HP 15-r014TX Notebook pc: restored to 8.1 Windows of Windows 10

I upgraded my pc to Windows 10 Windows 8.1 about 6 months ago and now I want to go back to Windows 8.1. I can do that directly from setting recovery that this option is not there anymore. But I have windows.old file in the c drive. How to restore windows 8. 1 these files?

Just boot from the recovery discs and run them by following the instructions on the screen. It will clean the hard drive and everything back to factory state just like when you opened the box.

  • Satellite L650 - 12K - restore the factory with Windows password settings?

    Hello

Today I received my new Toshiba Satellite L650 - 12K. I went through the process of "first use" and put in place my name of user and password Windows 7 etc.

However, after a reboot, when I tried to enter my password to connect to Windows, it says it is incorrect. I tried different combinations of password I used (I know what it's like I wrote it down at the time)-ive tried caps, plugs etc but nothing works.

If I order the Toshiba recovery disks I will be able to return the laptop to factory settings and start the installation again, including Windows?.

PS - I only put an account so can't even connect you as another user.

Thanks for your time and your help.

    Gary2802.

    Hey Buddy,

Yes, the Toshiba recovery disc can restore the initial configuration (on the box settings) even you don t know the password because it will remove the whole HARD disk and restore the version preinstalled Windows from Toshiba.

So don t you worry about this, Toshiba Recovery disk will help you! ;)

  • Firefox stuck as maximized, "restore down" minimizes the window

Firefox window is stuck as enlarged, the restore down does not work correctly.

"restore down" minimizes the window & it won't then return to the screen unless I right click on it on the task bar & then click maximize.

Button reduce works as it should and the window can be restored (maximize) clicking on Firefox in the taskbar.

When it happened first, I closed Firefox & restarted Windows (Vista). This has not solved the problem

This is caused by Firefox 'restoration' as a small window "off screen" for some reason any. This bug has existed for a while, but for some reason some has never been properly fixed. Restarts without worrying won't fix because it maintains simply restore the window off screen ever time.

The work around is to select the window in the task bar, click on 'move' and then press an arrow key. This will bring the window on the screen where it can be relative to the size, most of the time that he wouldn't do it again, it seems to happen more often for me during a restore, but it is a sporadic, so I'm not sure what makes.

  • After restoring my system to Windows Vista, my screen resolution is incorrect.

    Screwed up resolution :(

I had to restore my computer to Windows vista after putting 7 window on it... now my screen resolution is turned off, it is the top of the screen to the bottom, but has 2 black bars on the sides... Ive already tried to settle the reso to max, but this isn't the problem. Help

Apparently, that's what to do, another great problem, I can't get my internet to work at all, it says there is no network, I can't spend all the discovery network on or anything, and I have NO idea where the original disc is provided with the computer :( Hating technology now

You have a computer that works (obviously).  You probably have a USB stick/thumb drive/CD or DVD, you can use and a way to write, huh?  Something like that?

Get what you need to the manufacturer of the computer support and the web page of the driver of your make & model of computer (that you try to fix) while on this computer to work and put these files on the mentioned media.  That put media into the computer you try to set and use the programs installation either him or copy them to the desktop of the computer in question and install from there.

  • Download Windows Vista 64-bit to restore from overview of Windows 8?

I can support Windows vista 64 to restore from overview of windows 8

    Hello.

There is no Windows Vista downloads available from Microsoft.

You can contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.

They should do this for a small fee.

To reinstall Vista using their recovery disk/s, you start from the 1st recovery disk they provide and follow the manufacturer's instructions to reinstall:

You need to change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order:

How to change the Boot order in BIOS:

    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/fixtheproblem/SS/bootorderchange.htm

"How to replace Microsoft software or hardware, order service packs and replace product manuals.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/326246

Do you know until try you it if the recovery Partition is available or not.

It depends on how you installed Windows 8 and how your computer manufacturer has the set up recovery Partition.

He destroyed it with a manufacturer that I know.

