a child. Today, my daughter was of school work (or try) when she noticed problems with the keyboard. The buttons were working, but which has been pressed, wasn't showing on the screen. Example: If you press the W button, this indicates: 3/3/3/3/3 appears in the display. If you press the button, it appears:... (3) individual letters, numbers and random characters appear on the screen when you try to type. If you press BACKSPACE, it refreshes the page. I found an old office keyboard and ito the Toshiba is plugged and I am able to type without any problem, so I thought that it was a matter of device. I went to devices and printers, ran a bad shoot and got the following report:

SM Bus controller is not a driver not installed

    Problems encountered:
Unknown device is not a driver... Not fixed
Apply the solution to the problem of driver... . Completed
Install a driver for this device... done

SM Bus controller doesn't have a driver... Not fixed
Apply the solution to the problem of... completed pilot
Install a driver for this device... Completed

Problem with the PnP devices... Detected

Potential problems that have been verified:
Windows Update is configured to never install drivers... There is no question

I tried to install a driver using Windows Update, but it was uncessful / could not detect a driver installed. Windows has suggested I go the manufacturer of my laptop to download a driver from this site. I'm on the Toshiba site now and after entering my serial number on this subject, they gave me a list of updates. I do not know which install beause they have two updates listed under keyboard, 10 listed under devices. I don't know which one I need to choose.

When I first bouht the Toshiba it was Windows 7 (which came standard with all computers). The person who fixed installed Windows 7 Ultimate, if it helps. Can someone please advise on what is wrong with the laptop keyboard. The laptop was not great after it crashed / 'repaired', but he was able to do the basic functions

    Hello

Sorry, but I don't see it as a software problem, despite the report of devices and printers.  I would say that time has caught up with your computer "crashed" (where the report of devices and printers).

Are you able to type normally with an external keyboard, the "computer" went very well. The problem is with the keyboard and/or the original "repair" (which does not look like it completely solved the original problem).

My suggestion would be to take it to a repair shop trust you, or your daughter use the external keyboard, or possibly to invest a few hundred dollars in a used cell phone, or...

Keep me posted and let me know how you fare.

    Kind regards

  • TEAC sx-60 mouse and keyboard not recognized on my laptop but on my computer, it works fine

TEAC sx-60 mouse and keyboard not recognized on my laptop but on my computer, it works fine

It is the responsibility of the manufacturer to provide drivers.  If they are not, you will not be able to get from Microsoft.

  • I can't open a windows session that mouse and the keyboard of the laptop are not working

I had problems after trying to remove my hard drive security software, so I tried to run the Microsoft System Restore. It has not then I ran then ran the program to repair the disk supplied by HP with the notebook.

The result is that the laptop seems to start ok but when the log on window appears that I can't do as the full implementation of the mouse or the keyboard. The laptop is under XP SP3, but after the repair process, it now seems to be Build 2600 xpsp SP"rtm 040803 - 2158 Service pack 2.

The laptop is a HP Pavilion dv4232EA

I can solve this problem of the mouse and keyboard without reformatting and loading of software?

If not, is there a way to recover some data from HDD files before reformatting?

    nvsm1

    Hey nvsm1,

I'm sorry that you run into this problem starting. Absolutely, there is a way to get hold of these data. Better yet, it's free too! You can use a LiveCD. The link below has all the information you need on creating a LiveCD and how to use it to recover your data. That case is due to infection by the virus, but it can be used in all cases where the Windows operating system has become corrupted and does not start (drops physical, boot manager or viral infections is damaged).

Recovering data using a Knoppix LiveCD

Because the repairs go well, the best next step would be a total reformat Windows, unfortunately. You pourriez give repair one more try, but I think it will finally take a reformat. I would recover the data first before trying an alternative remedy.

Please let me know if you have other issues with Knoppix or whatever it is. Let me know the results when you get a chance

  • Keys on the keyboard of the laptop does not match the characters typed on the screen after having connected and disconnected the separate keyboard

I have a Dell Vostro 1310 (laptop).  My laptop keyboard was working fine until I decided to plug in a keyboard separated from Dell on the USB port, just to give my fingers a break from typing on the small keys of the laptop and then unplugged the keyboard to the keyboard of the laptop again.  Now, when I type using the keys of the laptop, some keys produce different characters on the screen.  This is what happens:

    "uiop' became keys ' 456."
    "jkl;" become "-123"
    "m" becomes "0" and
    '0' becomes ' / '.

I think it may have something to do with the left button "Fn" Blue right next to the 'Ctrl' key on the lower side of the portable keyboard, because characters that appear match the blue characters on these keys with a malfunction.

Can someone tell me please how to get these keys again function normally and to prevent this from happening in the future?

I found the answer on another forum on the Internet.  Press SHIFT + Num Lk to deactivate the mode of operation.

Well, no, actually, I talked to someone at Microsoft and he discovered for me. The answer is the keyboard on the top right of my keyboard and the third button on the end. Worked like magic.     Thanks again!

    Hi Patrick,

    1. what type of keyboard you use? Is it wireless or wired?

    2. did you of recent changes on the system?

    3. what web browser do you use?

    Method 1:

If you use Internet Explorer, you can use another web browser and check if the problem occurs.

    Method 2:
    Step 1:

You can start the computer in safe mode with network and check if the problem persists.
    Startup options (including safe mode)

    Step 2:

If you do not experience the problem in safe mode with networking, you can perform a clean boot and check.

A clean boot to check if startup item or services to third-party application is causing this issue.

You can read the following article to put the computer in a clean boot:

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

After the troubleshooting steps, please refer to clean the boot link to put the computer to normal startup mode.