Installation of Windows 8 could destroy this option of relocation:

And if you have never received a recovery disk when you bought your computer, there should be a recovery Partition on the hard drive to reinstall Vista on how you purchased your computer.

The recovery process can be started by pressing a particular combination of the key or keys at startup. (Power on / start)

    Maybe it's F10, F11, Alt + F10, etc., depending on the manufacturer.

Ask them to the proper key sequence.

Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.

If this happens, you may need to try this instead:

You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.

Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.

And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs

Here's how to do a clean install of Vista using a DVD of Vista from Microsoft:

"How to do a clean install and configure with a full Version of Vista '

    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/117366-clean-install-full-version-Vista.html

And phone Activation may be necessary when you use the above installation method.

"How to activate Vista normally and by Activation of the phone '

    See you soon.

  • 'Restore gadgets installed with windows' this selection is gray and cannot be selected. What now?

    original title: Desktop sidebar gadgets

When you download a new gadget which folder does download while it appears in the selection of additional gadget.  I can't find a record that relates to the sidebar or gadgets on my computer.  Ran a search, and they do not always show upward.  In addition, instructions to restore gadgets installed with the computer: do right click Select sidebar - select Properties - 'Restore gadgets installed with windows' this selection is gray and cannot be selected.  What now?

Here are the steps to download and install new gadgets. http://freewindowsvistatutorials.com/meetWindowsVista/windowsSidebarAndGadgets/downloadAndInstallSidebarGadgets.htm. There is no particular place to download - usually, I download them to the desktop for installation and then I use C:\Users\personal myself (with a special created Gadgets folder it contains) to store the download for use later, if necessary (assuming that I save it at all). Also, this procedure explains how to remove gadgets using the sidebar, so you don't have to go looking to uninstall files or anything like that.

As far as the original gadgets go, here's a thread on the same problem with a solution which is marked as an answer (even if the person who has posted never confirmed it worked):http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/vistaprograms/thread/1a979f08-a67e-43a6-a87c-3fa02dff9be1.

If this does not work, perhaps to restore the entire box will solve the problem.  Here's how:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/963010.  It can uninstall everything new gadgets that you added when it resets to zero (and I'm not positive that it will restore the original gadgets if he can fix the button greyed out), but if you accept that, it's worth a try.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • Problems with Dell Factory Image Restore - Dell Inspiron 1564 - Windows 7 Home Premium

    Hello

My laptop (Dell Inspiron 1564 - Windows 7 Home Premium) slowed down a few days ago and I decided to restore the system to Dell Factory Image. The process started but stopped at most of halfway and gave the following message: "unable to apply the Image. I rebooted the system, but it would now not start, not even in safe mode! Perhaps, during the process of restoring a few essential Windows files have been erased.

I want to restore the Image of Dell and can not reinstall Windows because I lost the product key of my Windows 7 original installation DVD provided by Dell at the time of the purchase of the laptop. Your help / advice is solicited and would be much appreciated.

    Thank you.

P.S. The system recovery Partition is intact and has factory.wim and other related directories / files intact.

If you use the Windows 7 Home Premium DVD Dell reinstallation it will automatically apply the Dell OEM SLP activation. In short, a product key is entered from the DVD and active if and only if the BIOS is validated by Dell to perform Windows 7. Therefore, you do not have the key 25-digit number on the certificate of authenticity. If you want to know the code then look under the battery.

    Hi abgolf3,

The question may be how the new hard drive has been formatted.  Take a look at the way in which the reader is implemented by clicking Start > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > double-click on computer management > double-click storage.  Is all the space on the disk are responsible?  If so, take a look at these two documents for your problem:

    Mark a partition as active

Format a hard drive or partition to NTFS format

You can save custom desktop icon position and restore it if necessary, using the Layout.dll of Microsoft shell extension. REF:Save and restore available to the icon on the desktop in Windows NT/2000/XP/Vista/7. Or try DesktopOK Freeware - save and restore the desktop icons.
